I do appreciate that Rumple actually made an effort to be actually, selflessly good this last season instead of flip-flopping as he had previously. we could certainly argue that this season wasn't needed, but I still like him finally being a fairly consistent good guy.
@@soixsantes yeah, even when he'd get his chance to get rid of the darkness by transferring his power to a purely good soul (Alice) he couldn't do it because he knew the immortality would only be a burden to her. Purely selfless in that moment. He would have been moved on to go be with Belle but chose not to for the sake of an innocent. Actual character growth!

@@Immortal_Liberty actually I haven't Wish Relem Rumple only could die by real Rumple dieing the fact also is the wish Relm also had one catch Wish Regina never cast the curse so in a way it was Wish snow and Charmings fault because they Killed or banished Wish Regina before she or after she was supposed to cast the curse and also wish Rumple was stupid bc he never bothered to move on after his Belle died
I like that the more evil Rumple gets the heavier his makeup is, so here his most evil self is almost completely covered up and his jacket even looks more padded out.

As much as I think this final season was really wonky with all the duplicate characters (Alice even though we had an Alice in Wonderland spin off, Cinderella even though we already have an established version of those characters) I do enjoy these last couple of episodes as a finale to the series. Having a version of Rumple be the final villain while the real Rumple defeats him and is redeemed, and Regina becoming the Good Queen and uniting the realms of story with Storybrooke, is all very satisfying to watch.

Um- pretty sure it was. He met her outside the battlefield and she told a prophecy and he got scared etc etc, saw some things etc etc and then decided to smack the thingy down on his leg.🐿✌
Rumple first met the Seer when she was a child during the First Ogre Wars and she prophesied about what would happen on the battlefield. He would lose his son. He then injured himself, went home to a wife who despised him for his cowardice. Many years later, after Rumple became the Dark One, he found the Seer who was then an adult. She then prophesied that he would find his son, he would not cast the curse, and the boy that brought him to his son would be is undoing.
It was two separate thoughts. The day they met the Seer is the day they "hobbled" themselves, he then says "and" referring to years later when they received the prophecy from that same Seer.
I mean, Rumple has saved them like a billion times, sooooo... if that happened at any point they'd be doomed. Imagine if he'd stayed undone in Season 3 with Pan!! It's a good thing he destroyed all the super powerful baddies, because now they're gonna have to handle everything on their own.
WR rumple is stronger than original rumple...he already consume by darkness, no belle, no chance to meet bae...so he abandon things like love and affection
Cyber Knight I don’t think WR is more powerful , I think it’s the simple fact that he’s fully evil and Original Rumple is trying to avoid using Dark magic because he wants to get back to Belle.

WR Rumple suspected SOMETHING was up - "What could possibly have changed?" And he hesitated before taking the dagger, even though this deal is absolutely perfect for him. It's TOO perfect, therefore suspect. But the temptation of power was just too much and overrode his instincts.
this scene was abit stupid. like just because regina enters the room, gold has to stop and talk and the effects of squid ink could just suddenly wear off
I think he didn't want her to see him unalive WR Rumple. He's been acting so good and probably doesn't want her to regress to the Evil Queen by following in his footsteps. Regina often does follow his example as Rumple is her mentor and probably the person she respects the most. Either that or he's embarrassed - he often tried to hide his dark acts from others before. There were only a few drops of ink on the dagger handle, too; too much and WR Rumple would've noticed the shine. So it didn't last very long.

His Belle starved to death in Regina's tower. He has no happy ending, so all he has is darkness and power.
