Well said Ben, your words, if this is reliable...... No engine oil dipstick, depending on electronic sensors for a correct oil level reading, I hope the twin turbos hold up, only time will tell. Definitely a smart looking truck, I'll give it that, and how long will that air-suspension last before one has issues with it......? He's been talking all about the 3.0 hurricane engine, and none of it is good. In my opinion, Ram would have had better luck keeping the old Hemi and just updating it. Or keeping it as a standard engine and offering the hurricane as an option like Ford does with their F150s. Maybe that's why Ford and GM still keep kicking Ram's ass in the sales figures. I guess Ram and Toyota must have missed the memo about customer service. That memo is give the customer's what they want, and you'll have loyal customers for years to come. Take away what the customer wants, and you not only lose new customers but loyal customers as well.

I bought my 2022 RAM 1500 Limited Longhorn with the Hybrid 5.7 V-8. One of the main reasons why I bought it. Now they only have 2 new straight twin turbos. Additionally, no oil dip stick. There is a reason why RAM sales are down 20% this year. No V-8 and many people like me will not be buying a 6 cylinder RAM. KEEP ON ROCKING!

With vehicles becoming more complex it's understandable to assume that they have become less reliable but it is in fact the opposite. In the year 2000 34% of vehicles would last on the road for 15 years. Now over 55% of vehicles last 15 years. The average lifespan of a vehicle today is around 200k miles as opposed to 150k miles 25 years ago. Believe it or not but on average, vehicles today are safer, have more power, are more fuel efficient and yes they are more reliable than they've ever been.

Ben, I don’t think anyone really cares anymore about more power. All of these trucks have ridiculous amounts of power. I think all of us would prefer simpler higher efficiency engines that last 300,000 miles along with very high quality materials plastics, leather, wood, etc. Regardless of trim level with these costs people deserve longer lasting, lower costs to operate and much higher quality interiors. But so far all these manufacturers seem capable of doing is reducing options, introducing more power while maintaining or loosing fuel mileage when moving from a V-8 to a turbo 6.
Rams leadership should all be fired. They were doing a damned good job until about 4 years ago when they decided to raise prices through the roof in order to pay for the massive costs of designing and delivering extremely expensive EV’s that cannot tow or haul with any reliable usable range. While gutting their companies to WOKE leadership and political ideology of the left, they are producing (RAM and Ford in particular) vehicles with fewer options, tremendously expensive price tags and this supposed “all new Ram” is nothing more than sticking an old technology inline 6 in with a 20 year old turbo design and calling it new!
What Ram should have done was develop a new more efficient V-8 and the inline 6. Then they should have made a true mid life update to the sheet metal and interiors. The new Rams look just like the old rams except they are using reduced quality materials and reduced options. When was the last time RAM offered new paint colors? It’s been the same run of color now for 15 years.
Ford is even worse. They keep reducing the quality of materials in the cab, using cheaper or removing all together wheel well liners, engine shields and even removing sound insulation. All the while they pay their presidents $25,000,000 to $35,000,000 million a year which is about 800x what they pay their average employ. Go back to 1980 and CEO’s of auto manufacturers made 10x their white collar employees. The progressive left movement for the people has been a lie that has made Oligarchs and career politicians super rich.
People better wake up or they’re going to find they are nothing more than slaves to the leftish woke elites who see themselves above the law.
