    Being homebound for years due to an illness with no cure, & (a bit lonesome), I get such *tremendous enjoyment* every day watching Monkey World & seeing how obviously the caretakers love & respect their charges...Besides all the animals, they warm my heart almost beyond simple explanation...Many, many videos I've revisited over time & have watched some of my favorites countless times...I always love reading the comments left by such kind & caring individuals...I can't fathom living in a World without animals to love & be loved by... *: )*

      I have Wegeners and hidradenitis. Both keep me down, but the monkeys make me happy ❤🙏🏻🙊🙉🙈🤗

    When I saw the Guenon mum nursing little Biff while she was lying on her side being groomed by her man, it reminded me of nursing my (now 43 year old) son in the night when he was a baby. He was 8lb8oz @ birth, and 18lbs 8 oz at four and a half months. lol ... I was producing high test! It's nice to know that my instinct to nurse my baby that way is matched by the Guenon mum's similar instinct, really proving we're closely related! I feel such a kinship with all the apes and monkeys, and just love Monkey World. It's on my bucket list, and I live on Vancouver Island, on Canada's west coast, so it'll take some doing to get to Dorset! lol

    Oh, Maureen has passed away, how sad 😥and Jonathan. If I recall, Maureen was intricate in welcoming Freddie when he and Toto arrived. Rest well and whole sweet girl and rest well and whole Jonathan, no stinking laboratories where you are both at now.

    As sad as it is to see these stumpies decline in number, it's also a sign no more from labs have come in to live out their lives at Monkey World. I'm just happy Monkey World gives them the best life after laboratories....they deserve the very best!❤🐵❤🦍❤

    I find it amazing how nobody ever makes a face when getting a whiff of a bad infection a monkey or ape may have. Me? I'd be holding a barf bag!🤢 Guess they get used to it, not sure I ever would!😂

    I love these shows so much and look forward to them every single day. It's the fastest 25 minutes of my day. Would love to have some longer episodes but I am not complaining. Very happy we get these. Thank you Monkey World and all the care givers, Allison and Jeremy all those associated with this place and the videos yall produce. They always put me in a good mood no matter how bad I'm feeling before I watch them. You all are greatly appreciated. Btw, how is Jeremy? Haven't seen much of him since Sally's passing and he is one of my favorites. Please make sure to send love and prayers to him from us viewers. I know losing any primate from the park is like losing a family member and Salley was especially close with him. I hope he is OK. Much love from KY, USA.

    Biff? You gave a little girl the name Biff? If the next one is a boy, will you name it Sue?
    I guess it’s ok in this case… but only because Biff was born Naked.

    DONT HAVE A PET ORANGUTAN AS HE PLAYS WITH A PET ORANGUTAN. UN REAL THE HYPOCRISY! I love primates, but I hate people that tell bald faced lies.

    James is such a unique keeper, and then he destroyes what he has to say by so many openmouthed "aaaaaahm" in every sentence. And by calling them "orangyutang".
    No.they are Orang Utan. "Orang" meaning "people" in Indonesian, "utan" meaning "forest. They are "people of the forest"

      I dont mind the pronunciations but the aummms drive me nuts. Very annoying....and then I noticed Allison started doing it as well. Yikes!

      Ever heard if you have nothing good to say about someone, don't say anything at all? Good words to live by. I'm sure we all wish we were perfect, too, then you'd have nothing to comment about. Smh. Damn.

    • @mchevre
      @mchevre ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Dude it's a really common pronunciation in UK dialects of English to throw that extra "g" on the end. It's incorrect, but it's common so let's not act like its just James being weird. Also randomly throwing in "umm" while speaking is so ubiquitous among English speakers of all types that if you allow yourself to be bothered by it or even notice it for that matter, listening to people speak in general must be pretty difficult and annoying for you. I think it shows that Monkey World is genuine, rather than highly curated and scripted like many shows. James sounds like he's speaking from the heart and off the top of his head, which you should appreciate, not complain about.

    Is there anywhere I can find which species they have? They say they have 22 species, I would just like to know which species they have. I am always so sad after I watch the last episode because I have to wait until tomorrow to get another one. I think what I'm going to start doing is I'm going to start back at season 1 and go all the way through that way I can still watch after watching the newest one. I just love this show and it feels good to watch.

    • @mchevre
      @mchevre ปีที่แล้ว

      They have a website. There's no concentrated list (it's broken up and hard to count) but from what I see on the site they have chimpanzees, orangutans, golden cheeked gibbons, siamang gibbons, mueller's gibbons, lar gibbons, agile gibbons, capuchin monkeys, common marmosets, geoffrey's marmosets, cotton-top tamarins, red-bellied guenons, woolly monkeys, spider monkeys, saki monkeys, squirrel monkeys, stump-tailed macaques, patas monkeys, an unknown marmoset species, ring-tailed lemurs, and bengal slow loris
      The orangutans are technically two species, sumatran and bornean, so if you count that, it makes 22 total.

    What a wonderful program this is! The monkeys all do so well because they are so thoughtfully cared for. I love the creative ways you all come up with to make them work a little harder for their food! Primates are so smart so making them think is another way of caring for their wellbeing. Well done!
