wood turning - don't let the cracks (stop you)

This woodturning video is a woodturning project full of cracks. But don't let that stop you. watch the video and I'll demonstrate.
This is wood I found while walking in the woods. The wood is pacific madrone which is beautiful wood. I sanded to 500 grit, cleaned with denatured alcohol, and finished with my homemade friction polish.
By the way...its twig pot. These things sell great at shows and craft fairs. fill the booth with these and start collecting the money.
