There is a fix already. The ELRS and EdgeTX devs gave out an update you can install by yourself, where no FTDI is required. In the near future there will be a passthrough flash option directly in elrs-configurator too. The only thing you have to do right now is to open up the radio and press the boot button on the elrs module in order to passthrough flas hit. However the remotes from the newer production runs will have a little wire attatched from this module to the right shoulder button so it does not even have to be opened up anymore. I admit that this is a bit late to the game by jumper but should not be that big of a deal...
They should either recall the product to cut their losses, or heavily discount the Jumper T Pro, as an incentive to keep it . Either way they have lost their reputation in terms of quality and due diligence.
Its pretty typical of Jumper though. Not surprised. And also not surprised by Radiomaster coming out on top with quality over Jumper. Anybody could have seen this coming given their reputation
Ah dang I was excited about this 1watt controller. I've been in the hobby for years but still do all I can to avoid ftdi adaptors like the plague (because of my bad experiences with them in the beginning, like you said) simple is best 👌
I'm having trouble knowing what to adjust to get the "feel" I want with my airplane. I can do ok on stabilize but when I fly no gyro sometimes I get tired around and have to hit the switch to save it. I don't like have so much expo bc I'm used to quads but when I get tossed it's easy to over correct. Could you do a vid on picking rates for different craft and beginner mistakes?
You can update the firmware using WIFI. Issues happen when the flash is interupted and fails. This IS an issue for sure since you cant easily recover from a bad flash.
This issue only affects the ELRS t-pro. I have no idea how or even if you need to update the 4in1 t-pro. I have transitioned to the ELRS stuff so not sure on anything else.
Hello everyone, the speaker of the transmitter makes unpleasant noises when the internal expresslrs module is on, when I turn it off it doesn't make any noise
Seems like not any TH-cam fpv master doing any Elrs wifi update on Jumper TPro, they just said how bad it is, but not one video on how to update properly to avoid bricking the Jumper TPro internal ELRS.
Yes for me to. The Matek receiver I am using along with it didn't work though, because it was not turning on it's WIFI lol. A FTDI is just crucial to have on hand when dealing with ELRS stuff. And It's definitely not as hard as everyone is thinking to flash something with and FTDI breakout...

Apparently the ELRS devs came up with a work around where u don't need an FTDI adapter to recover that radio anymore.

Maybe it should be pointed out, that you can use any USB to serial adapter, not only the ones with an FTDI Chip.

Connect a old flight controller to the USB port, then bind and you can use it wireless.

Yep I used a burned up betafpv with frsky like that. There some latency though. You have to put the fc in pass-through mode using a cli command.

How do we gut the wifi antenna or tranciever or whstever it is ? God mine is the jp4in1 and is still too young for upgrades electrical brainwashing

I think Bardwell said the elrs devs are working to fix this issue for jumper. But yes, we should only buy from companies that work with the elrs devs.
