Hi all welcome back to another video Dereck Reacts back at it again! This time around we take a look at another first time reaction with Tino Casal and his song "ELOISE." The original by Barry Ryan, released in 1968; Tino comes along and covers it for his 1987 release "Lagrimas de Cocodrilo." It's 80s extravaganza but with zaney arrangements and killer vocals. I'm all in, find out why!

Tino Casal was from Asturias, the north of Spain (the place I live). One of the most important Spanish singers of all time. Writer, painter, designer and creator. He had many number ones and amazing songs like Embrujada (the video is amazing), Pánico en el Edén, Histeria, etc.
And it's said that David Bowie came to his burial.

ohh, excelente reacción, Tino Casal es uno de los grandes cantantes Españoles, tuvo mala suerte y murió joven, pero tiene unas canciones realmente increibles, escultor, pintor y cantante, era un genio.

Este señor era un total adelantado a su época en España, añadió un nivel totalmente diferente a la grabación de los discos de los grupos y cantantes españoles. Aún hoy no ha perdido para nada la frescura y podría ser una canción que algún grupo podría sacar hoy... y hablamos de un disco que, si no recuerdo mal, era de ¿1987? ¿1987? Grabado nada menos que en Abbey Road, Londres. Lo dicho, "jugaba" en otro nivel.

Deberías de ver la trayectoria de Tino hasta el día de su fatídico accidente y muerte. Era un adelantado 30 años a su tiempo como mínimo. Hace 20 años artista consagrados hacían cosas que Tino ya introdujo. Era un artista del Renacimiento. Cantante, compositor, productor, pintor, escultor, diseñador y estilista. Todo el estilismo del escenario está hecho por él. Diseño incluso para grupos Heavy como OBUS. Era perfeccionista al máximo, todo lo diseñaba al milímetro y no dejaba nada a la improvisación. Todos los que le conocieron solo tenían buenas palabras para él, tanto como persona y sobre todo como artista. David Bowie fue a su entierro. Tenía una voz increíble en directo su voz sonaba exactamente igual de bien y perfecta. Si hoy en día estuviera vivo sería un genio y sobre todo si hubiera nacido en EEUU, pero nació en España y los españoles no nos sabemos vender. D.E.P GENIO

That song was written in the sixties, 1968 I believe, by Paul Ryan. French version was made as well interpreted by Claude François in France and Donald Lautrec in Québec, Canada.
But like Tino sings this nobody does it.

El GranDIOSo TINO. The Emperor of the 80s Spanish Disco-Pop. He was a musical genius. He died too soon. He's got many other amazing tunes. And look at his entire style. PURE GLAM! He made a fantastic version of this song but check out for more of his original tunes, u'll be amazed. A unique artist and performer. And if you understand Spanish, you're gonna love a lot some of his lyrics. Just an example, LA PIEL DEL DIABLO (Listen to how he describes the orgasm/ejaculation on the first part, in such an elegant way. U must be a little bit of a poet urself to know what he's talking about...and he mentions IBIZA! He was also a total party animal hehe) Send u a hug from Spain Dereck!
