BTW: We need to give a special shout out and deferential recognition to Vincenzo Mancuso, Matteo's father and mentor who guided his development every step of the way, teaching him, influencing him by surrounding Matteo with great music and musicians which is reflected in Matteo's tastes. Vincenzo should also be recognized for his profound influence of setting Matteo on the straight and narrow, which is why Matteo is so grounded and humble, rather than a raving egomaniac like many, if not most virtuosos who attain his undeniable level of world class greatness.. It takes a great man to guide his student to become an even greater man by providing an honorable path to a noble legacy. Thank you Vincenzo.
The feel and technique perfectly blended together!! How he can run a spotless shred and tapping section and end-up with a high bend reminiscent of Govan!
Matteo lives up to the hype, in fact he is one of the few for whom the hype is real. Singing Matteo's praise to the heavens is simply honorfing the man who effortlessly soars in beauty.
Every now and then someone comes along who opens up new paths, inexorably making the ones that were there grow older. Matteo plays 3 billion notes per second, all perfectly audible, distinct, clean. Terrifying.
I searched the schedule on NAMM site and he was nowhere to be listed at all. I wish I could have seen him in person especially close up in this venue. Very inspiring.
He was listed twice a day each day of NAMM. You probably needed to look under exhibibitor events and then his name. He was most often a Bacci booth or else at the Yamaha showroom on the third floor.

No disrespect to Guthrie, but I like the sound of Matteo's finger vibrato better. It's more relaxed than Guthrie somehow.

Beautiful tribute to Jeff Beck
As well as the songwriter, Stevie Wonder
