U won't know how to act with those wings. I plowed for 12 year's without them. And now with them they save so much time. You'll like them . Thanks for the videos 👍
Nice addition to the plow setup! 23 years at the fire station, wish we had the back drag blade, probably would have save a lot of time. Merry a Christmas to you and Mrs. Vickie...
I put the wings on also but snapped the rubber pads in half so I put a quarter inch steel plate behind the replacement pads and left about an inch of rubber below the plate and have had great success.
I opted to weld the mounting brackets to the side ribs similar to yours. The mould board steel isn't very thick and I was able to adjust the lean angle of the wings by moving the brackets in and out. I set them at near vertical to improve the fit of the rubber blocks.
Fine job! Can't wait to see it in action! Wishing you and Vicki a VERY Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous New Year! God bless you and yours, Brother!
Wow very nice setup, I’m excited to see how that works out. I thought you and Vicki went to Florida or something. Happy holidays to the both of you . When you work with all that equipment it’s a never ending battle to keep up with the maintenance.
I was never a fan of the pro wings, but hopefully you are gentler on them then my guys were lol. Never thought I would watch a video of someone drilling holes in a snowplow, yet here I am.
Drew I am sure it was operator error. Ironically I had bought 2 sets and never installed the 2nd set. So hard to know how a different operator would have treated them. We soon changed to v plows then expanding plows.
I have a pair of wings on my 7'6 ultra mount, there are the cats meow, almost 9' of clearing now when slightly angled, it saves my trucks paint from scratches when plowing near shrubs / tree's, corals the snow really well and saves time. One word of caution, be very careful with that poly mold board, even while plowing a gravel lot, check the plow from time to time and make sure its not stressing the poly (it will discolor to white)
I run wings on my steel western but we installed them on my brothers poly plow it's a boss plow we did added some metal behind them but they work great even tho they say not too put them on the poly plow you'll love them
They gave you the wrong bolts , it amazing that the couldn’t tell by looking at them they were wrong ...find a better dealer . Nice weather there Mark ..Happy New Year .
I bought a piece of steel and drilled my own holes dead center. cause it will save you money compared to the Western plow cutting edge. cause once the edge gets wore down, i can just flip it over and keep going on the same piece. Cant do that on the western edge.
The knockoff wings, the rubber is way cheaper and the linchpins are cheesy. I picked a set of marketplace for 40 bux. Now they have the buyers rubber and it was way harder to drill 5 holes in each one and made a plate for the front to squeeze it

Plow looks great Mark! Look forward to seeing you clean some snow and see how the new cutting edge/back drag edge does!

Getting educated on installing the Buyers Wings. Great video Mark!

I think you did a damn good job Mark! I love your ingenuity how you can make things work. Merry Christmas to you and Vicki!!
Nice job again! Looking forward to see how they work. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Great video buddy lol. I think you're gonna be happy with those wings and certainly that back edge. Merry Christmas to you and Vikki!
I think I will like them too. Merry Christmas to you and your family Randy.
You will love the wings! HUGE time saving. Hate trails. Seems I brought the issue up a while back.
A lot of people brought the issue up about the wings. Just waited until I needed to replace the cutting edge.
You can put tall markers on the wings, so one for the main plow and another for the wing
Couple days hell! I've been waiting for a new video for a week or so.... haha
Great video Mark as always!
Merry Christmas and a very happy new year to you and Vicki....
I bet that back drag edge is going to work really well for you Mark.
It's going to be like a whole new plow 🎄☃️❄
Not much snow for us yet here
Looks like we are not going to get much snow for at least another week.

Did they not hold up well or were there other issues?

They were pretzels after 1 season.
Could have been operators.
I also like how on this install Mark installed them with more forward angle
Dino had to be operators hitting curbs... we have 4 trucks with them on for over 5 seasons and they still work/look good
Drew

We soon changed to v plows then expanding plows.
We have 5 trucks with the western wideouts they're definitely the most efficient
I think you will find plowing with wings is great. I have easily cut my plow time by 1/3, which allows for more accounts. good job and merry xmas.

I just put the wings on love them my next one is the back drag edge. How do you like that
Enjoy your videos! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Merry Christmas to you and the family 🎅
Merry Christmas to you and Vickie
Merry Christmas Debbie
Merry Christmas to the both of you!
Merry Christmas to you.

Looks great im really thinking about adding wings to mine, anything to look out for or a specific wing to buy?
You make it look o easy any way I just my plow this year I get wings when I get use to the plow I vote the plow and it hasn't snow since Thanksgiving
Do you have a link for where you bought the wings
Man, you do a great job on maintenance.
Thanks Johnny.
nice!! Are you going to be able to still fit in that very narrow driveway that you plow with the wings on?
I don't have that real narrow driveway anymore, but the wings can be taken off in about 30 seconds with just 3 pins.
How did the wings work out ? Anything u would do differently ??
I would do it the same way. Worked out better than I thought they would
How much was the wing kit? Have the same plow
Wings make plowing great again much more efficient
Bout time!!! Lol hope it works out good buddy
Mark I'm really curious maybe you could ask some friends too have you thought of or seen anyone use a steel cutting edge on the wings
I bought a piece of steel and drilled my own holes dead center. cause it will save you money compared to the Western plow cutting edge. cause once the edge gets wore down, i can just flip it over and keep going on the same piece. Cant do that on the western edge.
And the piece of thick steel only cost me about 100.00 that can be used twice
Why do they tell you not to install them on a poly plow?
They say not to because of the flex from the poly. But if your not hitting curbs and other debris there is not a problem.
The knockoff wings, the rubber is way cheaper and the linchpins are cheesy. I picked a set of marketplace for 40 bux. Now they have the buyers rubber and it was way harder to drill 5 holes in each one and made a plate for the front to squeeze it
man looks nice can u do that to mine ;)
