From no english to someone sounded so local. Kudos!
Totally now machiam a bilingual Chinese Singaporean
Of course lah, stay so long already. I am Indonesian but my English is singlish accent because I grew up and stay 14 years in SG 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tbh his english sounds better than a lot of locals lol
@@SparkzMxzXZ haha I think so too
@@alvinkhoo way more bilingual than a typical chinese singaporean...his mandarin is much better.
Know Bunz since army days, really happy that he has made so much progress in the media !! 😊👍
So glad to have you as one of us, a Son of Singapore
Love your attitude, and your authenticity ❤
Actually I think linguistically speaking, I would consider his language skills, esp his Chinese, and even his English far above most of his Singapore peers. The thing about mainland Chinese is their Chinese already has a good foundation, once they are able to brush up their English and put more time into it, they will be truly and effectively bilingual.
Values are more important than language skills.

Why don't you take your own advice then?
I think his English is on par with many fellow Singaporeans his age. The older generation like myself may have lower english standards due to lesser exposure to good English during our childhood, however, this boy’s generation should already have a lot of exposure and opportunity to learn good English from his surrounding as by the 90s and 2000s, Singapore already have a sizeable population with a good command of English.
@@ditsygirl5409but we are talking about the younger generation here.. the 1990 to 2010 kids who do not place importance in Chinese language sadly
Real Singaporean!!! You are the kind of FT we need!
Envious of how bilingual he is! Glad to see him integrating so successfully into Singapore❤️
Goodness me, if he don't tell people that he was from China, no one would have thought it. He's English has literally zero China accent. Completely Singaporean-sounding. I think career-wise, being so proficient bilingually, he's gonna be very sought after internationally. Diplomatic or corporate translator come to my mind. Especially diplomatic, I feel. That'll be a huge benefit to the world.
When he speaks Chinese, he actually sound like he's from China
welcome from the deepest of majority singaporeans hearts!
Well come to Singapore 🇸🇬
Singapore definitely welcome someone like you - how you've assimilated well, speak like one, behave like one, think like one and essentially you're one of us. I hope all of our foreign friends who want to be Singaporean to learn from his attitude of adapting into SG. All the best in your endeavour.
Listening to his life story , it reminded me of my Father . Like Bunz , my dad came from China to Singapore in his late teens too . Singapore is Home. Beautiful story Bunz. I wish you all the Best. Cheers !
Life is a journey.... when you're young, try things out, that's how you learn about yourself. In the end, you always recall the experiences, not necessarily the awards or prizes. Don't grow old and regret not having done the things when you had a chance to.
Precisely because he knew no English when he came here, he picked up all his S'porean English accent locally ^^
有时间多回去看看爷爷奶奶 老人家留下的时间是不多了
珍惜这一切
Kudos to this gentleman 🙏🙇♀️
Almost similar life story, but he is definitely way better and so much better 🙌🙌
He indeed sound Singaporean
He speaks a lot better than a standard Singaporean. 👍
You are stereotyping based on a small number you have met or spoken to.
@@j.c.8493 Small number ? nope. I am Singaporean and I am sure i have spoken to enough. 🤪
@@DonYang73 Same here. I am Singaporean/local Singaporean.
@@j.c.8493 therefore you would know that its a fair judgement and not outright stereotype.
@@DonYang73 Depending on the age group, race, dialect etc. Cannot generalise and say this though…. There are many such cases where some people may not be good at speaking but are good at writing? Maybe their articulation just seems to be better. Or they had more exposure and chances to learn the language.
Glad you visiting your grandparents soon. Hope u visit them more often.
Welcome to Singapore, cute baby face and study well with English and Chinese so sounds good. Your childhood in Beijing and Shanghai and mainland china 😢😢
He never went to Beijing and Shanghai before he come to Singapore ! He living in Zheijang province, he speak Wu language not mandarin .
你已经很棒了👏
We welcome new citizens who can blend into our culture and not one who criticized and try to change us to be like them
Wow u sounds so local, well done❤🎉😊
What a Beautiful letter!!! Tks for sharing it!! ❤
For every success story, it also takes a lot effort and positive attitude of main character. Every place can offer something different to different ppl. As someone that comes from small town, Singapore gives me , a sense of convenience and accessibility that is not available in smaller town..
When I first heard him speak, I thought the title was wrong (like it was about a Singaporean going to China.... haha.
u sound singaporean. Pass liao welcome to sg
2000年来新加坡的上海人飘过。特别能理解你。当年我才十岁。我们是一个很小的群体。早已融入新加坡但心里还是会对中国特别是家人有一丝牵挂。
Proud of yr character
We need more chinese like him to replace singaporean chinese who dont wan to have kids. . Love u! Welcome and hope u can retire here
Agree. Creative, endurance, and adapted to Singapore environment well. Caring for his grandparents also.
Will he vote for the PAP ?
i like his accent. better than most locals with fake accent.... 😂😂
Maybe the singaporean you met are fake lol
articulate young man
He speak better English and chinese than me
Grammar lesson for Singaporeans 1:30 --- His grandparents took him to school. 他爷爷奶奶带他上学。 To send someone to school means to pay for his education such as you send your son to Japan to study but you don't go. 我送我儿子到日本求学。
感人的视频!

Wow bro you are awesome 👍 very local 🎉best, faithful, sincerely, grace grandson🙏
Glad he assimilated well. Rather than hide in a china enclave. Good that he’s fulfilling his dreams in sg and contributing to society here.
Sad he has no Chinese accent. Chinese accent more cute
Ur English good 👍 bruh.....
He speaks like Singaporeans
The opportunities in China far outpace here in sg ....
China has grown. Doesn't mean Singapore is not good 😑
way more competitive in china than out here..1.4b population vs 5.9m? if you're good you'll earn 1000 times the $ tho...
Those in singapore usually the CMI ones
Bruh his English sounds so Singaporean!!
he is singaporean
Welcome to the free world.😉
Another generation or two, china migrants will all be Singaporean 😅🎉🎉
Singapore is now not the same as before as compared to China.
欢迎欢迎。。
说的 singlish 也比我还要singlish😆
You sound so Singaporean😂
Of course lah.. he 24 years in SG already. Basically no difference.
Wonderful that he remembers to show gratitude to his grandparents and to Singapore. Wishing you every success in all your undertakings
Bunz is a real one, super talented and a solid dude.
Aden is a talented man himself too, please go check him out!
I had the opportunity to work with Bunz back then, and I continue to learn from and be inspired by him even today!
Wow, his verbal English is so fluent, which is extremely rare in PRC/ex-PRCs. Clearly, he was raised with good parenting, his parents paid a lot of attention to family education, unlike many PRC parents who simply sent their children overseas and never looked after them.
👍Follow your dreams and best wishes !!😁
Already sound like local Singaporean.....
Glad to know you still have your grandparents at heart. I am also a granny of five and took care of them myself when they were babies. Hope they will be like you. Good upbringing.
Great attitude and aptitude with this guy.
Wow once he speak the 1st word of English I thot he is a local Sgrean, thats perfect Singlish bro! Amazing!
Well done Bunz, keep following your dreams, keep it going !
He speaks well and I can feel every word he says and he really meant everything he says! V passionate person! 👍🏻
Well clearly he assimilated well. There are PRCs who studied overseas and the Chinese English accent stuck fast.
Kudos to this guy💪🏽
He is a part time actor in channel 8. He was seen as Hong Ling's colleague in The World Is Mine ( the award winning tv series casting Richie Koh). Didnt realise he speaks english so fluently.
Baozi 👍🏼
great series!
I remembered the first performance on the podium in Northland, 3 girls in the same year as me sang “热带雨林”by SHE. This sure brought back a lot of memories.
Very nice voice he has :D
His English is so Singaporean
Wait wow didnt know he is from china
I like his neat, simple and minimalistic house.
I’m local and yet my English kns… haizzz
You sound like one of us 👍 All the best 🙏
Lucky he didn’t go to Ecuador and go to SEA
我们看了你演的电视剧,演得很好,加油!
He is sg la the mentality is same.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
👍👍👍
bro is a loco
local or loco? u know what loco means right?
Didn’t watch the whole video, but did he serve NS? 😊😊
Hi, thanks for watching the video, even though you didn't finish it.
To answer your question, Bunz served his NS with the Singapore Police Force.
yes he did.
Bunz has totally assimilated into the local environment
Respect to him for doing so. Show where his heart is and what his intentions are. He’s as good as any Singaporean there is.
Welcome brother
Good man
He was lucky because he has this kind of good, capable, smart father. Lucky him.
