Awesome company! We hired a leak detection company over here in Jacksonville, Florida to fix a similar leak in an upstairs bedroom that caused mold growth in the wall. They told us they thought the water was coming from condensation from the AC unit even though the vents had no moisture. They just did a lousy job and didn't open the wall. They instead used a FLIR and told us that it would show flowing water in the wall but it didn't seem to pick up anything. They should have opened the wall but didn't want to go through the trouble. It's hard to find quality home repair companies out here.

Jax here. A contractor installed windows for $13,000, not bad price for Simonton windows, but the install was not good. ~10 years later a 2nd floor window leaked due to that install and had to remove the whole mid-back of the house because of frame rot and mold! That was $23,000 and as of last night's storm, still has a leak. Wish we had a Mike Holmes certified contract here because even the best Google rated contractors are terribly run and they use subs which you have no control over!
Wish I knew watch many TH-cam on how to correctly install...Tyvek wrap around all wood etc. Could have supervised that original and new repair easily.

Thank you for such an informative video. This is definitely going to help as we have a hurricane expected to come in less than 36 hours. And I completely forgot that there was a crack in a wall that let water in last time. So I’m hoping one of these quick fixes will protect us from this storm, but eventually, we will permanently correct the problem, thanks again

Lousy sealant job above patio door by prior contactor . Same thing occurred at my daughter's house . Folks gotta take that little extra step to do the job CORRECTLY ! that's why I like working for twin home experts. We take the time to follow the correct measures to make things right and avoid callbacks !

It is Not the extra time that is the problem. It is the workers not being from the USA and cannot read the instructions, or know this type of construction. Where they come from, they build out of mud and clay mostly. They don't use sealants on anything, except directly to glass. That is why so many of these houses in this area are falling apart.

Great video! Who would I contact to have someone do something like this in my area? I have dampness at the bottom of my drywall behind a baseboard next to my patio door right onto my deck. I have Vinyl siding. Any help is appreciated I’ve had 2 roofers out and a home inspector out and nobody can find the issue.

The best way is to use a moisture meter to find out if the moisture in your wall increases when it rains. Then remove the drywall and go from there. Use a hose and a moisture meter to try and figure it out. Good luck

Could a cavity wall with missing cavity trays cause this amount of leak from brick water penetration?

Good video. I understand that your company is based on the West Coast. Do you have any contact with anyone that can assist me in South Carolina (Conway)?

Good morning Glenn! We don’t have a resource for you in your area. We do have a link for you to schedule a phone consultation where we can guide you, along with some photos. FaceTime might be a viable option too.
