Whether or not Ohio State was fired up or wanted it more...didnt matter, Michigan is the more talented team. Oregon fooled them...Michigan took them to the woodshed. Ohio State never led...they were resilient and got close at times...but couldn't stop Michigan's run game. They got beat down.

I'm literally a die hard buckeye fan but Michigan simply just beat OSU ass this game. The game against Clemson a couple years when we lost it in the 4th really truly broke my heart because we played better and should have won. But We were never in control of this game today. Michigan played harder played faster and executed. OSU got beat from start to finish in this game. Go bucks.

@@sudukemsn HUGE lifelong Michigan fan here, going back to the early 70's. This rivalry has had its momentum shifts, some extending for long periods on both sides. That said, while I have the UTMOST respect for the Buckeyes, I'm not convinced that Day has the mettle to drive a bus full of expectations like OSU, especially when he has to fill the entire bus himself. Everyone - EVERYONE got screwed in 2020 by the stupid virus - might as well just write that season off as a non-event. From this point forward, this is Ryan Day's team, completely. It will be 100% his players, coaches and staff. It will be his 100% responsibility to instill the confidence necessary to win these kinds of games into his young players. That is no small task. I HOPE he is up to the challenge - I really do! That is a pretty big ask of a guy who inherited a superior program for his first head coaching job! College Football is better when BOTH of these teams are successful!

It’s not just that Michigan won, but how they won.
Michigan’s OL annihilated the line of scrimmage today repeatedly, and Ohio St. had no answer.
Ohio St. is a young team, and ridiculously talented, but Michigan is too.
The good news is, this rivalry is back.

We can keep saying they're talented, blah blah, but it's a results-driven business. Need to see it translate on the field on Saturdays. Need the Silver Bullets back. It's a mindset. So hopefully these players go extra reps in the weight room on freezing ass mornings in February with "42-27" on the wall at the Woody.

It was today. Given how bad Harbaugh is, it’ll take more than one game to say that. Simply stated, Harbaugh is nearly incapable of winning big games. He’s 1-5 against Ohio State, 1-4 in bowl games. That makes him 1-9 in big games. I hope TTUN doesn’t embarrass itself next week and embarrass itself if it goes to the CFP.
I wonder if they simply played above their head today because this is the team MSU beat whom Ohio State then blew out.

I was at the game and am a long time Michigan fan. Both Bo and Woody would approve of the game plan implemented by Michigan on Saturday. It was old fashioned "smash mouth" football. Jim Harbaugh had Bo and Mike Ditka as coaches and this is what they did. It's a winning formula and he got back to basics this year. OSU has a very good team and many talented young players like C.J. Stroud. He's an amazing QB and will give Michigan problems for years to come. OSU will make adjustments on defense and be as formidable as ever. No team is preordained to win this big rivalry game. The pendulum swings back and forth.

Michigan fan here. Not rubbing it in, but Michigan won this game because of the Michigan hires in Steve Clinkscale, Mike Hart, Mike MacDonald and Ron Bellamy. These guys came in and Reprogrammed the players mindset and changed the entire culture with Wolverinesfootball. I'd say that's 80% why Go Blue won. The mindset was they were practicing, scrimmaging and playing OSU every snap, every workout, every week of every game. The other 20% was belief and sheer desire. I also think osu players got way to cocky. See you guys next year.

Over the last 20 years we’ve finished with a top 5 recruiting class at numerous times, look at how many 4/5 stars and draft picks we’ve had over that span. Despite all that talent we’ve won ONLY two National Championship in the last 20 years. We consistently underachieve with all the talent and honestly something has to change asap. Especially on the defensive side. It’s extremely annoying seeing Alabama not waste their talent. Fun fact: Since Nick Saban got to Tuscaloosa in 2007, every recruiting class he’s had has won at least one National Championship.

What OSU has done in the past 20 years is incredible, and your success has elevated the play and talent of the Big10. The East Division, especially, is either the best or second best division in all of college football. I think that the Buckeyes have the better team, but the Wolverines just had a better game on Saturday. It’s just the way it goes at times. Best of luck in your bowl game and for next season. Buckeyes’ Defense has been their Achilles' heel throughout the season and that caught up with them in this critical game. That weak Defense allowed Michigan Running back Hassan Haskins to score 5 TDs Rushing, easily!!! You can't go far without a solid Defense.
I had a bad feeling about this season after the unexpected loss to an undermanned Oregon at home, and the coaches did not learn much from that loss or from the difficulties they encountered with Penn State and with Nebraska. As great as the Offense was vs lowly teams, this team as a whole has not been a material for a National Championship, not with such pathetic Defense, and not with lousy schemes and lousy play calling vs strong teams.

May be thats a problem (Training NFL players in the offseason)?
In 2020 we saw multi-year starters regress. Browning misused with his speed and size, which was evident in the senior bowl game. Missed assignments on a consistent bases. Pete Warner was the only bright spot.
Fast forward to 2021. Easily the worst position group, again. Consistent rotation at the position that ultimately had two seniors leave because AL had no clue who to start because none of them stood out, which is an even bigger indictment of the poor job Washington did in getting anyone ready behind the three starting linebackers he inherited when he got the position.. I would argue K'Vaughan Pope showed more promise than Tommy and Cody and played with that edge that is clearly missing. Neither Tommy or Cody been developed properly and have been lost in their run fits and terrible in zone coverage. Where is T. Mitchell? When your best player is a RB converted to LB in Steel Chambers who spent the least amount of time in your room, you have problems.
Al Washington is as close to Ryan Days Bill Davis as possible.

Odd thing about these losses and having faith in the head coach is being excited to see what changes are made. We don’t have to rebuild so it’s just a matter of hoping the coaches and players learn from this and come out even better next year. That’s a long time to wait though

The guys are just as shook as the rest of us… The defense didn’t show up and we got punched in the mouth throughout the course of the game. This was a complete embarrassment, and the rivalry is finally back. Every elite team needs a reality check and we will use this as gas to the flame🔥🔥

Jimmy Lake, Jeremy Pruit, Will Mushchamp all available. Get one of them to coordinate your defense. Coach stud is a good coach, not elite get someone better, you’re Ohio State.

No heart, no toughness, and absolutely NO defense. As far as talent on D.... "Exposed". Talent on OSU defense is lacking and that includes coaching.

Two loss Non conference champs have never and should never be invited to the CFP playoffs simply because they are loaded with hundreds of millions of dollars and a huge alumni fanbase. Congrats to Coach Jim Harbaugh and the Mighty Michigan Wolverines!

The ends did not get any pressure and could not contain. Should have left JT in for more plays.
