I have been and still am on the side of the semi driver. Pulling a 60,000 pound trailer is a big responsibility that takes well earned skill. But I have seen some semi drivers thinking they were competing in NASCAR. That scares me because of the carnage that can happen. I always give way to a trucker/semi driver because I may be a skilled driver, but I’m not a stupid driver.
It's also why playing a game of chicken with a semi-driver pulling a load *that heavy* is a really, really dumb idea. Because the moment the semi-driver succumbs to road rage then it's a reminder where, between a "match" between a semi pulling a 60k+ pound trailer and a puny-by-comparison everyday vehicle, the semi with the heavy load will *always* win... and that's a lesson that these idiots are going to learn the very, VERY hard way.
It's just like motorcycle riders and cars. They're constantly zipping around, flouting the rules like they own the road. When they _should_ be terrified of what happens if there's a collision. in addition to speeding... he neglects to point out that he crossed the solid line to pass the truck.... just to show him? I think the issue is that the industry is so short of drivers that they don't worry too much about who they have driving for them.
Interesting you picked up on the railroad tracks / distance, and later the driver felt it necessary to speed up, cross a solid line just to "teach someone a lesson".. good observations. This is one of the MANY reasons I don't drive big rigs anymore. I saw a lot of video's here where the Trucker was the idiot. And it's true. A high percentage of them shouldn't be behind the wheel of a big rig. They follow too close, speed up when someone is trying to pass, drive aggressively etc. I personally have had them speed up to keep Me from passing on a 2 lane road to keep you in oncoming traffic lane which could end up in a head-on collision. Most are A Holes and Mental cases. I have even had one nut road rage on Me then call the company saying I did it. Didn't have dash cam, I wish I had though. But I will never drive them anymore.. The majority of the issues is lack of training. I don't know how the training goes with the ltl carriers, but they train. So does fed ex and ups. They tend to be some of the worse. Amazon will let anyone with a truck pull their trailers. From what I've heard the rates are so low and the appointments are so close together any trucker who isn't desperate would park before pulling one of those trailers. Next is the mega carriers. Companies like Knight, Swift, C.R. England, Werner, Western Express, and Schneider to name a few. They just want buts in seats and will take pretty much anyone and train them. Plus their trainers generally have at minimum less then a year of experience. The company I went to only requires 6 months with a clean record. And finally you have foreigners driving for Canadian carriers who have no idea how our laws work or how to drive on our roads. Improper training and a minor knowledge of English is the biggest deficiency I've noticed here on the road.
@Frankie Bleddyn I don't know about now, but I know logging trucks in Oregon were dangerous as hell. We got run off the road by one in an alleged state park that was really controlled by loggers.

While not the best move, I kind of think the guy at 1:33 was preventing the truck behind him from passing because that truck looked immensely impatient and probably would have crashed into the oncoming semi hard.
@Frankie Bleddyn Maybe, maybe not... but that wide turn was most likely because the towed truck was on both axles and it's a long wheelbase. Turn right and he could literally rip the tires up dragging them sideways.

1:04 The truck driver is an asshole for staying in the left lane, they should have seen that they could not make it and slow to go behind, instead they felt entitled to the passing lane and held their lane. The black vehicle is criminally responsible for this attempted murder though.
3:30, just call it a wash, get what you deserve for clogging up the road. Pile of dirt in the left lane should have received a ticket for disrupting the flow of traffic like it deserved.
I used to tow a small camper with a Datsun, and I watched out for truck traffic, moved left to let them pick up some speed on the downhill so they could get up the next one. They would signal me when it was ok to pull back in, then I would signal thanks, no drama, brake checking or other B's. Makes for a pleasant drive.
I've gotten to the point where it has become very clear to me why so many truckers are leaving their careers and why so many other potential truckers decide to go in another direction.

Nice catch, I didn't notice the GPS showing the speed here, though even without that you could kind of tell the truck was purposely keeping him blocked in. The car should have just slowed down and moved in behind him, rather than try to play chicken with 80,000 pounds.

Or maybe, don't camp on the right of the semi?
@@realulli, we have absolutely zero idea how many cars were behind the semi or the other car.
I was a road technician. I spent countless hours on the road. I always worked with drivers and tried to help them any way I could. I’m so glad they have dash cams to protect themselves now because people are idiots!
If you will notice in the video he pick up behind the tow truck had flashing lights period that is a safety truck for the tow truck driver so that people behind them know something else is going on
1:15 What a piece of....*******!
1:20... While brake checking psychos is not a smart move, the trucker, qas the ass here...
3:29... Vehicular Assault & Hit n Run. After jail time of at least 5 years, that trucker should have a lifetime revocation Of his CDL.
5:12... "I thought I head a strange noise under my car, so I pulled onto the Emergency Shoulder, and this illegally passing biker hit me." 😈
As a final note...remember...never brake check a tailgater...DOWNSHIFT!😈 (Then it's THEIR FAULT, and ya get a big pay day...lol)
Stupid BMW M5 F10 driver crashes nearly into a innocent driver. Somewhere in Russia 🇷🇺
th-cam.com/video/crvvYvNpgLw/w-d-xo.html
That or remove the brake light fuse then quickly install it again ;-) Ha Ha.
That one trucker needs to invest in a mirror.
That trucker around 2:05 passing the FedEx truck that pulled out in front of them on the left did so over a solid yellow with adjacent driveways (which is likely the reason why it's a solid yellow), into potentially oncoming traffic. Absolute bonehead move, because once you've committed to that on a two-lane road, you don't have anywhere to go if there's traffic you didn't see. What if someone you didn't see had pulled out of a driveway headed in the opposite direction? Idiot. Put your ego aside and just slow down. Sure, he could've waited, but what you did was infinitely more stupid.
At 6:00, "hope they crash one day" Really? You're wishing potential death upon fellow humans? On what appears to not even be public road no less, but instead a private company driveway/entrance... Sure, that Civic was an idiot going around you on the wrong side, but seriously, get over yourself and seek help. Wishing harm to others because of something that merely delayed you... You're part of what's wrong with with the world. That's like you butting in line at a grocery store and me saying "I hope you trip down the stairs tomorrow morning" knowing full well that you could easily break your neck or die doing so. That's NOT ok.
at 2:05, the trucker was going 58 KMH and speeds up to 66 KMH, and at the 2:14 mark, one can clearly see the max speed limit is 50 KMH. That trucker is driving just like all the drivers that annoy him.
Amen brother I'm a driver myself in the last 2-0 does not need to be driving. That was way too many close calls
Potential death? My, how dramatic. I suppose if I told someone "just walk away" I'm wishing death upon them because people slip and fall to their death every day while walking
@@70baja The cammer himself is hoping others would crash, which yes, is wishing potential death upon others. But dramatic in the way the OP used 'potential death,' nope.
Dramatic would be turning your quote ("just walk away") into a quote from Mad Max 2 : Road Warrior. Oh wait, we can.
*Lord Humungous:* "_Just walk away,_ and I spare you lives."
That laugh of the trucker when the karma cop came was funny af 🤣
Everyone can drive, vote, and reproduce. At least a few of those need to be more regulated.
Unfortunately there is an abundance of people that are utterly irresponsible at all three yet they are still allowed to do so.
I'm just glad truckers have cameras.
You guys have one of the toughest jobs around.
People forget that it's because of you that stores have what we need
I don't know how many states allow lane splitting. But there's a reason why it's allowed in California, it's a darling thing they want to get rid of the stupid. It is barely safe when it is done properly. I have only seen about three occasions in my lifetime where people are lane-splitting properly. Most of them in California do it much too fast.
I researched it and it's a bit vague. The law suggests you do it at slow speeds which makes sense. At high speeds it becomes Russian roulette.
Legal or not, safe or not, it's simply not lane splitting when you're not even splitting lanes in the first place. Scary this trucker is on the road unaware of basic things like the need for a passenger side mirror to check his blind spot or that highway shoulders aren't lanes for any motorized vehicles.
I’m surprised that one guy uploaded the video of him complaining about the oversized load truck making a wide turn lol. You’d think if anyone would not be mad at that it’s a truck driver. People are too funny sometimes.
6:50 how is that karma?
doesn't seem like they're going that fast either
Gotta say I am impressed on how good rig breaks are now.
*brakes
Yeah, they don't even have to stop for coffee.
2:02 Oh you poor poor baby. Far too many of your peers do this to each other and all other drivers with the cavalier attitude that we have brakes and should stop for THEM. So, in short, absolutely no sympathy for your hurt feelings. If you really want it though, sympathy can be found in the dictionary between sh!t and syphilis.
"If I get out on you, I'm gonna F you up"! Um, your already out... and walking away, there tough guy!
1:15 I don’t think the Mazda was actually brake checking, it was the automatic emergency braking whenever it thinks the car’s going to crash. I drive a Mazda cx-9 and this has happened to me where there is a tiny space to change lanes but the car thinks ur gonna crash so it slams the brakes for u.
I sometimes drive a Subaru Forrester and it has the same type of system. I'm not sure that I like it. I think I've accidentally brake-checked people with it, too.
all the automatic gadgetry designed to stop car accidents are more dangerous than the drivers themselves. I turned all the features off in my work truck. Stupid alarms going off when you are 100 ft away from someone startle you enough to cause accidents. Some automatic braking system that has no idea of the nuance of why you are doing something is terrifyingly dangerous. Give it 50 years and you will not be allowed to control your own vehicle because 'not safe to trust human judgement'
My car has that too. Thankfully I can disable it with a push of a button and I always do.
1:04 The truck driver is an asshole for staying in the left lane, they should have seen that they could not make it and slow to go behind, instead they felt entitled to the passing lane and held their lane. The black vehicle is criminally responsible for this attempted murder though.
Today on overly dramatic Truckers.
lol
Thank you guys for all that you do, and deal with. Remember, nothing can ruin your day like people.
I just love it when I get the notification that says "Someone has liked your comment" or "Someone has subscribed!" It really makes my day😀.!
How do you get notified someone's liked a comment?
When I watch these videos and I see the same driver with a bunch of clips, I start to think he’s probably the problem.
I've gotten to the point where it has become very clear to me why so many truckers are leaving their careers and why so many other potential truckers decide to go in another direction.
5:05 that is the BEST case of double karma ever! The driver of the SUV/crossover rams a biker illegally using the shoulder to bypass traffic while the driver was illegally passing 2 lanes to exit the freeway.
Absolute perfection!
I been driving a big truck 22 years…..TOOT TOOT! Camera and convex drivers best friend😎
Truckers complaining about truckers hogging the road and feeling superior is ironic as a passenger car driver.
in all the time i did heavy and super-heavy tow trucking i never got cut off or brake checked. i lived a good life, or maybe folks knew suicide when they saw it. i didn't have to deal with jb hunt or swift either.
Love watching these compilations, they are great for killing time 😂😂
Hey, finally a clip on a road i am very familiar with. My life is complete.
i love it!! ' what are ya gnna do to me!?...huh? what? ' dude walks off... typical mouth
0:56 BradM: Have a look at the GPS speed readout at the bottom of the screen. The truck sped up not slowed down after the black car went past. This clip is framed as a truck having to avoid the car cutting it off. Do you speed up when someone cuts you off? Doesn’t seem like a sensible way to drive a truck, unless your aim is to kill people.
64mph up to 71mph and then back down to 64 again when you were next to the car. Sure seems like BradM was blocking them on purpose to me. Dont play games like this on the road, especially if you are in a truck.
Nice catch, I didn't notice the GPS showing the speed here, though even without that you could kind of tell the truck was purposely keeping him blocked in. The car should have just slowed down and moved in behind him, rather than try to play chicken with 80,000 pounds.
@@willdrivesu7914 I didnt see the way the car passed the truck at the start impeding the truck at all. Both the car and the truck stayed in lane. The cam truck should have already been slowing for the slower truck infront anyway? To me this was far more about the cam truck driver not liking being overtaken by the car than anything about safe driving.
I have a CDL BUT I never drove big rigs. Just a 4500 with a 22 ft gooseneck hauling mini excavators and the like. I feel that every driver should be put through the testing we went through just to be able to drive those rigs.
I enjoy watching the videos. Us Trucker’s have to deal with idiots on the road everyday…
You see most of this crap every day all day. But the lumber in the road causing hard braking is the number one reason you don't tailgate. You never know what's just over the hill or around the curve.
6:30 wholesome
7:50 - that whole interaction is what 90% of truckers are like.
