Red's Eats: Lobster Nirvana (Worth the Wait...and Maybe a Message!)
We came to Maine for a lobster tour and knew a trip to Red's Eats was a must. Our hearts sank when Google said they'd be closed during our visit, but a hail mary message later, our stomachs did a happy dance with a reply! Even with rain, wind, and a long line, the wait flew by. The staff was amazing, offering fantastic lobster kebobs while we waited, and even whipping out umbrellas when the rain started.
Finally, our turn to order! The excitement was real. And then...the lobster roll arrived. Forget the bread, this was a mountain of lobster! Claws and tails draped gloriously over a bed of even more lobster, all nestled in a delicious, buttery toasted roll. Local melted butter on top sealed the deal - pure lobster heaven. This is why they're #1 in Maine!
But wait, there's more! Don't sleep on the fried clams. Whole, perfectly fried goodness with out-of-this-world cocktail sauce and tartar.
Red's Eats is a must-do for any seafood lover visiting Maine. Just be prepared to wait (it's worth it!), and maybe send them a message in advance - you never know!
