    5 years on from you making this video I buy a Fuji camera and I cant thank you enough, Its been a steep learning curve coming from Cano but I now have a good grounding in Fuji's menu system and your videos on Godox flashes I couldnt have done without and I thought Canon and Yongnuo was a flaky combo!! Why oh why cant Chinese flash manufacturers make their great gear easier to set up and use? It took me hours to get my camera, Godox Trigger and Godox flash to talk to each other, two days later I set up my light stand, umbrella etc and nothing, turns out I had to rescan the flash and set it to another channel!! Grrrrrrr, or is it just me?!

    Thanks so much for making this video! I have been enjoying your channel while teaching myself photography and the X-T3. I recently got recruited to shoot my cousin’s Quinceañera (very special 15th birthday party) and am thinking I will need some sort of flash solution. Your video was available at just the right time and I’m so grateful to have recently found your channel. Now I’m just hoping I can find/get this flash in time. Happy holidays from a fellow Georgian!

    Found a great deal on package of three Godox TT685F flashes and the Godox Xpro-F controller for my X-T3. I now just need to learn how to use them. Appreciate a video on that if you want to take the time to make one. I may buy the Battery Pack, but got to wait until my budget can handle it. One step at a time. I foucnd a T685-F on ebay for $25 working 100% fine. Bought two PB-960s on Craigslist for $80 total. I bought the Fuji version of this flash before I had a Fuji to work with my Nikon setup. The great thing about the Godox setup is that the wireless controller does all the work and will communicate with the flash units meaning you can buy the version for the different camera systems and still get them working with one another. When I picked up a used Fuji I already had a flash waiting for it. I can buy the remote for my Fuji and still use my Nikon speedlights as well. It's great.

  • @PikPikkabbu

    I used several Godox monolights in my studio. And very happy with them. For strobist, I've rather yongnuo speedlights. Very good, cheap and much easier to drive with YN triggers than Godox system

    At this moment you now have 8400+ subscribers! You will have many more! Thank you for this post. A perfect flash for the Fuji, if you are planning to take a whole lot of flash illuminated exposures.
    But what if you are not?
    I use flash minimally, and only for fill when there is no other available light. That compact little flip up Fuji provides with the camera could be ideal, used with the appropriate settings, because it is small, pocketable, and easy to attach, when a little fill light is needed.
    Question is, what are the appropriate settings, and conditions, to best use that little, flip up, Fuji flash?

    Fuji + Godox
    For on body flash it is great on TTL, but suck on manual. Not only me but as i ask many says the same.
    When godox flash attach on top of fuji, and set to manual. While shooting it will sometime (or most of the time for some) it will suddenly change to TTL, need to set again to manual and then its accure again back to TTL.

Yesterday the Godox TT685ii was delivered to me. The reason I am writing is I can't while in TTL zip along like you do in the video. The reason seems to be the pre-flash. What, if anything, am I doing wrong? Thanks.

    👍Congrats on (now) 600 plus subs. Don’t burn out. Valid points about flash recycle time and power. The trade off, of course, is ergonomics - added weight and bulk. How many and what size batteries does the primary flash unit take?

    • @pal2tech
      @pal2tech  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Paul, the primary flash unit that sits on the camera takes 4 AA batteries. But they don't last long, which is why the battery pack is so helpful.

    Hi, man! Thank you so much for the information. But before I buy, I have a question. It seems like the cable is sold separately, they have cables for Canon/Nikon/Sony/Metz, they never say which cable goes with Fujifilm? Or, is there a universal cable for manual flash tt600? A million thanks in advance!

    Hi Chris. Many thanks for your videos. I’m a big Godox fan and use the AD600, AD200 pro, SK400 and TT350 with my Fujifilm XT2 and XT3. Thinking of adding the new V1 when available for Fuji. Question 1. With price not being a consideration would you add another AD200 or V1? Purpose would be for ultra portable location shoots outdoors using 2 lights for main and fill. Question 2. Can the battery pack be used with the AD200?

    • @pal2tech
      @pal2tech  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doug Richdale Hey Doug! No problem. I’d say the V1 for sure all things being equal. About the battery pack with the AD200, I’m honestly not sure but I believe so. I’d probably confirm with Adorama just to be sure before purchasing. Let me know what you end up doing!

      Hey Denis! Yeah, I was surprised at how fast/on-target it is considering the price. Usually I have trouble with 3rd party flash units, but Godox seems (at least for now) to have gotten their compatibility with Fujifilm X cameras on track.

Hopefully someone on there can point you in the right direction. In the meantime, I'll keep my eyes open for them and if I hear of any particularly good units, I'll update here and let you know.

    If you buy the suggested extra power supply etc, then the LiPo battery based and higher quality (?) V860II-F is cheaper (~$170 instead of ~$230 without any super discounts). Is the V860II-F comparably fast? Is it a better long deal if you got the cash on hand?

    This is really good value for $$$. I realize that Nikon and Canon branded flashes are superior in features and capabilities but , dang they cost mucho dinero and are still probably infrared wireless as well. My first Nikon speed light cost me over $300 back in 2008 and later I bought a used upgraded unit for $200 that had sold new for $600 (thanks Ebay). Heck , even their cables cost me my left tes***le ! I aim to look into one or more of these Godox units and see what they can do because you can only push ISO so far and shooting wide open isn't always useful.
