Shave with any bar soap or Mitchell's Wool Fat? Cut the bar soap up, put in a mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, microwave for a minute or so? if it foams up, stop. let cool you just went it to congeal' place in the sun, until soap hardens Larry

I have the Atomic Pumpkin body soap (it's a great way to sample the scents!), and I can't remember exactly how it smells because I put it on the bottom of my big soap pile that I'm running through. I put all of the ones I liked the most at the bottom so I'd have them last, and that was on the very bottom so again, must have really liked it. I'll probably use that one next. It's interesting that you mention how it smells like bay rum with sort of a pumpkin pie type of vibe, and that's actually something I've really been interested in for a while. When I used to go to the YMCA in the late 2010s, I remember that there always used to be this smell in the locker room that was like pumpkin pie and bay rum mixed together, and I just could never figure out where it was coming from. Maybe it was just some guy who was wearing a fragrance, maybe it was somebody's soap, I don't know, but I could never quite figure out what it was. I'll have to try this just because I really want something like that.

I’ve gotten countless bath soaps from them. Great idea to put the best ones on the bottom, I might have to take your idea. Great list! Nice to hear others opinions on their favorites. I have The Beach, Droid Black, Good Vibrations, Cold Spices, Diver Down & Future Fiction. Love all of them. Think I’ll try Cavendish and Twee next. I’m curious to see how closely Twee compares to Green Irish Tweed. PAA has so many scents to choose from! I have quite a few aftershave samples as well but haven’t gotten around to using them yet. Hard for me to discern the scent of aftershave without actually using it. Always smells a little different when I use it vs. how it smells in the bottle.

I don’t have any PAA soaps, for no other reason than I have been trying so many other soaps. I think maybe another reason might be that all the fragrances are all so complex and I get overwhelmed with too many scent notes. I think I’m getting a little better with strong, complicated fragrances but I just don’t know what most things smell like and I’m hesitant to buy a big tub of something I have no idea if I’ll like. I am probably going to buy a brush and razor from them soon and will at least try their samples at least. Thanks for the video!

Good thing that samples are offered by most of them and also sites like magggards. I usually go the sample route and will only get a tub if there’s a scent that really speaks to me. PAA certainly has a lot of complex scents, that’s for sure. Luckily they offer 1$ aftershave samples on their site which is fantastic since their catalogue is massive and it’s hard to tell what their soaps smell like from the name of the soap. I would recommend buying a few of those if you want to get into the brand. A lot of people like their brushes too! Anyway, thank you for your continued support man and I hope you have a great week 👍🏻
Great review ! My favorite PAA ever was Vetiver which is unfortunately discontinued, it was a blend of three type of vetivers emulating earthy and citrus scent, it was smelling very natural and great. Today I used PAA Fresco, please try it as I thought it was another good one with eucalyptus(non medicinal type), spice, green, may be marine notes? scent and scent lasted almost the entire day on my face.

I have the soap bar for garden of bali and it reminds me of that la tiera mojada from paa, they both give me that scented candle vibes except this one is a lot more herbal and floral, i really dont know if i want to go for the shave soap and aftershave
Thanks so much for watching Chemo! Yeah, I also have la tierra mojada, and both that one and garden of bali do have a floral, candle like smell to them. In my opinion, they have a more "realistic" scent to them than a candle does, but I still see how you would pick that up. The soap and aftershave is very floral heavy, so if that's not your thing I wouldnt go for it. Now cavendish is absolutely amazing. It's a really awesome cherry and pipe tobacco scent. You will love that one. And remember that if you're in the states, you can always order an aftershave sample if you're not sure if youll like a scent. Have a good weekend.

I love PAA and strangely enough I don't care for the beach, i know it's their most popular scent. wasn't strong enough for me when I smelled it in my local shave store. I went with atomic pumpkin and black droid. I also wanted to get gondolier or coconut bay but I somehow restrained myself to only buying two :) I also prefer TOBS tobacco to Cavendish

The soap is much weaker than the aftershave for some reason. Good choices, atomic pumpkin and droid black are two of my favotites. Gondolier is nice too but it's too cologney for my taste. Good vibrations smells like a classic barbershop with some summery floral notes. I quite enjoy both but in my opinion Good Vibrations is a better choice if you’re looking for a scent that you can wear for any occasion.

Hi Logi, A lot of these are seasonal soaps that they only have in stock at a certain time of year. The clown fruit, ciderhouse and atomic pumpkin should be back around October and the Irish springs is a spring time seasonal. I too believe that Douglas and Fran have some of the best soap fragrances in the wet shaving space and Good Vibrations might the best smelling soap, IMO. Their bases are top notch, too. My favorites are Good Vibrations, as I said, but also Dapper Doc's, Atomic Bay Rum, CaD, Sancre de Drago, Droid Black, 1K, and Gondolier. I hope to try Atomic Pumpkin when I use up my next PAA soap. Yeah I like fresco a lot, I got a sample of it recently and really really enjoyed it. To me it smelled like really fresh Gillette type shaving cream with some cool eucalyptus. Smells absolutely amazing I agree! I need to snag a tub of that soon.

I have the soap bar for garden of bali and it reminds me of that la tiera mojada from paa, they both give me that scented candle vibes except this one is a lot more herbal and floral, i really dont know if i want to go for the shave soap and aftershave
I think I’m going for the cavendish instead🤔
Thanks so much for watching Chemo! Yeah, I also have la tierra mojada, and both that one and garden of bali do have a floral, candle like smell to them. In my opinion, they have a more "realistic" scent to them than a candle does, but I still see how you would pick that up. The soap and aftershave is very floral heavy, so if that's not your thing I wouldnt go for it. Now cavendish is absolutely amazing. It's a really awesome cherry and pipe tobacco scent. You will love that one. And remember that if you're in the states, you can always order an aftershave sample if you're not sure if youll like a scent. Have a good weekend.

A good way to get into the company is to purchase a few of their 1$ aftershave samples. It's a great way to test out some scents of theirs that you think you might enjoy. Have a great week!
I love PAA and strangely enough I don't care for the beach, i know it's their most popular scent. wasn't strong enough for me when I smelled it in my local shave store. I went with atomic pumpkin and black droid. I also wanted to get gondolier or coconut bay but I somehow restrained myself to only buying two :) I also prefer TOBS tobacco to Cavendish

You're not the first person I've seen who doesn't care for the beach. I can see how it's a polarizing type of scent. The soap is much weaker than the aftershave for some reason. Good choices, atomic pumpkin and droid black are two of my favotites. Gondolier is nice too but it's too cologney for my taste. It's a really strong cologne type scent so in my opinion you made great choices. Maybe I'll check out that tobs tobacco sometime. Thanks for your support and comment, and hope you enjoy the weekend!

Thank you! Tell me about it, it’s a bummer for sure. No, they are definitely different. The beach smells like suntan lotion with some sweetness. Good vibrations smells like a classic barbershop with some summery floral notes. I quite enjoy both but in my opinion Good Vibrations is a better choice if you’re looking for a scent that you can wear for any occasion.

I actually have an aftershave sample of tombstone and I enjoy it a lot. It's a really masculine smelling leather scent. It smells almost like a "new car smell" type leather and it's really nice.

A lot of these are seasonal soaps that they only have in stock at a certain time of year. The clown fruit, ciderhouse and atomic pumpkin should be back around October and the Irish springs is a spring time seasonal. Phoenix has an app where it notifies you when soaps are back in stock, I recommend checking it out.

I too believe that Douglas and Fran have some of the best soap fragrances in the wet shaving space and Good Vibrations might the best smelling soap, IMO. Their bases are top notch, too. My favorites are Good Vibrations, as I said, but also Dapper Doc's, Atomic Bay Rum, CaD, Sancre de Drago, Droid Black, 1K, and Gondolier. I hope to try Atomic Pumpkin when I use up my next PAA soap. I have yet to own a PAA soap yet.
I highly recommend paa. They are the busiest people in wetshaving. The amount of scents they have is insane, and the creativity of the brand is also really good. Give them a shot man! Have a great day!
