- Best things to do in Door County Wisconsin, we share our TOP 10. These are some of the best things in Door County to do and experience. This TOP 10 list will help you narrow down this amazing place to visit and help you maximize your vacation time. We will say this right off the bat, we understand why so many people return time after time to the area as there is so much to do that you can't get it all done in one trip!
We take you to the amazing State Parks along the lake, explore the many picturesque towns on the lakefront full of quaint shops and amazing restaurants. No trip to Door County would be complete without experiencing a traditional "Fish Boil" and we did not miss the chance to do just that. We were blessed with many wonderful sunsets and we share the best spots to see them from.
Like in all our travels we take you with us to the local breweries and wineries and Door County did not disappoint in either department. We were able to see the "elusive" spotted cow in the wild LOL and sampled some of the local foods and famous Wisconsin cherries.

I was just there for a couple weeks at our summer home. Our summer home was built last summer. My wife retires in about a month and will be spending all summer up there. Make sure you stop at the peach barn brewery and tell me hi. I’m in their quite often.
Door County is one of the few places in the USA where one can experience a sunrise, over water, in the morning and drive a few miles west and experience a sundown, over water..a few hours later. Both Lake Michigan and Green Bay are so wide, the other sides are over the horizon...or nearly over the horizon in the case of Green Bay.
It really is a slice of heaven. We hope to return during the fall months.

Headed our way to Door County next week in our 23FB, hubby already talking a 25! We have reservations for the Post Office Fish Bowl. We are currently in Mammoth Cave NP, heading tomorrow to Indiana Dunes NP, then onto Mackinaw City doing Mackinaw City at Mill Creek Campground then camping at Bailey Harbor! Door County has been on our list for awhile now. Thanks for perfect timing for video!

Very helpful info! I've been to DC countless times, but usually in the fall. We've camping at Peninsula State Park, then moving over to the quiet side in Bailey's Harbor. Looking forward to summer vibes and water activities!
We did most of what y’all did when we were there, but it was in the fall and so cold. We didn’t get to do the fish boil experience cause it was out of season. We went to Al’s Swedish Restaurant, but by this time of year, they just have a couple metal sheep in the roof. 😂. But everything else, we did get a chance to do. Oh, we didn’t kayak or do a boat tour either.

Where did you start the wineries tour on the trolley? Did you need reservations?
We actually didn't use the trolley, just happened to see it parked outside one of the wineries. I just checked on doorcountytrolley.com and they have a wide variety of tours.
How far apart are all these parks? And also where is the best place to stay to visit these?
Dont stay there, you are an outsider and will be treated as such.
