You can thank PETA for getting veterinary oversight for processing plants defunded. When we had that, horses had to be shipped and treated humanely. Once that ended, horses went back to being shipped in double-decker cattle trucks to Mexico where slaughter is barbaric - Yes I made myself watch the video all the way through. Thanks, PETA. And now when a horse comes to the end of his usefulness for whatever reason, the owner must PAY to have him euthanized and PAY to have him removed and buried.
