Morgan is one of the finest female singers of today she deserves to be globally known! Although i have no idea if she wants that or simply happy the way things are now. She's a trained opera singer schooled at Juilliard however at the time for her gradutation she realized her heart was more Aretha Franklin than Maria Callas so to speak. After the graduation she had to learn how to belt and i'd say she really learned how to do it!

He and Morgan do killer covers of Take Me to Church and Sweet Child of Mine. Morgan and Doug Wamble, her husband and a super guitar player, put out a ton of covers during the quarantine; Bridge over Troubled Waters is one of my favorites. She recently released I'll Be Holding On, an original about taking one last road trip with a friend who has a terminal illness, that'll have you in tears before the first chorus. I've seen her in concert a couple of times now, and can't wait until she's back in town.

I'm starting to love the fact that I'm not into a portion of songs you react to, it makes the ones I am into that much more a special occasion, when I saw this one, I just popped an ice cold Dos Equis lager, sat back, and enjoyed! What's crazy is about 20min ago I was checking out a video of Morgan James and her husband, Doug Wamble (a brilliant jazz guitarist) doing a cover of Elvin Bishop's "Fooled Around & Fell In Love"....Holy sweet spot Batman, was that just scrumptious!!!! This song and the whole album hold such a fond memory for me, in the late 80s, I was in my late teens, and one week a summer the family rented a cabin at a nearby lake, my cousin and me would night fish off the dock and steal a few beers off my uncles boat, and the only cassette tape he had on his boat in this cheap little boom box was this album.
