That’s how I felt when I was looking for blundstone reviews! I’ve only found one woman’s review, but I wanted to know more and see how they’re styled. I got them for Christmas a few months ago and wear them almost everyday!

Hi! Very good review. I've been using Blundstones for years, and I use a shoehorn, when putting them on. I think it's better for both boots and back 😘

Just got mine because of this review ❤ thanks super helpful! I wasn’t looking for big scientific boot comparisons with other brands of boots like lots of reviews were doing but Your talk about like everyday wear and how they style is perfect and what I wanted to see too! And the fact you tried a few styles of Blundstone helped me pick this style. I was having a hard time picking I’m the same in that I spend so long researching stuff before buying lol this video drastically cut that time down

Did you find the shaft of the boot was higher than the classic? I have the classic and want to get the dress, but had read somewhere it was higher on the leg

I know exactly what you mean! When I knew that I wanted Blundstone boots - because they were recommended by Rose Anvil here on TH-cam - there was not much female perspective to guide me in terms of sizing, comfort and styling. I have a minimal, androgynous wardrobe so that was why I chose the dress boot in black.
Here are my takes from owning a pair of dress boots for about 3 months now:
    1. I did have to size down in mine... I am a true, narrow EU 38/UK 5/US 7 and I had to get an EU 37/UK 4/US 6.
    2. They do make my feet sweat A LOT when worn for an extended amount of time. I think the leather is just too thick which makes them “non breathable”. So these would not make great summer boots. Which is a bummer.
    3. They are very, very comfortable.
    4. I would still recommend them. They are an investment and a true wardrobe staple.

Thanks so much for adding your experience with the boots! And glad I'm not alone in my reaction about a lack of female perspective on these :)

Thankyou for your review. I too put considerable research into most purchases. I did purchase these boots last year and was so pleased with everything about them I purchased a pair for my daughter too. I love them. I was very surprised with how comfortable they were right out of the box. I definitely recommend!

I just bought the high tops for women and love them. Ridiculously hard to put on and take off at first, but just in the first day I'm already able to walk a mile to the store and back, and take them off with relative ease. I ordered my true size and they're just right. I wear 3/4 orthotics without issue at all. I'm a fan for life.

I'm a man and I bought the "Dress Chelsea Boots Adulte 1306", I recommand one size to one size and a half down, they are just perfects and suit as well a woman as a man. They do look chunky not like your usual chelsea boots, but you feel that it's a long-lasting item. Only small complain that I have for now (1 week of use), is that the back of my heel is rubbing against the back of the boots what is unpleasant (for long walks), but I think that's only because my socks are too thin, so I can recommand wearing two socks or thicker ones!

  • @21earlthepearl

I don’t have wide feet but I bought the half size for extra room because it was way too tight on the top of my foot, like you mentioned you experienced too.

As a minimalist, I loved your perspective on the boots. I recently bought the rustic brown lace up boots and love them. I'm now going to buy the black dress boot. I'm an Aussie and will be heading to Tasmania where they are based in a couple of weeks.

Thank you for this review! I also struggled with the fact that there are no videos from a woman's perspective about these boots, even though a lot of women wear them. In fact, I see more women wear them than men, but I guess women just don't care about making videos on something like this lol.
I got the classics and I actually hated them because the shape and sizing just doesn't go with my foot. I've always been been an US 8 in everything, and yet the AUS 5 (US 8, supposedly) was a little too short for me, but the US 9 was gigantic in both length and width. Also, one one of the shoes in size 8 would be tight width wise and the other one would be normal. This is an issue with the consistency of their sizing because I got multiple 8 pairs to test, and it always alternated as to which side felt tight... So I gave up on that style and I just ordered the dress ones because I hear those fit a little longer. But I am worried because I have thick ankles, so I don't know how that's going to work...

I've been using Redback boots for many consecutive years, which are way less dress-appropriated yet amazingly comfortable. After my latest pairs' outer sole giving in, I searched for the next boots that could spoil my feet and even considered laced boots. Well, two midnights ago, I decided to order the Blundstone 558 in black and I'm actually excited to try them out after owning my first and last pair of Blundstones 12 years ago!😆 Loved your review, your honesty and simplicity! Really enjoyed your video and music! 👍🏼

  • @sachithmalalagama7166

    I bought a pair recently.
The insole has no cushioning at all (it’s just a 1.25mm thick fabric liner).
Underneath that there’s a cork layer.
While the sole itself is supposed to be a Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) outer shell with softer inner, it’s actually very stiff.
Overall, the cushioning is horrendous (and I compare with my Salomon X Ultra, R.M. Williams comfort craftsman, adidas Terrex Swift).
If you’re planning to do a lot of walking in these, probably better to go with a different pair.

I love my blundstone boots! I have two pair now - the first pair are the classic brown, round toe and are 7.5 years old! They are still in great shape and I wear them regularly! The second pair are the same boots you feature in this video! I invested in these because I wanted something a little more dressy to wear to the office and knew they were reliable.
One tip for cold toes is to buy the sheepskin insoles for winter! You just swap out the current insole with the sheepskin in colder months. To be honest I leave them in year round and am going to buy a second set of insoles for my dress boot.

I know you did this video to give a female perspective but as a male I also found it useful. There are very few reviews of the dress boots either gender. I'm looking at getting a dark brown pair as well as a black pair. I wanted to see them against jeans and thanks to your video I did. I started off looking at RM Williams boots but soon discovered that the price tag was ridiculous $1000 and my goodness they are so uncomfortable. I tried on blundstone dress boots and wow they were so comfortable, no wearing in. And the price AU $159 compared to AU$1000 why wouldn't you buy these. Thanks for the video.

Hi! Your video helped me a lot. I've been using my Blunnies for 3 weeks now. And it's a wonder! 😍 I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I used it during my recent Baltimore and NYC trip. I had to walk for more than 12 hours and my feet never hurt. I didn't need to break in the boots prior to my trip. I also have knee problems and it didn't bother them while using the boots.
If you are watching this YT video and wondering if you should buy a pair, I say yes go ahead. It's worth the money. I've watched a lot of videos talking about the cons of this brand. Hmmmm! I think, the pros outweighs the negatives.

I’ve been wanting blundstones for 2-4 years now, I ended up buying a pair of doc marten work boots instead, because they were on sale for only 80$ and have worn them everyday straight for about three years now. This video, especially the parts when I can see you walking in them has made me decide on this style, they look the most like my docs but a bit fancier which I love. I am a true 6 1/2 woman’s leaning on the wider side, I’ve considered driving 20 minutes away to boot barn to see if I can try some on before I make this investment, does anybody know if boot barn has blundstones or of any other places that might carry them?

    • @droid2D2C3P0
      @droid2D2C3P0 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The leather will stretch over your foot but the length won't really change. You generally want them to feel kinda tight around your foot when you first get them because over the first 1-2 months they'll loosen but I wouldn't recommend starting with your toes hitting the end. Which is exactly what she explained in the video

    • @orlog3343

Boots will never stretch in length, only in width by a few millimetres. Extra insoles can make a loose fitting shoe better, blundstone always gives an extra insole for this reason
