  • Trying out my new lathe with one of my favorite projects. This design is my favorite and they are my best seller's. The lathe works great and I'm happy with the tealight holder. Candle holders are easy to make and very popular to sell or as a gift.
I hope you enjoy the video.
    Thanks for watching!

Congrats on the new lathe. You deserve it. I have enjoyed your branch and 4x4 videos. Trying to get back into it again after a long time away. Feels like starting all over again. The brain remembers what to do but the body has not figured it out. Gets frustrating at times. I got you for inspiration ha ha. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Keep at it. You have an advantage because you've done it before.

What’s the wood spacer between the work and the chuck for? Thanks. I’ve been mesmerized by you turnings….

Thank you! I'm glad your enjoying them! The spacer is a backing plate for more support on the turning blank.

I have been looking for a true full variable speed lathe. No belt & pulley changing. What would you recommend?

    • @RcWoodturning

I'm not that familiar with that many brands. I would say look for something with an electronic speed control and also which ever has the lowest rpm speed.
Sorry I can't help more with that.

Get a one way,if you can afford it. You can turn it down to 1rev per minute if you want to.
