  • Water filters work by removing contaminants in the water in different stages as it passes through. In this short video, we take a basic look at those stages in both 3 stage and 5 stage systems.

very nice, I have a question... I live in a big city full of buildings (10-15 floors). The water that we get from the water provider is not recommended for drinking so most people buy water in the supermarket or have their own filter in the kitchen that kind works like a subscription. I went to Germany once and was blown away that they all could drink tap water. =>> Would it be possible to install a filter on the top of every building to clean the water and provide people with safe clean amazing fresh drinking water? The water we currently get is suited for cooking and shower but not drinking, but I'm assuming the process to clean this water isn't so difficult. By installing a big filter on top of every building, people in their apartments shouldn't worry about drinking their tap water.

It is possible but probably not cost-effective for a building owner to provide it. It would be much easier and cheaper for tenants to take care of their own water filtration needs at the outlet, such as countertop or under sink filtration systems for drinking and food preparation, and shower heads for bathing needs. This way, people can also choose the level of filtration they need and have peace of mind that their water is safe. For example, if chlorine is removed prior to the tap, bacteria may form within the plumbing system, as well as other possible contaminants from aging pipes.

It’s funny how we pay for water feeds but it’s never clean even tax doesn’t even cover it 🤡

Do you agree or disagree with the claim that even in places with clean water like Europe and America, is not very safe to drink because of the pharmaceuticals and pesticides?

“The Dose Makes the Poison”. While there may be traces of chemicals and other contaminants present in treated water in countries like Europe, the USA and Australia, they are considered to be harmless to the human body below certain dosages. Here in Australia, I will quite happily drink tap water rather than buy bottled water if I don't have access to a water filter system. However, some substances like PFAS can accumulate in the body, and the percentage of contaminants in water can vary, particularly after natural disasters like floods and bush fires, so I prefer to drink filtered water whenever possible for peace of mind, and for the improved taste.
