I RELEASED A NEW SONG: bit.ly/StreamPainting Support me on Patreon: patreon.com/AndreaSilvestro Wow Morgan James KILLED this cover and she's an incredible vocalist. I'd love to hear more by her!! Let me know if you have any specific requests also I'd be so happy if you go listened to my music as well :)
Love your reactions!! Her cover of "Take Me to Church" is AMAZING!!! I really think you'd love it. Thanks for taking all the time and effort to react, edit and post for us!
I've been following Morgan for a couple years and she is one of the greatest female vocalist I've heard in a long time...incredible technique and tone. She has a classical singing degree from Julliard and after graduating she went into musical theater (she was in the Broadway revival of Godspell).
Great reaction as always! Morgan James studied opera at Julliard, but then decided she wanted to more pop stuff (see interview with Elizabeth at Charismatic Voice). Other videos to watch with her include "It's All About That Bass" with PMJ and Haley Reinhart, Also "Dear Prudence" with Haley Reinhart, and if you haven't reviewed it, you must see/hear Haley Renihart singing "Creep" with PMJ. PMJ is amazing and so are you, by the way!!!! Keep up the great work!
Morgan James is a treasure. With that said, Postmodern Jukebox is amazing with their incredible interpretations/arrangements and production values, and of course, the musicianship.
Haley's adaptation of 'Creep' is simply magnificent. There's another very important figure in the PMJ magic, without whom this ensemble wouldn't even exist: Scott Bradlee, the founder of Postmodern Jukebox. This man is a musical genius. All these wonderful arrangements and adaptations are all thanks to him. I can hardly wait to see them again - but fortunately, it's less than two weeks away 🎶
@@jdbroders64Everyone added their piece, just as it should be - perfectly in tune, like a good arrangement. The love for music doesn't just connect people within the concert hall; it also weaves us together in conversations like these.
Excellent reaction. Morgan James the Queen !!! One of her finest interpretations. Extensive classical music training at the Julliard School. Magnificent diction. Phenomenal voice. Perfect arrangement of Postmodern Jukebox.
I knew when you reacted to Morgan you would love her. She is the total package, and throw in Angelina Jordan, sell out in 5 minutes. Morgan is classically trained, and she is outstanding. Your reaction is spot on. Thanks 👍👍
It's when Morgan does that knee lift, you know she's giving it her all. Every video of her has been outstanding whether it is with PMJ or others featuring her. Absolutely love this song in the first place, but with this version it gives it an all new meaning. Her Julliard education has really paid off.

Great reaction. Morgan James is so good on this one. Besides she nails it vocaly, it's remarcable that she deilvers every phrase with intention, emotion and musicality. She never sucumbes on to the temptation of showing off, she is always to the service of the song.
Morgan is Julliard-trained in opera. She decided that she was better at jazz and Broadway-type musicals and did those, instead. She has appeared on Broadway in at least four musicals, including Godspell and Motown, The Musical.
Morgan’s head voice and Haley’s chest voice… 😮💨 It’s why I love that Beatles cover of Dear Prudence with no mics so much. You should definitely react to that.
For this kind of contemporary 20th century American style (Blues, Jazz, Gospel, Soul) I've never heard a better vocalist than Morgan. All that warmth, and soul, and mass in her sound, but at the same time an upper-midrange resonance that has so much clarity and punch. My favorite part of this performance is after the big climactic moment. She's just a little out of breath, and that slight breathlessness makes her voice sound even more amazing.
Great reaction. Check out her duet with Haley Reinhart on Dear Prudence for the very definition of effortless. Just her, Haley, and Doug on guitar, sitting on their couch, absolutely nailing a classic Beatles song.
....a Cello solo break in a rock cover? LUV it........ PMJ "discovers" so many excellent vocalists and Morgan is one of the best.......talented, Julliard trained and versatile
Morgan James is an epic artist, she has several videos out but a fav is one I've already mentioned and another id her cover of "Dear Prudence" a duet with Haley Reinhart.
The first time I heard this cover I just couldn't get Steven Tyler's voice out of my head. It wasn't until I listened for the third time that I could truly appreciate Morgan's cover. I've been a BIG fan of Morgan since 2014 and I absolutely LOVE her!!! Morgan studied opera at Julliard (her classical training is why she has those big pipes) and has performed on Broadway (Motown, The Musical, Godspell, The Addams Family and others). Under the wing of Berry Gordy Jr. (of Motown Records), she was signed under Epic Records and released two albums. She decided to break out on her own and started Hedonist Records LLC as an Indy. No need to apologize for stopping. We have the original to hear and enjoy straight through any time we want. We’re here to learn and understand what makes a song tick, and the pauses to explain are required. You’re one of a small group of folks who do that. A very great review and analysis. I’ll be checking out more of them from you. You might want to check out PMJ’s cover of Meghan Trainor’s “All About that Bass” featuring Morgan James, Haley Reinhart, Ariana Savalas and Casey Abrams in the European Tour version. It’s both well done and quite cheeky. Lots of fun.
Saw her at an outdoor performance with her band about 6 months ago, including her guitarist husband, she is an absolutely stellar talent and performer.
There a fan cam vid of her preforming Take Me to Church live with PMJ and her poise and interaction and control with the audience is stately . She is in her element on stage rather than in front of a camera. During the Covid lockdown her and her guitarist husband Doug Wamble released a music vid a day. She’s a artist that has sidestepped the commercial music business and does it on her own as she wants plus she a activist for women in the music industry with her foundation, she recorded a album of Jesus Christ Superstar with a all female cast, respect ❤️
I saw her and her husband with their band in a venue that seats just under 500 people. If they come anywhere close again, I'll definitely be there and I recommend everyone else do the same. She has a ton of songs on her channel done during the pandemic with just herm her husband, and a few friends who did stop by occasionally. "Do Right Man, Do Right Woman" with her, her husband and Marec Broussard is great along with "Maps" with PMJ.
When you said so animated, it reminded me of Shoshana Bean Singing Make It Rain Live at the Ace Hotel.... a must see if you have not (new to the channel)... shes damn near jumping out of her shoes as it builds. Seriously, a must watch if you enjoyed this. ☮☮ & 💜💜
If you love Morgan, I highly recommend Eva Cassidy's live solo acoustic version of Over the Rainbow. If you don't cry, you don't have a soul especially when you understand the back story of that performance recorded in a club in Washington DC. I'll say no more. Do yourself a favor and watch the angel that is Eva.
Welcome to PMJ, a "musical collective", lead by pianist Scott Bradlee, who does the "retro" arrangements of popular songs. The exact setup varies over time and depending on the arrangement. Always top-notch musicians, not to mention the singers. Oh, my, the singers... Morgan James, Haley Reinhart, Puddles Pity Party, and many more... The basic concept is: Back to the roots; set up the musicians, microphones, a fixed camera, and just do it. No cuts or editing. (Sometimes in a hilariously cramped space, especially the earlier videos which were recorded in Bradlee's apartment.)
Other song title recommendations: "Unchained Melody" by LeAnn Rimes. "If I Didn't Have You" by Amanda Marshall. "Break the Silence" by Alannah Myles. "Long, Long Time" by Linda Ronstadt. "On My Own" by Lea Salonga (from the 10th Anniversary Les Miserables concert). "The Dragonborn Comes" by Malukah. And "Rejoice in the Sun" by Joan Baez (from the 1972 Silent Running film).
Okay kid..., yup caught them 3 years or so back. PMJ & Morgan James! Can't beat their skill sets, talent & her pipes. Now! Are ya ready for her "Take Me To Church?! Whoa! Oh! We can't forget about: PMJ/Haley Reinhart's "Creep" / "Don't Speak".LOL! Don't forget PMJ & the girls, "All About That Bass" I'll stay tuned when you do them! It's worth it! 😉
Cant add more to what others have said. Morgan is one of the greatest Vocalists of our time (speaking from 50 years experience) and can sing literally anything. She has all the Vocal Tools in her tool box but uses them sparingly (only what is needed to convey the songs message) If this shook you, you need to react to her cover of Jeff Buckley's "Grace" (the song not the entire Album which she covered). It is a Master Class performance in Voice & Breath CONTROL. (As a singer you will appreciate it. th-cam.com/video/6Mtvo346onw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=t0yGb2rsUwKeKUc8 Oh, also know that Morgan will _not_ let her voice be digitally manipulated in any way in post production.
Great reaction! I love Morgan James and PMJ. Please also check out Post Modern Jukebox featuring Haley Reinhart covering "Creep" by Radiohead. Haley shows a masterclass in vocal control with this song -- all in one take. Also, Haley and Morgan are great friends and collaborators. Thank you!
Master Class for sure! Seen a bunch of her vids, some not the best use of her tool and talent but she should have been a Household Name by now but sadly not! Takes a lot of elements and luck. Magic is not always enough! Great job Miss Silvestro and good luck with your channel!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
How about "The Best" by Tina Turner. "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin. "Killing Me Softly" by Roberta Flack. "What I Wouldn't Do" by Serena Ryder. "Top of the World" by The Carpenters. "Black Velvet" by Alannah Myles. And "Ashes" by Celine Dion
There is much to complain about all the crap there is on TH-cam. But I would have never heard of fantastic singers like Morgan and SoHyang if it weren't for this site. Another great singer=player is Rhiannon Giddens.
!!!! Hopefully this means you havent seen the PMJ cover of "Creep" with Haley Reinhart?! DEFINTELY do that one as well if not! Both that, and this one are my favorite PMJ covers BY FAR

Yes MJ is absolutely an incredible vocalist, but the musicianns PMJ are great also. Just really terrifically wonderful music experience!
Morgan just cooks! Don't forget Scott Bradlee's arrangements. He's responsible for the near perfect performances.
Morgan's all class… .
💯
Cant add more to what others have said. Morgan is one of the greatest Vocalists of our time (speaking from 50 years experience) and can sing literally anything. She has all the Vocal Tools in her tool box but uses them sparingly (only what is needed to convey the songs message)
If this shook you, you need to react to her cover of Jeff Buckley's "Grace" (the song not the entire Album which she covered). It is a Master Class performance in Voice & Breath CONTROL. (As a singer you will appreciate it.

Oh, also know that Morgan will _not_ let her voice be digitally manipulated in any way in post production.
Great reaction! Check her out covering Maps by Maroon 5!
The Warning: You need to watch "Hell You Call a Dream" one of the best Songs you will ever hear. Dany's Voice goes out of this world.
Classy.
For a different side of Morgan, search for her live rendition of Peter Gabriel's _Sledgehammer_ . You will be happy you did.
My first time I saw Aerosmith was in my HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUM TICKET $5.oo in1975 in Massachusetts
Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
thanks! means a lot
When Steve Tyler retires, Aerosmith can keep on going with Morgan James!
RAYE - Oscar Winning Tears. (Live at the Royal Albert Hall)
You never said, have you ever heard the original? If not you will be stunned.
She studied opera at Julliard, yanno.
I'd love to see you take a look at the original, too, if you have not heard it yet.
MAPS cover by Morgan and PMJ will blow you away
Morgan had to take extra training for belting because she took Opera at Julliard ,
There is much to complain about all the crap there is on TH-cam. But I would have never heard of fantastic singers like Morgan and SoHyang if it weren't for this site. Another great singer=player is Rhiannon Giddens.
I know, right? Whenever I watch one of her performances, I end up saying: "God!", and then I just sigh.
one night she sat there and sang The White Album . find it, thank me later
Take a listen to the Lani Gardner cover of Dreams . Seven Nation Army - Haley Reinhart

Deberias escuchar su versión de "Getsemani" de JesusChrist Superstar. Es parte de una versión de esta opera rock cantada en su totalidad por mujeres.
