Thanks for watching! - บันเทิง
I’m just turned 58 and still want to learn bricklaying - also plastering. I want to buy an old house to renovate myself, possibly somewhere in Spain. Love watching these videos they really inspire me!
Do it!! I bought a run down drug house two years ago and have been renovating it from the ground up. It is the most rewarding, challenging, frustrating and wonderful thing I've ever had the chance to do. I would highly recommend it. I have learned so much. Soon it will be my home. Buy the cheapest, crappiest house you can in the nicest place you can. You'll build it right, because you'll build it twice, as they say!
Thanks Liam, I have already done a lot of interior work on my current house - but nothing such as bricklaying. Your advice is spot on, I bought my current house 8 years ago as a filthy wreck, it was the cheapest house in a good street and I have doubled my money and have not wasted a fortune in rent! I want to look for somewhere in Spain or Italy, preferably with some land. I am planning to retire soon and can’t wait to get started.
You and Liam Grinton are already doing it right because you're following the number 1 rule: buy the shittiest house in the best area. The area you're in is worth 10x the house when it comes to your happiness -- if you live in a mansion but in a shit area, you'll be miserable. I'm about half your age but plan to do same thing somewhere in London zone 1, I'm thinking of buying an old factory/warehouse and doing it up myself.
AJ , go for it. It was not as easy as I thought and the money was a problem but it paid off in the end. I too never learned so much in my life, I ended up teaching myself plumbing and installed all my own pipe work and radiators, only got the gas fitter to do the boiler and hob. Also did the kitchen and installed my own shower with no leaks. The best advice I can give is to take your time and don’t let anyone hurry you. Loads of great instructional videos here if you are stuck.
Also, take all the free advice you can get, but don’t commit to bathroom or kitchen styles until near the end (especially if you plan to sell) as things change so quickly.
I love this!👍👏 The UK bricks are out of this world!
Great Video yet again Stu. I’ve been reasonably successful in my own field of retail and property but would have loved to had a skill like this. Once again well done and continue the great work.
Take it from a family of union bricklayers in the USA, you are probably one of the best I’ve watched, sad to say we are loosing the trade here.
thanks james we can bring it back, or try to
Don't worry James. I'm trying to get more of my gen into it. I'm 19, and work with all these old farts. I refuse to let the American masonry die.
I have work in a few hours and I'm watching a guy lay bricks for the last 3 hours. Love from Canada brother
Hahah thanks buddy
Brick laying isn't actually that fun, but YOU make it look like I should change careers and start brick laying. 😍
never too late to change your career pal
Bricklaying is very hard physical work. When you guys watch this videos. All your seeing are guys just laying a few bricks, taking there time etc. But reality is if you don’t more your ass all day, you’ll go broke. Bricklaying is very rewarding, but not as relaxing as the videos out there.
i agree raff thats why i have shown video of my rolling around in mud on rainy days working in the footings on site with wellies on, i like to show all aspects of the job its not easy and i wont say it is but its rewarding
@@Stucrompton1 true, I just quit my tech job to be realtor and sell some of these gorgeous brick houses. I'll let you create the art.
You've got an awesome channel too Bat City, I expect to see you laying some brick soon
Hi stu love your vids, in the 70s I was a bricklayer apprentice but did not workout I wish I had some one like you to have tort me. All the best ill keep watching your vids brings back memory.
Hey, a bricklayer from Germany here! I' m a bit confused of the british bricklaying technique but it looks really great!
Another great video love these videos shows some of the clips not in the other videos. Another great video before the big bday tomorrow this making me looking forward to getting back on the job with the 5 massive plots to be done.
Good stuff bud have a great week
Love those garden walls Stu, they look mint when done, especially the English bond.
Loved the content. Learned a lot from this project.
It’s so awesome to watch your videos Stu. You’re amazing I can see that you love your profession.
Soooooooo satisfying to see. And do of course. I can't wait for the bricklaying season to be back in Quebec.
I am a 65 year old City & Guilds Bricklayer, taught by my Father in a family firm. I think I am a very good Bricklayer, been at it long enough ha ha...and I know a good Bricklayer when I see one, you are excellent and top drawer Stu

That’s what it’s all about Edd 👍
A fantastic video stu.well done and keep up the good work pal 😁👍🏻
Watching this is strangely therapeutic
*Stu mate, great video but I don't understand one thing ...how did you lay the bricks one on top of each without stacking them directly above each other , in the wall you built the bricks are displaced about halfway of the lower row of bricks ...*
Great video - Great music , but plumbing and heating is best 😁 joking aside Stu you make it look great 👍
outstanding technique beautiful work gents
Beautiful work!!
This guy always does quality work.👍
👍 what did you mix to get the pinky red mortar?
Been watching since the conservatory base in the rain with gaz, 24k gold videos 👍
Cheers Brendan that was my first bricklaying video in 2015 thanks for sticking around pal me and kc appreciate it
What’s material use is it cement ?
Amazing to watch this. Proper pro. 👌👌
Eres un maestro stu , me encanta ver tus vídeos , haces fácil lo difícil. Un saludo desde España crack
brilliant skills!
Is it hard to get a brick laying apprenticeship?
아주 정확하게 잘 쌓으시네요~~^^
Keep them coming Stu
Watched a lot of your videos and you inspired me to have a go - looked like fun! One question tho, when I was trying the mortar wasn’t sticking to the end of the brick, kept just falling off. Any ideas? Ps. You make it look bloody easy! 😂
What's this kind of cement ?
Super nice
Hi sty great video please could you tell me why you cut the mortar on the spot instead of just picking it up. Cheers
You have to work it into a spreadable piece to make spreading easier
Respect !!!
Your mortar looks creamy and easy to keep on the trowel. The bag Type S I was using for block yesterday wouldn't stick and is so much grittier.
Editing skills also stu 🔥👍👍 wicked video
Cheers zeds like to give it my all with everything I do 👍
Thank you , Stu .
Great video mate 👍👍
cheers colin bud
Me gustaría saber las proporciones para que quede la mezcla así
Do you have any suggestions on how to remove an internal abandoned oil furnace chimney. We have a single story home built in 50s in northwest ohio

@How To survive 🙃
@How To survive 😂🤣 yeah quick and easy.
Can you please let us know the music tracks used in this video.
🐘 🥤 mine 😁
Need to get your old man on the trowel and upoload it 👍
@Gazza do you live in a house? Because if you do I am pretty sure you didn't build it yourself confident bricklayers did and without those bricklayers you wouldnt be sitting on your couch in your home without them. So bit more respect please pal.
Beautiful , but где Джеральд - ?
Great video ur videos are so satisfying to watch, brick laying is also fun n satisfying
Thanks billy, I agree, they are relaxing to edit and watch back
😍🥰😍🥰
👌👌
Stu why do the Yanks never clean off face work regards daz
No bricklaying is a MUGS game !!!!
Best mugs Gaz 😂😂
everything is a mug's game if you do not take pride in your work.
stu crompton does.
The muck coming like pure cream
These videos would be far more enjoyable without the added music, the sounds of the trowel (etc) are just fine.
You can subscribe to asmr bricklaying which is no music, this channel is for music and nearly 100k people like the music apologies that you don’t.
Молодец👍
