It was not my usual type of book, but I LOVED it. I recently purchased The Butcher and the Wren by Alaina Urquhart. She is one of the hosts of Morbid, a true crime podcast I listen to while I’m running. I am headed out of town for a few days next week and plan on taking it with me to read. Hi Shelby! I was stitching Jeanette Douglas’ Fall Into Autumn while I watched today - I’ve been really into the fall smalls this month. I love your knitting - I am a beginner knitter and don’t know of too many knitting channels yet but I do watch Kutovakika (she recently knit her wedding dress!! 😮) and Stacy Ellstone. Thanks to her I’m casting on a half and half triangles wrap by Purl Soho. Have a great weekend 😊
I love your completed tee! It makes me want to learn to knit! I’m currently working on Rule of Life by modern folk embroidery. I really like your book talks and although I don’t really like horror movies, I can handle horror novels (except for a certain Stephen King short story that just freaked me out lol). My absolute favorite book actually won the bram stoker award long ago, it’s called Swan Song by Robert mccammon
I haven’t read that book, I’ll add it to my list! Also- I need to know which Stephen King short story that is, because there is one for me like that too 😂😅

@Stitches By Shelby ok, so „down below“ is hands down one of my favorites this year! It had me on the edge of my seat for every single page. Hunted by the same author was also a good one, more thriller than horror though. I’m exited to read more of her books this spooky season. 👻
Working on Redwing Blackbirds sampler by Carriage House Samplings. As a 50/50 knitter/crossstitcher these days, I really enjoy the mixed content! I also loved the book recommendations. I read Cabin at the End of the World by Tremblay so I need to check out Head full of Ghosts. (Also, I’m pretty sure Shyamalan is adapting Cabin, so that should be interesting 😅) I also loved Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires. I’ll admit I was a little sad it wasn’t veering to a wackier, comedic conclusion, but the level of realism made it much more eerie. Enjoyed the podcast as always!x
