I have a 2018 Forester after 2016 and 2014 Outbacks. I regret getting a Forester and will go back to the Outback. Seats are unbearable after 2 hours of driving, twitchy in wind, heated seats that provide heat for 1 minute and then are off for 10 minutes, useless for a northern climate, smaller fuel tank. The only plus are the larger side mirrors. If you have the choice, pick the Outback.
I have had '13 & now '16 OB Premium. I thought my '13 wandered. '16 is better but not laser straight. My biggest annoyance is seat comfort. The ergonomics are odd. Gonna pay more attention to seat comfort on my next vehicle.
In my opinion outback is better
Glad we bought a used '18 Outback.
For interior features, you are inside a vehicle and talking about the other 🤔 should've been done side by side or one by one
We own a 19 Outback (my wife’s car) and a 19 Forester Touring (my car).
We LOVE our Subie’s and when they wear out we’ll replace them with new Subie’s.

I had a 2014 Forester 2.0XT Touring. The AC was worthless out here in AZ during the summer. I have never had a vehicle with such a pathetic AC system, almost like they didn't bother to test it above 100 degrees. I'm considering an Outback, but I don't want to deal with that nightmare again...

Yet, you don't tell us the horsepower of the 2.0 Turbo in the Forester. Come on bro.
Outback has 2700 lb towing, Forester is 1500 lb. Deal breaker for me. Factory Hitch is like $500, if added at dealership I was told almost $1000. I have a Waverunner and don't want to strain the vehicle.

Winter driving is equal - they have the same AWD system and ground clearance.
How can a taller vehicle be more sporting, and then you continue by saying the taller vehicle is more truck-like! You do not make any sense. And, since when does just having a turbo make a vehicle sporty - trucks and buses have turbos, are they sporty? The presenter has fallen for the marketing hype and has forgotten to use his brain. He has lost all credibility.

I got the 2018 turbo. To get better MPG, I modify my driving. The last tank I got 20 MPG, the best I have gotten. In 9 months, I have less than 2000 miles. I rarely use the paddles, but I will use the S# mode. On one 30 mile trip in the country, I got 26 MPG with S# and 32 with I drive. In winter my traction warning comes on a lot because of how I drive. 50 years driving experience in WI, so I know what I'm doing.
I had a 2010 Forester and recently picked up a used 2018 Forester 2.5 Touring. I think the Outback costs a lot more than the $1500 cited in the video esp in the used market. That being said, I’m pretty satisfied with the Forester.
Our experience with the Forester/Subaru: the dealer lied to us for more than a year about a known problem Subaru was sued over. They lied until it was outside the coverage in the settlement...THEN told us Subaru would "Step up" and pay for the repair if the product failed a consumption test...so we paid MORE for this test, and Subaru screwed us. Stay clear of this place, and any Suburu dealers.

I like the Forster better over all than the Outback but the interior of the Outback is better looking.
The Outback passed all Insurance Industry Crash tests. it's a premier, not touring....
The forester is the Touring XT, and the Outback is the 3.6L Touring- none are a premium, premium would be cloth
I've had both. All later models as I can afford newer vehicles. I think Subaru sort of competes with itself but I can tell you this- the Forester has much better approachangles. As well as skid plates. Outback would be my choice for 99% of my drive butbecause I live in a horrible climate I choose the Forester.

It would be perfect with panorama and SI screen on Outback... of course NOOOOO CVT.. specially 3.6R.. all the torque slipped away...
