Im trying to understand.. Was a normal baby.. good weight at 36+2 weeks. Will be ok.. îs normal all for midwive..and Also lots of worries în that day.. I was în the hospital not home and no change for my baby girl. I had this. The most scariest time of my life. I was 27 weeks pregnant, luckily I had steroids 2 days before as baby was severe IUGR and having fetal decelerations on CTG which resolved, I was discharged and 2 days later I went to have a bath, i remember walking up the stairs to get in the bath, my head went so lightheaded but I thought it was normal pregnancy dizziness, after having a bath I went back downstairs, I had the worst pain I ever felt in my lower left groin and abdominal area, I couldn’t walk properly, I thought it was a braxton hick because my belly went rock hard, I remember holding on to my kitchen table as I felt like I was going to pass out, I felt a massive warm Gush and thought my waters broke, i looked down and I was just gushing blood everywhere, Partner called ambulance, they arrived and by that point I was estimated to have lost over a litre of blood already, my blood pressure was 45/25 and the paramedics put massive cannula in my hands and was pumping fluids into my veins, at that point I was very unwell, I was loosing clots larger than the palm of my hands, I remember getting to hospital and the paramedics opening the ambulance doors and loads of doctors and midwifes there waiting and they rushed me to theatre, baby barely had a heart rate at this point, the room was just swarmed with loads of people I didn’t know and I was being stabbed with different things, they cut the baby out within 8 minutes of getting out of the ambulance, i had complete abruption, I continued to bleed and lost nearly 3ltre of blood, I was in high dependency for a while and then got severe preeclampsia:(baby weighed 1lb 4oz and was in very poor condition but the neonatal consultant got her breathing and intubated her, she spend 3 months in nicu, shes 5 months old now and weighs 8lb 9oz, she’s still NG tube fed and has ROP but apart from that she’s thriving. I am so thankful to all midwifes, porters, doctors, HCA, nicu staff and everyone else. It was the scariest time of my life

I had no bleeding from vagina, it was all in my uterus. I lost 1500 ml blood also because of this so its important i think to highlight that not everyone will see bleeding. I did have every other symptom plus baby was mot moving at all even on scan by consultant.

In March 2018 I had a placenta abruption at 26wks and 3 days & I had a stillbirth I don't smoke or drink alcohol. I asked Doctor to test me for everything & was told they did & that it was just one of those times they didn't have answered well I got pregnant again & ended up getting a superficial blood clot in my left leg had my baby 9wks early in March 2019. Didn't find out until a month later when I had both a deep vein blood clot & superficial blood clot in my left leg that I have a blood clot disorder when a Hematologist tested me. So my suggestion to you is have them test you for every type of blood clot disorder because they do not screen for blood clot disorders. I know someone else who had the same thing happen to them the month before me & they ended up having a blood clot disorder as well. You are in my prayers.

And lastly call the doctor/go to the hospital AS SOON as something doesnt feel "normal" or right. Do not take no for an answer. Just go. Advocate for her and stay on the same page at all times. She will be fine. I cant wait to hear about your miracle baby update!

Yes, I have factor five leiden and had a placental abruption in my first pregnancy at 35 weeks. I was under consultant care for a blood clotting disorder. My consultant said if you have blood clotting disorder it most definitely contributes to a placental abruption. You have to be on blood thinners during your pregnancy and make sure it’s the right dosage!

I had my first ultrasound (abdominal) at 5 weeks we couldn’t see our baby but the OB saw a little placental abruption and just told me to rest as much as possible. Recently we went back to our second appointment at week 9, we where able to see our baby, heart rate 160, baby moving but the placental abruption still was visible, she told is that it was a 2 centimeter tear, haven’t had any bleeding, I don’t smoke or use any drugs, im 33... again she suggested to keep resting as much as possible. Should I seek for another clinic/doctor?

Go to your doctor and ask to be referred to a thrombosis and haematology specialist and ask to get your blood checked to see if you have a blood clotting disorder. Best of luck 🤞 I went on a Journey with it. I had a placental abruption at 35 weeks and no one knew why. I had to do my own research and was referred to an amazing haematology team I now have 3 beautiful children. It will happen for you! God bless 🙏

You need to mention outright the possibility of maternal or fetal death. The focus needs to be to get to L&D as soon as possible.

I’m so sorry to hear this, you will probably need blood thinners, (heparin). And or baby aspirin but please consult your doctor

@@mubeenshaik9399 It’s down to your doctor but I had to inject heparin twice a day but it depends on your specific health reasons. Go to your doctor and ask to be referred to a thrombosis and haematology specialist and ask to get your blood checked to see if you have a blood clotting disorder. Best of luck 🤞
I went on a Journey with it. I had a placental abruption at 35 weeks and no one knew why. I had to do my own research and was referred to an amazing haematology team I now have 3 beautiful children. It will happen for you! God bless 🙏

@@mekdeseshetu7576 yea sadly she lost the baby at 18 weeks I guess since she developed placenta abruption quite early she kept over bleeding .. its sad how she's about 1 percent of women to get it

Hi doc. I am 13 weeks pregnant. Yesterday evening i started bleeding with no pain in back or uterus. We visited doctor and saw our baby. He is perfectly fine and was playing at that time. Doctor said that its partial abruption. She has asked me for complete bed rest and to wait. What are the chances of baby doctor. Its my first pregnancy, i dont wanna lose him.
