    It seems like at 1500 degrees all the seasoning you put on is just burnt not necessarily seared. I think just salt is about all that can withstand that temperature.

      Salts burning point is about 1474 F so that may even turn to ash.

    Just got a broiler and wondering how hot it gets underneath the grill. Will it be safe on a large folding table or does it need to be metal or stone surface?

    Nice of you giving dogs the tomahawk bones with some meats in it. I’m sure it’s their best times of their lives!!!

      If you do any research, you'll know that it's dangerous to give your dogs cooked bones.

    I hope you'll pardon my ignorance, but what's the purpose of the string? What does tying the meat up do for the cook?

    • @grillmastere
      @grillmastere  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. Ribeye's are very tender and the cap tends to fall off if you're not careful. String just helps hold it all together👍

    What it was the final temperature?

    hello! Did you put them in the oven on the stove first? for how long? In the blazing bull, how long did you leave them on each side?

    • @grillmastere
      @grillmastere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, sorry for the delayed response. Yes, I used the reverse sear method where I started them in the oven first at 250 degrees until the center got to about 100 degrees. Then I finish seared them on the Blazing Bull to about 120 degrees before resting for 10 minutes. The final internal temp was about 130 degrees after resting. I sear in the Blazing bull about a minute on each side, and keep flipping until it reaches that 120. Doesn't take long at all.

    My favorite is not cutting it up too. Although slices can work just as well

    • @grillmastere
      @grillmastere  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've found serving big groups, you're better off slicing them up. Goes a lot further and not as much wasted beef! If it's just me though, I'm eating the whole steak 👍

      No. I cook with cast iron all the time and you cannot get cast iron to 1500 degrees. There's a reason high end steakhouses use infrared.
