Make sure Will gets his wisdom teeth back. Turns out that's our body's stem cell bank for pluripotent stem cells. Yes, you can literally pay someone to hold and bank your teeth, and suddenly all those old jars of teeth make sense if they had stem cell tech back in those days lol But for real, if you want to build up some batches of your own stem cells, that's where your good ones are saved.
Just a suggestion..... The TH-cam movie channel only makes SOME movies available for a month or so and then locks them for 3-6months...... Would that maybe help ur views in some of ur videos?.... Just food for thought...
Dave , PLEASE do a "behind the scenes/backstory" series about Dirt Everyday , I'd pay money for that ! Edwin said it , "authentic" , that's why I loved Dirt Everyday so much and now your channel and Grind hard too...
I think it would be really cool if you did an explanatory video of the geometry behind triangulated for link suspension and when to use airbags or coil overs
I hope Dave sees this, but Dave please do that series on reviewing old Dirt Everyday videos! That would be epic and i legitimately think it would really grow your channel!
100% since you asked me the Mad Maxxis is one of the dopest vehicles I’ve ever seen made. That’s where I realized your skill by not just doing a frame swap.
Dave seems like such a good guy. His channel is free from manufactured drama, clickbait topics, and bro-douchbaggery that plagues many car channels. He provides great tech and awesome adventures from a knowledgeable chill guy.
1:12 The answer to all of that is a simple film permit...it blows my mind how many TH-cam "professionals" never pull film permits. A film permit is ypur "license" to do stupid stuff....like racing a Baja Bug through LA streets....or shooting fireworks from helicopters...
Dave is one of my favorite people in youtube/TV history. I remember the first roadkill episode and being so estatic to find a channel doing what my friends and I loved doing with old cars, I sent that to everybody I knew. When dirt every day came out and that style of video was mashed with the offroad world it was a game changer. Motortrend drove me away and I’ve missed the last few years of episodes, but when the dirthead shed came to TH-cam it was refreshing. Watching Dave and Puddin’s fab shop the past couple years has encouraged me to try my hand at lowrider/cruiser scene, you are very encouraging. Thanks for being real Dave, this was nice hearing about behind the scenes.
MCM pre-dates Roadkill and Motortrend content. Roadkill had great production value from the start because of monetary assistance from TH-cam. (TH-cam helped several channels to elevate the value of the content available on the platform.)
Ha! Mr. I-don't-watch-any-long- YT- content....😂 This was a good time Jacob, but like your last Mortskie, Zack, & Slick collab...holy crap thst was a fun vid man.👍👍
This is the only podcast iv ever actually been able to listen to! Dave and fred got me into the 4x4 and grindhard got me into custom building my own stuff love both these channels and i can't wait for whatever content comes next
I remember clampy...my bathroom in college was filled w/ peterson mags. They were also a reliable source of harbor freight coupons. No telling how many tie down chains i got out of that mag.
The thing about getting old is, those bumps you could scrub off without even fully noticing back then, will make you piss blood, not walk straight and consider pharmacy grade painkillers. And the notion "I can't do that anymore" applies for more and more stuff every year.
The best part about Dave and Fred is that it is never overproduced BS. There was always time to explain what they are doing and actually showing the process and how to do it, not hey we need a triangulated 4 link in the vehicle and all the sudden there it was. That's what made the show cool and that is what continues to make the Dirthead Shed an awesome thing to watch. Not to mention Dave is 100% a down to earth cool dude.
I’ll be totally honest. When Dave came into dirt everyday I was kind of apprehensive. Wasn’t upset but like a lot of people I just didn’t want things to change. Very quickly I became a fan of Dave and still am. I was upset when ded got cancelled but I’m loving the content from both of them now.
I wish dirt everyday was still being made but I love seeing Dave do and say what he wants. Dave if you happen to see this comment I’m finishing up a 10a build that you have given me a ton of inspiration for different parts of the project. I was also talking to a guy on facebook a couple weeks ago who owns the 10a now from the dirt everyday extra episode. He cut the back off of it and fully tubed the back of it with coilovers
@@thedirtheadshed Thanks for the response! I know it’s a far stretch. If you ever make it way over to the east coast around east central Kentucky (I know it’s a haul for you) we would love to show you around some trails with some views and awesome caves you can’t find on maps!! We got rigs of all shapes and sizes so usually stick to moderate trails but there’s always some big rocks and mud to break stuff and pull cable on
Love the video, I don't usually watch Podcast, but when you have 3 of my favorite creators in it, its a must watch. Great video watched every minute, actually hated when it ended. Great Job!
Just like everyone else, I miss DED. So much. IMHO it was, hands down, the only channel worth watching back in the pre MTOD, raw YT days. I mean, roadkill was good too, but, dirt, every day. Cmon.
Just keep doing what you enjoy, i dont want a low mini truck, but i enjoy all your content, im not necessarily looking for bike content from you, but im trying to watch just to help you succeed because i like the way you build stuff and i learn
I miss dirt every day, it seems like motor trend fell apart so fast 😂 I'm glad a lot of the hosts have started their own channels though. Dave is my favorite! Don't feel bad dave, my editing happens a lot like yours lol I never watch my video back, just edit it as I go and send it 😂
I've watched 30 of the podcast at least and this is the best one so far. I have very similar interests with Dave so I may be biased but great work guys!
I saw a little bit of Dave in a fabrats video I think. The one where he drove the butter jeep off in the water and boat anchored it. Obviously it was just something that happened in the background of someone else’s video but looked him up on TH-cam and have been watching ever since. I watch because he’s a down to earth guy who does lots of cool things. I get bored pretty quickly watching rich guys open boxes of brand new stuff and bolt it together for a few thrashes on camera and then it disappears. Dave working on stuff or driving around with a camera is entertaining enough for me. Obviously, there are a lot of people who really like Dave because just look around TH-cam and read the comments. I wish he was making enough to do TH-cam or something full time because I feel like he deserves it. That stuff isn’t cheap. We all have projects in mind that we just don’t have the money for.
@sentandbent This video has been great! Really a ton of info for growing channels like ourselves to relate to or implement in newer content. You guys did an awesome job and the reality of all this that is shared is so raw.
42:44 100%!!!! I don’t mind longer podcast episodes cause I’m just listening. But woth my favorite channels. I’d rather them be 20 minutes then 40. I don’t always have 40 minutes to dedicate. And then i forget to finish the show later.
2:50 I’m 33, been mountain biking, snowboarding, rock climbing etc for twenty five years now..based in New Zealand… “Viking teeth” is how the dentist described the curly roots on my wisdom teeth.. but getting four pulled was the worst pain I’d experienced including getting dry socket in one of them while living on an isolated island 3km off mainland Auckland.. worst experience of my entire lifetime until four years later (2 years ago now) I ruptured my right testicle twelve months after splitting my spleen in half…. Testie is the worst pain ever.. even the med staff cringed and buckled as they witnessed my potato size nut
I just rewatched the clip and Dave and Fred had their sombrero’s on. In fact, Fred was waving his out of the side window as the drone descended upon the Winnebago.
I'd watch the dirthead shed if it was filmed with the cameras that get pointed at sasquatch. Cause it's 100% genuine and 100% informative. Just a legend.
Dirt everyday was taking off as I was first getting into off roading. I bought and lifted a 99 Jeep XJ. Gears and lockers were next. We've taken it to Colorado twice, Oklahoma twice and all over my home state of Missouri. I've been hooked on 4 wheeling ever since. I now have 3 Jeeps, a Power Wagon, and a 4runner.
I dropped my subscription when Dirt Every Day was cancelled, you could tell that Dave and Fred were their real selves building junk that they would wheel. Glad you're still doing it Dave!
Dirt Head Shed is awesome! Dave, I prefer the 4x4 fab videos but, I'll watch the bike stuff too. It's all cool! Grind Hard is great too! I love the builds on both channels.
When GHP first came out I watched because this guy was building cool little vehicles from mostly scrap in a rustic shed with a 4 1/2 inch grinder and JB weld and getting it done.
i have motortend i love all the shows ,miss dirt everyday alot . you guys were nuts .lol im not very happy with discovery so far , but all the same shows are all there . mighty car modes was on long before roadkill on youtube . i am so glad you have a channel Dave ,your keeping dirt head vibe going
Next to old school top gear DED was one of my favorite shows. You know its good when my wife (who is not at all a car person) liked it. As an enginner in the Army I can attest to just how sketchy a SEE truck is. Waaaaaaaay to soft sprung and underpowered.
I loved listening to you guys talking about the struggles w/ content creation. I still work a full time job and run my channel and I struggle with some of the same things. Any my channel is a minnow is a sea of whales. Great episode. Thank you!!!
motortrend failing hard af after try-harding the whole streaming service thing got me one of the best "told you" moments of the last years... corpos are learn resistant...

They kept claiming the trail was closed for the day. All the people on the trail were talking shit about the production team. I was in a beat Samurai, and probably ruined at least one shot with the bronco haha
Thank you for this podcast. @thedirtheadshed, thank you for talking about struggles with tech and you tube, @SentAndBent this is the kind of podcast I have been waiting for, there are plenty of self help TH-cam videos for financial channels and makeup channels and none for us offroad TH-camrs. Just traveling all over the place Davey boy!! Nice😎👍
Dave! Do the review idea and maybe bring Fred along for a few episodes! Having you two bantering back and forth about it would be awesome!
I think it would be really cool if you did an explanatory video of the geometry behind triangulated for link suspension and when to use airbags or coil overs
Dirt EveryDay was the only reason I had a MT on demand subscription.
Fred and dave were my favorites, dirt every day was my favorite show hands down, I miss it so much. Fun to see them pop up here and there.
The laughter was so contagious
Same!
Would watch those two apes take the trash out. 😂
Same, I'd bet they both would blow up on TH-cam if they did it together like dirt everyday
@@mikegaal1621they have TH-cam channels
Dirt Every Day was mostly 2 grown men giggling like school girls. It was the best.
The Woodchuck the Wood Truck episode was just 30 minutes of giggle. If it doesn't cheer you up, you might be dead.
Dirthead Dave is an Icon!
Seeing Dave Chappelle without a cigarette and a microphone in his hand really looks different. Must be the lighting or something.
Lol
They must have agreed before filming not to make that joke. I was totally expecting it. 😂
