- Innovation!! In this video, I'll show you how I created a unique work of art to spectacular effect using a different technique I devised. This innovative technique opens up a wide range of possibilities and offers many potential ideas for creating captivating projects. 🔍 What Makes This Project Special?
New Idea: Inspired by a spirit of optimization, this idea came to mind to create elegant, geometric, and whimsical patterns for a modern and sophisticated look.
New Technique: This involves creating a wooden mold that we will retain in the final product, in which we can insert resin, wood, or any other materials.
New Project: After developing this technique, many ideas came to mind, and this is the project I chose, hoping it will inspire you.
📦 Materials and Tools Needed:
High-quality wood (walnut, maple, here I use jabota)
Lathe and turning gouges (well sharpened 😉)
Epoxy resin and various colorants
Vacuum chamber
Sandpaper of different grits for a perfect finish
Varnish to protect and enhance the wood
🛠️ Project Steps:
Wood Preparation: Selection and calibration of the necessary sections.
Preparation of Wooden Molds
Strategic Insertion of Wood Pieces into the Molds
Pouring the Epoxy Resin
Finishing: Careful sanding and application of a pore filler, followed by two coats of varnish.

🔍 Qu'est-ce qui rend ce projet spécial ?
Nouvelle Idée : c'est toujours dans une esprit d'optimisation que cette idée m'est venu a l'esprit, afin de créer des motif élégants, géométriques et à la fois fantaisiste pour un look moderne et sophistiqué.
Nouvelle Technique : cela consiste en la creation d'un moule en bois que nous conserverons dans le produit final et dans lequel nous pourrons y insérer ,de la résine du bois ou tout autre matériaux
Nouveau projet: après avoir mis au point cette technique ,de nombreuses idées me sont venues et c'est ainsi que j'ai opté pour ce projet qui j'espère vous inspirera.
📦 Matériaux et Outils Nécessaires :
Bois de qualité (noyer, érable, ici j'utilise du jabota)
Tour à bois et gouge de tournage ( bien affutées😉)
Résine époxy et colorants divers
Chambre a vide
Papier de verre de différents grains pour une finition parfaite
Vernis pour protéger et sublimer le bois

Beautiful work, and I applaud your patience. I've used several of your techniques with great results. Could you tell me what table saw you use? I can't seem to find any on the market with a built-in table sled.

The saw that I use is a Bosch GTS 10 XC but there are other more efficient ones on the market.

What speed do you turn at … I find m42 negative rake scrapers work well for the final surface at ~1200 rpm’s ?

yes that's it, I use these gouges at 1200/1400 rpm..but I always sharpen them before using them.
No i'm not a 'streber', i'm no perfectionist.
But that crooked edge 's been bugging me,
It's been bothering me enormously,
