I can't remember 100% what I was had them set up with in this video, but the key skills for pals to have as a prowler imo are the Cheer Horn (fills gauge a bit), Go Fight Win (shaves off a point cost for abilities) and Palico Rally (Charisma bias only, ATK + DEF up). Other skills are for comfort or as you need em (Health Horn, Dung Bomb, Sonic Horn if there's a lot of small annoying enemies present, etc). I think I was working on a pal with the Attack/Def/Cheer horns but hadn't had them leveled up by the time of this vid, haha. Passive wise I just tend to go for a lot of the low grade status ailment prevention skills, plus something to boost support use!
OH also a bonus note that Negate Confusion is a good passive to have for a support pal! Even if you're not fighting Malfestio, it's good for keeping them from panicking during a hunt.
In exchange for one of your revives, it immediately fills three pips of your ability meter so you can use certain skills/buffs right away instead of having to gradually build up to it. It's a common time saving strat for Prowlers, so you'll see it around regularly.
Ah heck, here's where I realize I didn't record the status screen anywhere in this video, lmao. Generally though, when I use this cat I equip some combination of: Earplugs, Critical Up S + L, Weakness Exploit, and Beast Mode Extend. The latter two are DLC skills that, unfortunately, do not appear to have been released for MHGU. :\ Abilities wise, aside from the default Beast two: Furbidden Acorn, Mega Boomerang, Soothing Roll, Go Fight Win, and Felyne Comet.
Extend Fury is in the english release, you simply need to do special training for it. I would waste a codex on it and then simply teach it to other palicos
Nah, that's a new (to MHGU/MHXX) but different skill entirely. Fury Extend prolongs the angry state cats enter for an additional 30 seconds--which is fun to mess with. Beast Extend (ビースト延長の術) was DLC released for MHXX, and prolongs how long you persist in Beast Mode for 40 more seconds.
