    I respect toyota for making side airbags and stability control as standard across the range for the altis, then the yaris, and in the rush (hopefully in their entire line up too, soon) Finally, safety is becoming a priority.

    Bought a Rush this July, after more than two weeks break in, nag try ako ng speed up to 80 km or more..BOOM! heard clunking noise when decelerating. Confirmed by the test engineer, was advised to leave the vehicle sa casa for further verification/confirmation by an Indonesian engineer of the problem before any repair can be done. Ten days after, was told to pick up the unit, siempre I need to test kung ok na after they told me nagpalit sila ng bearing or gears sa diferential, TOINK meron pa rin and at 60kph meron ng sound. Brand new unit ko ha at hindi second hand! Safe naman daw to use kaya uwi ko muna kasi need nila communicate sa Indonesia what decision nila regarding the said problem. After waiting na naman for more than a week, they have scheduled the unit for further repair this end of August. Meanwhile, eto kami suffering from stress, sleepless nights, anguishing over the unit we bought with hard earned money. At eto pa, to somehow lighten our predicament, I was told na "Sir, tatlo kayong units dito with the same problem" , Huh? Is this what they meant when they say It's a Toyota? nakadagdag pa sa worry namin, Wish me luck and more patience.

    Acceleration from idle is a bit lacking and 100kph at almost 3k rpm is not ideal but I love my Rush 1.5G. Fully loaded trunk and seats and still can carry us with no issues.

    Is Toyota snubbing the MPV category with the Rush? It's like saying that they don't want to compete with the recently launched Expander, or the likes of the BRV, Suzuki Ertiga etc.
    They want the Rush to be in the 'entry level suv' category. Entry level is not equivalent to small suv because they already have the CHR, but more of an inexpensive SUV for those on a budget. Good positioning then.
    Whichever way Toyota wants to put it, buyers will still consider the Rush as a direct competitor to the Expander and the likes. It's just that Mitsubishi categorized the expander as a MPV.
    I guess it's just like how a parent gives a nickname to their kid. Just preference - Suv, mpv, entry level suv, baby Fortuner etc.

    Already shortlisted BR-V 1.5V and Rush 1.5G for my requirement of 7-seater and almost got a nice deal with Honda Cars Rizal Taytay. Then we also have the Toyota Taytay store nearby that's tempting me with the RUSH 1.5G. I already scrutinized the exteriors/interiors. Then visited Toyota Bel-Air Makati to scrutinize the three displayed RUSH and found common whitening of the black plastic interior. Armor-all lang daw ang katapat sabi ng ahente. Found it strange, really, for a 3 display models of 1.5G, 1.5E Matic and manual. My Vios need not to be Armor-Alled as I don't get that kind of surface condition.
    I test drove the BR-V 1.5S on June 16, 2018
    Honda Taytay>>>Brookside>>>Park Place>>>Ortigas Ave Ext.>>>uphill to Antipolo (todo hataw kapag libre kalye)>>>downhill to Sumulong Hway>>>Marcos Hway>>>pushed engine to 90KPH until I pass through Sta. Lucia>>>Junction Cainta>>>Honda Taytay
    1) With slight to moderate to quite heavy traffic almost anywhere from those road: Mileage at 31km with decent 10.9-11.3km/liter as compared to my Vios 1.5G manual (8-9km/liter on same road condition).
    2) Seats and cushion are just right for my family of 5 + 1 servant (20yrs old para magaang)
    3) Suspension is great. Kahit yung mga lubak, butas at humps sa subdivision, swabe at 10-20KPH speed.
    4) Engine is so quiet for me as I can only compare it to my Vios 1.5G (semi-old na). I believe the BV-V 1.5S test unit is a year old already or probably more since it was launched on Q4 2016 in Philippines.
    5) Handling is very nice. Steering is not numb at high speed.
    These are the above five specs and details I'm highly considering after checking all those specs, features and beauty from the two competitors. Admittedly I'm a Toyota fan but would like to give it a shot with Honda. Xpander is out of my equation due to limited space on my small garage. Ayaw naman natin ibilad sa kalsada yung auto kapag brand-new.
    Therefore, can RUSH 1.5G beat my above findings. I asked Toyota Taytay for test drive, wala pa daw sila and no specific timing for the allocation :( .
    Can any body attest the same for the RUSH 1.5G. What were your findings for friends who actually test drove the unit? Thanks.

    Looks like it really does have a good ground clearance (220mm holy God!), interesting engine but, does it have thigh support for the driver para sa long drives?

      Mighty Mookie engine isn't interesting. Carry over from the current 1.5 avanza. Bigger vehicle same engine from avanza.

    • @That-riyadh-gamerBlogspot
      @That-riyadh-gamerBlogspot 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      86anpaj it really depends because if you just want to drive conservatively under 100 km/h i think that's fine becuasw Zamboanga City doesn't encourage to drive beyond that limit. And the price hike of fuels, I think it can probably serve conservatively better.

    Toyota Rush, maganda na sana eh, kaso kung safety feature kamo para sakin di safe idrive to. pag naka experience ka na malakas ang ulan at kamalas malasan mo nag fog ang front windshield mo at nasa NLEX or SLEX ka. kamot ulo ka na lang kz walang defogger to sa harap, so mush for safety db. unfortunately I own one of this Toyota Rush G 1.5 A/T.

      LOL yung 15 years old car ko nga walang airbags bakit ngayon buhay pa kami? Nasa driver na yan, kung kaskasero ka kahit 100 na airbags pa ilagay mo siguradong patay ka pa rin. Xpander has cruise control (wala sa Rush), keyless entry, push start engine botton, hill start assist, active stability traction control, break assist, abs, telescopic and tilt wheel (wala sa Rush), driver's side height adjuster (wala yan sa Rush), 3 smart phone chargers, many compartments, 7' touch screen monitor with GPS and reverse cam, supports mp3, ipod, blue tooth etc., all power windows and side mirror, KOS, OE alarm. Anong pinagsasabi mong more features yung Rush? Kaya nga #1 at "Car of the Year" yang Xpander sa Indonesia samantalang #9 lang at nilalangaw kasi makipot, matagtag at maingay makina niyang Rush.

    Why do you need to go for 100% digital copies? Cost cutting? Maximized profit? Saving paper? Sometimes, people prefer printed media, and collectible magazines. Yes, I have iPads, smartphones, and laptop. But, every month, I still look forward on buying the latest issue on magazine stands. Even the regular trips to the barber and coffee shops would be so boring without having a physical magazine at hand. I’m going to buy lots of copies of your final issue, for posterity sake.

      depende sa pg gamit mo mahal o mura parehas maluluma at mgdepriciate unless ala lng pera sa iyo. practicality is the key, 5- 10 yrs sakit sa ulo ang sira mahal o mura ang car , minsan nga kahit ano ingat mo kahit d masyo pg gamit.

      Marian Rivera hindi nman po nila siguro mamahalan yung sskyan kung tulad din sya ng quality nung mura di po ba? 😊 basta sundin nyo lang handbook ng sskyan nyo sa dos and donts para tumagal sskyan nyo. Yung isa nmen toyota 1996 model pa wala problema 😊 yung isa 1998. Durability tlaga Toyota. Dapat marunong ka lang gumamit.. Kaya kahit mura tong mini fortuner tiwala pdn ako, ang point ko lang po is.. Waste of money.. Dun nlng ako sa fortuner. Investment na din nman e. Hehe

      Siyempre toyota rush, Rush has been used in 4 different continents already and very high ground clearance and ito lang ang rwd di katulad sa xpander,brv,ertiga, etc rivals

    I will take the BRV over this.. primarily because of the CVT engine in the BRV..
    if filipino buyer will not anymore buy 4speed cars like this, Toyota will start selling them in CVTs.. Yaris and Vios are already in CVTs.. if you like this car and not in a hurry, DON'T BUY IT yet.. if the sales go down, they will change the engine to CVT, then that's the time to buy it :)

    • @corolla9545
      @corolla9545 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will choose Rush over the BR-V, its totally fine for the Rush to have a 4-speed automatic transmission, it still rides fast and Rush is more reliable for its higher ground clearance and rear-wheel drive, perfect balance driving and its a TOYOTA, you can never go wrong with a TOYOTA.

    • @marvinmendoza5704
      @marvinmendoza5704 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      COROLLA95 I did not notice that.. Rush is RWD.. i will give that to Toyota as an advantage.. but i still hope they offer it in CVT..
      Among Rush, Xpander and BRV.. Rush has the lowest horsepower and torque and lowest fuel efficiency.. BRV has the highest hp/torque and fuel efficiency..

    • @corolla9545
      @corolla9545 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      marvin mendoza CVT transmission is not good for an MPV, its only good for cars.....
      And it doesn't matter if the RUSH has the lowest horsepower and torque and lowest fuel efficiency, it still runs fast, and about fuel efficiency, it's really all about the way you drive. Even if your car claimed that it is fuel efficient, but the driver has a heavy foot, then its still not fuel efficient. Toyota all the way around, it is far more better than the BRV and Xpander, plus it got 5 stars in the NCAP safety test....

    • @marvinmendoza5704
      @marvinmendoza5704 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      COROLLA95 I disagree sir.. horsepower and torque matters.. maybe it doesn't matter to you.. for you, it still feels fast but that's very subjective.. to compare and determine which one is better, you have to measure it..
      Fuel efficiency.. i understand that a big factor for that is the driver but the engine/transmission is very big factor for fuel efficiency..
      Hp, torque and fuel efficiency.. these are what car manufacturers continue to improve.. those matters to me.. but maybe not to you.. or maybe for you, the difference does not matter..
      Horsepower, torque and fuel efficiency.. the only advantage Rush has is RWD.. other than that, in my opinion, it is behind the BRV and the XPander eventhough Xpander is also 4speed AT..
      Sir, if you like the Rush, then go ahead buy it.. for me kasi outside the RWD, it should be ranked behind the BRV and XPander..

    • @marvinmendoza5704
      @marvinmendoza5704 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      COROLLA95 sir, by the way, what made you say CVT is only for cars?
      Mobilio and BRV are doing very well with CVT..
      I believe Toyota will eventually put CVT in Rush.. what Rush has now is the old engine of the Vios.. eventually the 4speed AT engine of Rush will be replaced by the CVT engine found in the new Vios..

      there is one. i believe it's the toyota rush E m/t costing 945k. I went to a dealership last monday and quite impressed witht he looks of the rush. Although only a child or 5'3" high person could sit comfortably at the back as I personally tried to sit on the 3rd row and it's not comfortable for me. I'm 5'7". btw, Xpander glx m/t is 925k though I'm still thinking which to buy

    I hope this car doesn't reach India. They are a lot of people wanting this car to arrive in India. Please be patient and don't ask when it is coming out to India. You have to be quiet or else, Toyota won't release it until all of you Indians stop asking when it is going to launch.
