Make sure Will gets his wisdom teeth back. Turns out that's our body's stem cell bank for pluripotent stem cells. Yes, you can literally pay someone to hold and bank your teeth, and suddenly all those old jars of teeth make sense if they had stem cell tech back in those days lol
But for real, if you want to build up some batches of your own stem cells, that's where your good ones are saved.
Just a suggestion..... The TH-cam movie channel only makes SOME movies available for a month or so and then locks them for 3-6months...... Would that maybe help ur views in some of ur videos?.... Just food for thought...
Thanks so much for having me on!! Always a good time
Dave , PLEASE do a "behind the scenes/backstory" series about Dirt Everyday , I'd pay money for that ! Edwin said it , "authentic" , that's why I loved Dirt Everyday so much and now your channel and Grind hard too...
Dave- we watch you for you. I love the lifted and the lowered and the dirt bikes.
Just traveling all over the place Davey boy!! Nice😎👍
Dave! Do the review idea and maybe bring Fred along for a few episodes! Having you two bantering back and forth about it would be awesome!
I think it would be really cool if you did an explanatory video of the geometry behind triangulated for link suspension and when to use airbags or coil overs
Fred and dave were my favorites, dirt every day was my favorite show hands down, I miss it so much. Fun to see them pop up here and there.
The laughter was so contagious
Same!
Would watch those two apes take the trash out. 😂
Same, I'd bet they both would blow up on TH-cam if they did it together like dirt everyday
@@mikegaal1621they have TH-cam channels
Dirt EveryDay was the only reason I had a MT on demand subscription.
Seeing Dave Chappelle without a cigarette and a microphone in his hand really looks different. Must be the lighting or something.
Lol
They must have agreed before filming not to make that joke. I was totally expecting it. 😂
"If you have hate in your heart, LET IT OUT!!! " Clayton Bigsby
Dirt Every Day was mostly 2 grown men giggling like school girls. It was the best.
The Woodchuck the Wood Truck episode was just 30 minutes of giggle. If it doesn't cheer you up, you might be dead.
I hope Dave sees this, but Dave please do that series on reviewing old Dirt Everyday videos! That would be epic and i legitimately think it would really grow your channel!
I hear ya loud and clear
@@thedirtheadshedyou should at least some of those with Fred
Do it with Fred in a Mystery Science Theater 3000 style.
Dave seems like such a good guy. His channel is free from manufactured drama, clickbait topics, and bro-douchbaggery that plagues many car channels. He provides great tech and awesome adventures from a knowledgeable chill guy.
All 11 seasons of dirt every day are still on the discovery app
Y’all had a party without me.
Ha! Mr. I-don't-watch-any-long- YT- content....😂
This was a good time Jacob, but like your last Mortskie, Zack, & Slick collab...holy crap thst was a fun vid man.👍👍
Come by man!!!
The thing about getting old is, those bumps you could scrub off without even fully noticing back then, will make you piss blood, not walk straight and consider pharmacy grade painkillers. And the notion "I can't do that anymore" applies for more and more stuff every year.
My favorite DED episode is where they rode the Coleman bikes to Crown King. Soooo many laughs!
Dave is so much fun to hang with and talk trucks!!!
Ian, is your stuff mainly on the tube now or are you still working with networks? I really enjoyed Xtreme 4x4.
"Nooo... I had a Sombrero on." 😂😂
The best...
I laughed so loud
Dave is Rad! So glad Y'all had Him on here!
I’ll be totally honest. When Dave came into dirt everyday I was kind of apprehensive. Wasn’t upset but like a lot of people I just didn’t want things to change. Very quickly I became a fan of Dave and still am. I was upset when ded got cancelled but I’m loving the content from both of them now.
I wish dirt everyday was still being made but I love seeing Dave do and say what he wants.
Dave if you happen to see this comment I’m finishing up a 10a build that you have given me a ton of inspiration for different parts of the project. I was also talking to a guy on facebook a couple weeks ago who owns the 10a now from the dirt everyday extra episode. He cut the back off of it and fully tubed the back of it with coilovers
That’s awesome!
Dave is one of my favorite people in youtube/TV history. I remember the first roadkill episode and being so estatic to find a channel doing what my friends and I loved doing with old cars, I sent that to everybody I knew. When dirt every day came out and that style of video was mashed with the offroad world it was a game changer. Motortrend drove me away and I’ve missed the last few years of episodes, but when the dirthead shed came to TH-cam it was refreshing. Watching Dave and Puddin’s fab shop the past couple years has encouraged me to try my hand at lowrider/cruiser scene, you are very encouraging. Thanks for being real Dave, this was nice hearing about behind the scenes.
1:12 The answer to all of that is a simple film permit...it blows my mind how many TH-cam "professionals" never pull film permits. A film permit is ypur "license" to do stupid stuff....like racing a Baja Bug through LA streets....or shooting fireworks from helicopters...
FYI - Mighty Car Mods started Jan. 2008, Roadkill started Feb. 2012
Thanks Booger
Freiburger had also started CarJunkieTV before Roadkill
Best cross over episode ever!!!!! i miss dirt everyday!!
I miss dirt every day, it seems like motor trend fell apart so fast 😂 I'm glad a lot of the hosts have started their own channels though. Dave is my favorite! Don't feel bad dave, my editing happens a lot like yours lol I never watch my video back, just edit it as I go and send it 😂
Dunno if this has been posted or not, but mcm started 08. Roadkill 2012.
Dave I would love so see a series talking about the DED episodes
A watch along/commentary would be cool
I remember clampy...my bathroom in college was filled w/ peterson mags. They were also a reliable source of harbor freight coupons. No telling how many tie down chains i got out of that mag.
Dirt everyday was taking off as I was first getting into off roading. I bought and lifted a 99 Jeep XJ. Gears and lockers were next. We've taken it to Colorado twice, Oklahoma twice and all over my home state of Missouri. I've been hooked on 4 wheeling ever since. I now have 3 Jeeps, a Power Wagon, and a 4runner.
I got to meet Fred and Dave in my small town! Best day of my life!
Lucky guy !
Dirt every day is still a top ten show on the automotive discovery. Dave should do a behind the scene type of show. Discovery has become hot garbage
I really miss dirt everyday. Such a great concept that appealed to the average guy in his garage.
Love seeing Dave Chappelle on your show! I never get tired of that guy.
Fred Williams and Dave Chappelle are a great combination and the two of you need to have your own channel! !
This is the only podcast iv ever actually been able to listen to! Dave and fred got me into the 4x4 and grindhard got me into custom building my own stuff love both these channels and i can't wait for whatever content comes next
I've been waiting for this one since I caught a hint about it on Dave's video awhile back. Great job!
@sentandbent This video has been great! Really a ton of info for growing channels like ourselves to relate to or implement in newer content. You guys did an awesome job and the reality of all this that is shared is so raw.
Great episode! Love Dirthead Dave content.
Everyone loves Dave! This was a great podcast, it just felt so casual and relaxed.
I just rewatched the clip and Dave and Fred had their sombrero’s on. In fact, Fred was waving his out of the side window as the drone descended upon the Winnebago.
My favorite thing about this group of guys and the other channels I watch are the people are chill and let their building speak for them
When they rolled the lifted motorhome over trying to do donuts I almost wet myself laughing at those two laughing!
I saw a little bit of Dave in a fabrats video I think. The one where he drove the butter jeep off in the water and boat anchored it. Obviously it was just something that happened in the background of someone else’s video but looked him up on TH-cam and have been watching ever since. I watch because he’s a down to earth guy who does lots of cool things. I get bored pretty quickly watching rich guys open boxes of brand new stuff and bolt it together for a few thrashes on camera and then it disappears. Dave working on stuff or driving around with a camera is entertaining enough for me. Obviously, there are a lot of people who really like Dave because just look around TH-cam and read the comments. I wish he was making enough to do TH-cam or something full time because I feel like he deserves it. That stuff isn’t cheap. We all have projects in mind that we just don’t have the money for.
Having not watched any of Dirt Everyday, I would totally watch him talk through each episode with a BTS story
They could turn Dirt Everyday into its own channel with off-roading, dirt bikes, overlanding, mountain bikes anything transportation in the outdoors.
Hell yea Dave I'm excited and glad you're back! I can't wait to see more about your skills with low riders!
Just like everyone else, I miss DED. So much. IMHO it was, hands down, the only channel worth watching back in the pre MTOD, raw YT days. I mean, roadkill was good too, but, dirt, every day. Cmon.
Just keep doing what you enjoy, i dont want a low mini truck, but i enjoy all your content, im not necessarily looking for bike content from you, but im trying to watch just to help you succeed because i like the way you build stuff and i learn
Probably my favorite episode. Dave is such a cool guy and great creator. Only thing that would of made it better is if Will could have been there.
Cool episode gentlemen 👍
Thanks for the tease about the fire truck. I was excited about it before but now I can't even explain it.
2:50 I’m 33, been mountain biking, snowboarding, rock climbing etc for twenty five years now..based in New Zealand…
“Viking teeth” is how the dentist described the curly roots on my wisdom teeth.. but getting four pulled was the worst pain I’d experienced including getting dry socket in one of them while living on an isolated island 3km off mainland Auckland.. worst experience of my entire lifetime until four years later (2 years ago now) I ruptured my right testicle twelve months after splitting my spleen in half…. Testie is the worst pain ever.. even the med staff cringed and buckled as they witnessed my potato size nut
Funny you bring up resurrecting things you used to enjoy, I'm getting back into photography that I loved in college🤘
Dave is such a cool dude! The perfect guest for your show. He actually made me aware of your channel 😉
Great podcast! Dave is rad
Dave is Awesome! Much Love
Thanks for getting us the backstory about all the good motortrend shows that are something like history
Me for one have watched all daves channels I loved them all and miss them
When GHP first came out I watched because this guy was building cool little vehicles from mostly scrap in a rustic shed with a 4 1/2 inch grinder and JB weld and getting it done.
That was cool to go down dirt every day memory lane, im headed to discovery to watch those now.
I've watched 30 of the podcast at least and this is the best one so far. I have very similar interests with Dave so I may be biased but great work guys!
I love Dave's content, very random "I'm LS swapping butter jeep, but also, I'm washing my shoes"
Love the Dave!
I'm here for that Dirthead goodness!
Dave is the coolest dude!
Dirt Everyday with Fred and Dave was awesome!!!
I loved listening to you guys talking about the struggles w/ content creation. I still work a full time job and run my channel and I struggle with some of the same things. Any my channel is a minnow is a sea of whales. Great episode. Thank you!!!
Rubicon episode was the best
I was there, driving through the rubicon, when you guys were filming the ebay thing on the trail. The production team was HUGE and rudely Holywood. They kept claiming the trail was closed for the day. All the people on the trail were talking shit about the production team. I was in a beat Samurai, and probably ruined at least one shot with the bronco haha
I really miss "Dirt everyday" and the partnership of Dave & Fred made the show so entertaining
Hell yea another podcast!
i have motortend i love all the shows ,miss dirt everyday alot . you guys were nuts .lol
im not very happy with discovery so far , but all the same shows are all there .
mighty car modes was on long before roadkill on youtube .
i am so glad you have a channel Dave ,your keeping dirt head vibe going
motortrend failing hard af after try-harding the whole streaming service thing got me one of the best "told you" moments of the last years... corpos are learn resistant...
Please bring back dirt everyday. That show was great
Next to old school top gear DED was one of my favorite shows. You know its good when my wife (who is not at all a car person) liked it. As an enginner in the Army I can attest to just how sketchy a SEE truck is. Waaaaaaaay to soft sprung and underpowered.
glad the dude on the left showered for the pod!
Fred and Dave should get together and just do their own Dirt Everyday, and just call it something different to avoid any potential for lawsuits.
42:44 100%!!!! I don’t mind longer podcast episodes cause I’m just listening. But woth my favorite channels. I’d rather them be 20 minutes then 40. I don’t always have 40 minutes to dedicate. And then i forget to finish the show later.
i always love the Quote "Old age and treachery will always beat youth and exuberance" :D
So Fred and Dave should start a new version call it dirt every other day 🤔 it was one of my favorites
Dave is rad
I love Dave
People just want good mates working on cars bikes anything with a engine and having a laugh doing it and sharing it
Everyone's just casually waiting for you guys to talk about Will lol
Keep doing what your doing great show boys
And Dave your killing no worries man and if part of your downsizing is selling that hardbody hit me up that thing is basically my dream truck
Watched a couple roadkill episodes on discovery recently, they've cropped them weird, not the same as originally aired. Gonna watch a dirt every day here soon, hopefully that didn't get messed with.
I would love Dave's director cuts
Thank you for this podcast. @thedirtheadshed, thank you for talking about struggles with tech and you tube, @SentAndBent this is the kind of podcast I have been waiting for, there are plenty of self help TH-cam videos for financial channels and makeup channels and none for us offroad TH-camrs. Just listening to other like minded TH-camrs discuss the struggle making videos is fresh.
So, you have 2 more of those wheels....hulk segway....you're welcome😂
Dave the only guy that builds the coolest rad rock crawlers then slammed Dodge D50s and Mustang 2s.
Peak youtube was when dirt everyday was free to watch
Mighty car mods existed for a long time before roadkill.
1:22:22 cosine effect
i did Novocain it was nice easy you heal fast and its cheaper
came for Dave, stayed to see what else y'all are up to.
and Dave, I've followed you since you were a guest on DED. You are the most down to earth, most relatable person from the MT shows. If you make it, people will watch. The behind the scenes thing would be fun. I would also like to see you and Fred do some builds together, which might help his viewership numbers increase. Fred's awesome, but he gets too into talking about products and being a salesman. It would be fun to see the Dirtheads ride again.
Management meeting notes: New manager: "What if we have Dave fabricate stuff for hunting ghosts, river monsters and UFOs while rock crawling?" Old manager: "I like it. Maybe we call it "Everyday Dirt Ghosts on Skin Walker Island" or "How It Works on Dirts and Rocks"?
Maybe it should become the Recovery Channel?
FYI - Dirt Every Day episodes are on Discovery+
Ethan looks like he absolutely shouldn’t be sitting still. He needs to build! Haha❤
Dave is so cool!..I wish I could hang out with him. I wish I was his neighbour
The corner where projects go to be forgotten...
damn dave's such a cool dude
Dave is definitely not the reason DED went under. I couldn't finish this episode, with the LIKE guy.
norcal has some pretty crazy stuff on market place lol.
