Saw them live this weekend. One of the best performances I have ever seen. The guitars and drums during the solos and build ups had a pink floyd quality to it. But you could dance to it, perfect for a show. Can not stress it neough, go see these guys life!
I would never have discovered this subculture of artists combining psychedelic rock with traditional Touareg music (in addition to Tamikrest also Mdou Moctar and Tinariwen) were it not for KEXP. Probably the no1 most interesting movement in popular music this channel has introduced me to.

This was so special! Very good tone control, and sensitive playstyles on all band members! What a gloriously smooth experience for the ears, reminicent (to me) to Riviera Paradise and SRV in general. Also loved the polyrhythmic parts, everything in perfect moderation. Lovely!
ok, so there is this festival in the netherlands called "vierdaagse festival" with 2 million guests and your music is 100% the same spirit there is a park called "valkhof" with 6 music stands there, (the best section of the entire festival), where only alternative music is played, and you fit in perfectly please visit us next year!
