Having heard Robinson’s super-tasty work with John Mayall, I bought this album in 1972. Great playing, and still one of the most elegant jobs of cover art I’ve ever seen.
I have an almost 1 hr. cassette recording from KRCL-FM Salt Lake City, Utah of Freddie performing solo and backed with the Blue Devils at The Dead Goat Saloon Nov. 30, 1987. The recording is of extremely high quality. Don’t know if it’s legal to upload here without breaking the “Third Party Content” rule.

RIP Freddy Robinson, loved your Stax albums, including this one. Another R & B/blues and Stax gem lost...
This Cat is Baad! I appreciate his sound and the feel for music.
Just got this album and am so pleased with the amazingness of it. Never heard of Freddie before but believe I’ll be on the lookout.
