I fail to see the issue... If you're physically fit and able you play if not you don't.. these clubs have massive budgets and therefore should hire more personnel to play the games... You can save the best for tournaments you want to win Champs League and league title and the other cup competitions you employ the secondary personnel ... Simple as that... Only gripe can be the useless international friendlies....
Ain't like these guys are minimum wage workers so not much sympathy from me.. money to be made.

Have you ever considered match fitness is not black and white and a spectrum? and when you are perpetually tired your risk of injury exponentially increases. obviously you have never done anything at the intensity these players do and their is physiological ceiling to their performance output has nothing to do with money.
these players aren’t you or the lazy chap at the pub, they are already the 99th percentile of athletic performers. but everyone has a biological limit. don’t be so clueless

Now what you are confusing is the standard of the players vs the quality of the play, so let me explain for you, I know that sometimes understanding simple concepts can be hard, but don’t worry, I’m here to help. El Classico is a great example of a high standard of play. The overall standard of the players is higher than say, those playing in the championship. However, their quality is something which fluctuates depending on things like form, tactics and crucially, fitness. If players are tired, the quality goes down. In fact if anyone is tired, their quality of output goes down. If a builder has to work to their absolute physical limit on Monday, it’s highly unlikely that the quality of their work, the effectiveness of their work and the efficiency of their work would be as high on Tuesday as it would be if they were feeling physically refreshed and energised because they’d had Monday off. They are also far more likely to suffer from injuries which mean that they will have to miss days and delay the completion of the project.
Same for players, if you force them to repeatedly reach their physical limits without adequate time to recover, the quality of their output will suffer, leading to inferior matches and more injuries. It’s not particularly complicated.
