I literally just went through this yesterday. I’ll be 39 weeks on Friday and I have been 1cm dilated for the past two weeks. My doctor asked if I wanted her to “help me out” and I said sure. She then took her fingers and proceeded to strip my membranes which was very uncomfortable and hurt like hell. And took me from 1cm to 2cm. She explained what she had done after the fact. I do not remember having this procedure done with my first pregnancy and had so many questions. I had this done twice and IT HURTS!!
I'll be 40 weeks and 5 days and getting my membranes swept tomorrow. I've been 3 cm dilated for over 2 weeks now thought I'd be going into labor any day but nope.. Getting nervous.
How did you get on? I'm 40+6 now and desperate for sweep to work tomorrow. 🤞
Hahah the gush 🤣🤣
I do respect science studies do professional.but sweeping membranes is brutal to me.and had me traumatic experience
😁😁 that gush
My doc wants to do it at 39 for no reason. I'm holding off.
