- Based in Dorset in the UK, Monkey World is the largest monkey and ape rescue centre on the planet. For nearly three decades, the team has saved countless primates - across 20 countries - from lives of cruelty, abuse, and neglect.
This safe haven is now home to more than 200 monkeys and apes. The dedicated staff never stop in their quest to save animals from being mistreated by owners, ending up in laboratories or being exploited in the entertainment industry.

The lengths that Allison, & Monkey World go to for the care and rehabilitation of abandoned, unwanted, trafficked animals is Amazing!!!❤ (Jim would be so Proud of the work they're doing!) I know how much paperwork there is just to bring my daughter's service dog on an airplane, and that is within the U.S., I can't imagine what they go through to transport undomesticated animals, let alone endangered species internationally 🤦🤦🤦! Amazing!!!❤❤❤

I worked for an AKC registered Maltese breeder, and taking care of puppies was similar to issues.
Chloe is a Saki Monkey who lives in the Squirrel Monkey enclosure, but she herself is NOT a Squirrel Monkey.
Seriously! Poor Chloe. Of all the indignities... being inaccurately labeled, a lowly squirrel monkey, a completely different species. I hope they fix the title at some point. I left a post pointing out the erroneous title as well, prior to seeing your post. Chloe's had it tough, and deserves a little more respect!

When I got my beagle years ago as a wee one, he had coccidia and giardia, that makes extremely sick. Poor baby, I feel so sorry for him.
Could you imagine if the staff come into a note from the Capuchin outside enclosure says please do not put food on the net it is not a stable place to eat we don't like it...😂😂😂😂👍

Where could the parasite possibly have come from? He's been so protected since birth. Was he born with it? Possibly from his mum? I don't understand.

Watching the wooly monkey losing weight it makes me wonder if cannabis is ever used as an appetite stimulant for monkeys and apes. Seems like it would be a no brainer. Even burning a cone shaped piece of hashish in his room like incense would probably work wonders

Don’t you get that from drinking water straight out of a river or creek? I might have it mixed up with something else?
@@jandedick7519 It can be transmitted through contaminated food and water but usually it's from feces. An animal may sniff feces then lick it's lips, eat feces, or lick their bottom after using the bathroom. It can also be in the soil and picked up. My guess is this little guy got it from his mom who can have it and not show any symptoms. Even though she abandoned him it was obvious that she did clean him. Since monkeys lick themselves and lick their hands when cleaning themselves after giving birth she might have passed it to him when she handled and cleaned him. Maybe he even got it as he was being born? Not sure about that.

Crabapples taste horrible. They are bitter no matter how ripe they are. They are used mainly for coloring apple jelly. My mother-in-law has a huge tree in her front yard. It is one of the most beautiful sights in spring.

The title is inaccurate. Chloe isn't a Squirrel Monkey, she's a Saki Monkey getting used to living with the Squirrel Monkeys, adjusting to the fact that Jethro, the Saki Monkey she had been living with, had recently passed. Come on now, BW... I know you've been posting episodes fast and furious lately, but that's not an excuse for creating overtly fallacious video titles that don't describe, in any way, the contents of the videos.
