I once got butt length poetic justice box braids and here is why Ill never get them that length again and why I am sticking to crochet braids. 1): they were too heavy, my neck was constantly sore from holding my head up 2) it took 9 hours to complete and I ran out of hair we had to go to the nearest beauty supply store for one more pack 3) at work I was required to keep my hair out of my face and it was near impossible to painlessly pull my hair back/ put in a pony tail cause it was so thick 4) a crow attacked my head and tried to yank out a braid for who knows why, maybe ideal home building material? so yeah never again. I would get some faux dreads though definitely

Holy crap! I figured this style would take a while, but I never would have thought 8-12 hours! I'm a white girl and I'm obsessed with black women's amazing hair. Her hair was beautiful before and after!

It's gorgeous, but the weight will definitely take a toll on the roots.

Crochet braids are very very light, you can barely feel them

The longest I've spent in the shop was 16 hours getting my hair braided I got there at 6 in the morning and didn't leave until 10 that night I had 50 in braid's that was SMALL and I had 3 people on my head at one time😂😂😂 I couldn't sleep for a damn week after that they we're so heavy but after they loosened up you couldn't tell me shit
