For one, satellites only pass by the earth every so often so you have no control over the timing of the images. I think the worry is about facial recognition being used to identify individuals and or information gathering of infrastructure. For instance there's a hydro electric dam behind my house it supplies power to the whole town you can see it from space on satellite, but you can't see what time the workers come in and out of there and when it's left unattended, but a drone could capture that completely unintentionally and expose it to bad actors (potentially) if they have planted a root kit in the drone and it's "phoning home" with all the images. Which... It very well could be. (But if there's no proof of that... I don't think they should be able to ban it) So... Where's the proof?
