Especially, song writing. However, the direction that the R&B genre, specifically, ended up going in caused him to rethink everything and decide to hang it up indefinitely. Joe has never released 1 bad album. every project has been strong! and while i love the original version by R. Kelly, Joe did More and More better.....than R. Kelly. More and More was supposed to be on the LoveLand album, but it leaked early and that was also during the time when the allegations originally surfaced. 2001-2002 or so. Sabotaged the Best of Both Worlds project too.

I think Joe has been unwilling to sell out in some kind of way, which is why he doesn't get the same attention that some of his peers get. But he is absolutely a legend and a superstar, whether some people want to admit it, or not.

What he sings about is real love and you don’t find many artists that stand true to their sound and image. He’s always kept a clean image and you never heard anything about his personal life.
