Dude great job man. new the the channel watched the vid where you where leak testing the tank then jumped to the end. gonna say you one hell of a job on the basement and tank! I have a small basement that I want to do the same, but with salt water fish.
Thank you for being one of the best on TH-cam that has both fresh and salt water tanks! I am putting all of my eggs into one basket in terms of having one big built in tank in my next home instead of having 4 medium sized tanks for multiple reasons. I am torn between salt and fresh water as I have two of both now. If you could only have one tank long term. In your experience would you choose to have a fresh water 300 gallon tank or a FOWLR salt water 300 gallon tank? Thanks!
@@jaxonallredmusic thank you very much. That is a very tough question to answer and of course I’m going to say it is all a matter of personal preference. For me, I have always had both fresh and saltwater tanks because I could never make up my mind which I liked better. The colors and diversity of the saltwater world is incredible, but the saltwater does have some drawbacks. One of the biggest drawbacks for for me with salt water is salt creek all over the place, and being able to control algae effectively and efficiently. At the moment, I am actually just running freshwater tanks as I broke down my 210 salt about a month ago due to the frustration with the above issues I had mentioned. I wanted to do a complete re-scape anyways so I’m sure I will probably end up putting saltwater back into this tank , and set it up again with all new rock, etc.
@@Jetblink619Thank you for the quick response I really appreciate it! I understand what you’re saying as salt water is so amazing but fresh water is just so much easier to maintain and keep looking good. And as this will be a centerpiece in the home I always want it to look clean. So I think that I will go with fresh water as hard as it is to give up salt. Thank you again!
