Great shave, Douglas is knocking out of the park the last few years. New soaps, splashes, brushes and razors. What a time to be part of the wet shaving world. Fab arrangement by Mrs H
Those lillies are gorgeous! My wife’s favorite flower. Mrs. H, well done! I really want to try this CK-6 soap because I know how Doug is about “getting it right”. They have fantastic soaps but always seek to improve their quality. Phenomenal job, Paul. Well done.
The Razor Rookie I’ve gotten I. Several of his new ck6 soaps last few weeks. They are simply fantastic! I can tell a difference that they have an even better performance than his regular formula.
This was another enjoyable shave, and you carry that joy even when your innards are being scorched by the reaper or when you get weepers that don't want to stop LoL Keep up the great work Paul plus possibly a vid on Mrs. H's flower beds.
Hi Paul- Very nice Sunday shave; thank you! Soap, brush, razor and blade all seemed to work perfectly together! Lovely flowers from Mrs H. I hope you both have a great day and a quiet supper afterwards. See you on Wednesday for the mid-week shave. All the best!
Paul Humphreys, Phoenix Artisan produts and an exuberant flower arrangement by Mrs H... what more can you ask for?!A hell of a shave this one. Have a great week.
Great video again Paul. PAA is one of the best, if not the best, artisan soap makers out there. Love his stuff. Also his aftershave / colognes last almost the full day with me.
Gr8 shave again Paul 💈Wow that lather looked amazing 👍Nice looking brush too. Beautiful flowers Mrs H 🌺 Don't worry I enjoyed 'Lashento's' in your honor!!! Lamb shank mashed spuds peas broccoli mint sauce and 'Lashento's' of gravy 👍👍🤣 Enjoy ur week both 💈👍🌺😊
Great shave today Paul. That DOC is indeed a nice razor, very smooth and not nearly as fearsome as it looks. I just received the black label Doppelgänger this past week and haven’t tried it yet but I hear great things. Lovely flowers as always Mrs. H. Cheers to you both!
Super shave Paul, nicely done. Doug and Fran have come up with several excellent products lately. Haven't used the CK-6 formula yet, it's on the list. I've had the original/nickle DOC for a couple of years now, always thought it a mild shaver with attitude😉. Just didn't like the handle, so replaced it. Just acquired the new PAA SS Ascension DOC "Twist Adjustable" razor and WOW! beautiful design and performance. A must try if you can. So many brushes, so little time..😢 Beautiful and bountiful arrangement from Mrs H today, never disappoints us, thanks. Another great video and review, much appreciated. Enjoy!
Great shave, Paul! Thank you for using the Nickel DOC as well! PAA is just an outstanding company all around. The new Aluminum Ascension looks pretty great and will be my next razor. They improved the DOC and made it an even more efficient razor! Now, I'm just waiting on you to use that Barrister And Mann soap as well.
Another excellent job Paul- certainly a “posh” shave! Sauvage is one of my favourites and definitely worth it if you like PAA’s rendition (which I also feel is quite excellent). I tend to shy away from feather blades although I am tempted to try them. Enjoy your Sunday!
Great video, Paul. Always entertaining and informative. I'm placing an order tomorrow for the Doppelganger CK-6 (along with a few others). Everyone I know who's tried them say they are FANTASTIC. I know Douglas Smythe of PAA must put a lot of work into all of his soaps. Hope you enjoy your dinner and what's left of the weekend. See you Wednesday!! 💈💈
Great video Paul, PAA is keeping up the production of new soaps sounds very nice, I do like the L'Oreal aftershave lotion, I hope that it isn't going out of production as I'm having trouble picking it up from Tesco now, I do notice Boots still stock it wither that is the last of the stock i dont know... all the best Mark.
Happy Sunday Paul! Roses and Lilies look stunning...thank you Mrs. H!! Wow, we are getting to see all the new goodies today...good show. I tried to purchase a PAA/CK travel scuttle from Doug when you first introduced it...sadly he was out of stock. I like a lot of PAA products, they are very consumer friendly and work. The Doppleganger shaving soap has the Crown King 6 base...arguably one of the best vegan bases around. I have said my face prefers tallow base, but a small sample of this CK-6 base proved to be delightfully nice; excellent lather and great post-shave face feel. The DOC design indeed looks intimidating. You are in beast-mode...loading a Feather blade...omg. Much more brave than I. I do agree...Feather blades are extremely sharp and overly so. I think they feel like shaving with a razor saw on the first use. That was a superb weekend shave, Paul. Enjoy your day. Thank you, as always, for sharing. Take care.
Great shave Paul. I can highly recommend the Dior Sauvage. I got the Eud Da Parfum version of it, and it smells amazing, and the scent longevity of it is amazing. I can still smell it on my clothes the next day, if I leave my clothes in the bedroom, when I walk in. The EDP is a little bit more expensive, but you don't need to spray as much of it, compared to the EDT, as the EDP has a higher percentage of the fragrance oils in it (basically its the same story when comparing EDP to EDT). I paid £83 for 100ml of the EDP of Dior Sauvage Paul.
Great shave right there. Just had mine with the Parker variant paired with the 7 o clock Super stainless blade. More razors to try out such as the krona
Paul justhad my Sunday shave, used my Qshave razor and derby premium blade this is a great merkur futur copy comes very well packaged only £25, complete with stand looks as expensive as the merkur but much better packed including a leather head cover.
I have the Doppelganger soap with the oxblood colored label. Pretty nice stuff. Good gear you have there. Now, I'm going to want that brush...(sigh)...😭😱😭💈👿👍
Looks like yet another great shave, which worries me a bit, as it makes me feel that I am doing something wrong. I have recently made my first purchase from PAA. I got this exact same razor, the Frost Byte soap and the Atomic Rocket brush. In reverse order, the brush is a MOSTER and it lathers like I have never seen lather before in my life! The soap is out of this world! The scent, the menthol feel, the sleekness, the thickness, everything about it could not make me happier. The razor was somewhat of a disappointment though. Before that, I have been using a EJ-89 (happy), a vintage Gillette Knack (made in UK - happy) and a Merkur 34g (my favourite). With the PAA, I just cannot get a close shave. I've tried everything I know. From different angles to different blades. In the end, it merely gives me a comfortable shave, but not a close one. I would appreciate your input on this, 'cause I am starting to feel like a 100%-42-carat-plonker - aaahahaaahahaa, love OFAH too! Thanks for another great video. Greek greetings from Qatar!
Have you tried a Feather blade in it?.....and not sure how your changing your angles, but sometimes very slight angle changes make huge differences, although this is not an aggressive razor, so it could be too mild for your beard growth, especially if it's strong thick beard....I too love OFAH :-))
Paul..Would you happen to know what shave shops in Britain Winston Churchill visited? what are some of the soaps he might of bought? just wondering.. Thanks!
Rob B Hi Rob I’m not to sure but I would guess he used DR Harris or Trufitt and hill, there in st james st where JJ FOX cigar shop is,where he used to buy and smoke his cigars
I just got this razor and sadly I think mine is defective. The blade exposure is extremely uneven on mine. One side just has a tiny bit of the razor coming out while the other side has way too much blade exposure. I kept trying to fix it but nothing seems to help.
Excited that my Sis and Niece are coming in 3 days to visit from Idaho for a couple of weeks. Time to do some Theme Parks and just enjoy each other. The last 2 times we all saw each other was in 2010 for our Father's funeral and before that in 2005 for our Mother's funeral. This time it will be for FUN!
Adrian Wagner I literally got mine in today before I left for work. Can’t wait to try it in the morning!! No feather for me though gonna use Gillette plat!
Hi paul the mutiny shaving co. have a new 2 in 1 face / shaving soap called the Black Pearl www.mutinyshaving.co.uk/product/the-black-pearl if you can review it I have been using it love the soap lathers up so good the lather is not an dense lather more of a fluffy lather plus it good for daily face soap which helps to tackle blackheads especially on the nose area
Great shave, Douglas is knocking out of the park the last few years. New soaps, splashes, brushes and razors. What a time to be part of the wet shaving world. Fab arrangement by Mrs H
Lillies are my wife’s favorite flower. She had them in her wedding bouquet.

Phenomenal job, Paul. Well done.
The Razor Rookie I’ve gotten I. Several of his new ck6 soaps last few weeks. They are simply fantastic! I can tell a difference that they have an even better performance than his regular formula.
Love the flowers, always do.....mrs H 🙏.......great shave Paul....especially like the red brush.
Thank you for reaquanting me with my PAA products. Had a great shave with my Merkur 34 C, Astra blade, and Speak Easy soap today!
This was another enjoyable shave, and you carry that joy even when your innards are being scorched by the reaper or when you get weepers that don't want to stop LoL
Keep up the great work Paul plus possibly a vid on Mrs. H's flower beds.
Great Shave in 1080p50HD... Doppelganger Soap looks like a must have, Mrs H your flowers are wonderful too! ;-)

"1,2,3 pickup time!!!" I love it!!!
Hey thanks Cincy :-)
Absolutely fantastic shave and video. I’ve got PAA Doppelgänger on my list. Have a great time out today and take care. Cheers
Great video again Paul. PAA is one of the best, if not the best, artisan soap makers out there. Love his stuff. Also his aftershave / colognes last almost the full day with me.

Fantastic shave Paul. Giant display from Mrs H and beautiful to boot. Hope your evening out is exciting. Looking forward to the midweek. Cheers 👍🏻💈
That soap lathers like a champ.
Thanks for sharing another great video, Paul!
The Spectre the new ck6 formula to me lathers in seconds!! Compared to other soaps
Great shave Paul. Love that brush and soap and that double open comb beautiful razor. Gota love that pick up time........ Baby. Lol. Have a great day.
So many soaps and creams, so little money. Another great video, Paul. Thanks.

Doppelganger means look-alike in German. Good job as always, Paul !!!!

Great shave and video Paul! I currently have a red tip, blue tip and a fat boy on their way! Can't wait should be near end of month
I'm interested in knowing if the comfort from the feather was due to the razor or the soap. Either way, very nice.
great shaving Paul!!! Very nice product,Douglas makes great products!

Blue Samhain just came back out. It’s simply wonderful pumpkin!! And available in the ck6 formula
The feather blade is awesome with that razor.
Yes, must try one in this myself, thanks Michael :-)
Hi Paul. I purchased the Paul Smith aftershave in Debanhams lately. It does smell great doesn’t it.

Fantastic Shave Paul. Yes the Eau Sauvage is not Cheap !! But nice and I must get that Soap from PAA .....
Have you tried the PAA ascension TTA razor... Worth keeping in your Christmas list from what I hear...
I have Sauvage and love the scent. That soap is definately on my wish list.
I have the same razor , love it with a Perma sharp blade. I enjoy your videos, keep them coming.
Awesome video as usual got to try that soap 👍

Nice shave. Thanks
You'd sell two tshirts then!! I'd buy one for sure!! 😃 Great video Paul!! Nice razor also!
I have the Doppelganger soap with the oxblood colored label. Pretty nice stuff. Good gear you have there. Now, I'm going to want that brush...(sigh)...😭😱😭💈👿👍
Good Morning! Wow, that arrangement is gigantic and beautiful. That's a different brush.
Thanks for the video Paul ... 👍💈💈💈

Yes, throwing a Feather in was one of my first reactions, but in vain. Of course I will try it again (and again). Thank you for your reply...

I like that soap.
Paul, can you add to your demonstrations where we can buy the products you use, and how much
I do try to put links in the video description to what I can Steve....many thanks
Paul if you don’t mind me asking what do you do for work that wake up so early?
I am a Postman (Mailman)
Paul..Would you happen to know what shave shops in Britain Winston Churchill visited? what are some of the soaps he might of bought? just wondering.. Thanks!

Hello Paul, can you tell how this razor is in comparison to Yaqi DLC blue razor which you used some time back thanks.
From memory I think this is very slightly more aggressive than the DLC blue, not much though, many thanks :-)
I just got this razor and sadly I think mine is defective. The blade exposure is extremely uneven on mine. One side just has a tiny bit of the razor coming out while the other side has way too much blade exposure. I kept trying to fix it but nothing seems to help.
If you have recently got it, you should try a refunding it for a new one, maybe contact Wilkinson Sword.
Why didn't you get the matching aftershave?
It can't be sent UK and USA laws sadly.
@@PaulHFilms so much laws man I hate it
Lighting looks good, Paul. No artefacts in the video. Have a good week.
Over and out Paul not bad shave ha
