Fantastic vlog ladies it was a sheer pleasure to watch, and naming all the wild flowers and fauna is an extra bonus keep up the good work looking forward to your next one.
Thanks so much James! Oh wow Great Gray Owls would be incredible, we'd love to see them one day too. Short eared owls are so wonderful to watch, so pleased you got to see them! 🦉
Thank you Dale! This one was particularly special for us, any time spent with owls is an absolute joy but getting to see them this active was really magical! 🦉 😀
Amazing footage of the Owls, glad you managed to see a couple of them. But even if you didn’t, like you say just being out in nature is a treat in itself. Also the drone shots were beautiful too. Great video.👍
Wow that's brilliant, so close to driving off and missing all that lovely owl footage. Your videos are superb, really high quality camera work. Look forward to following your next adventure😊
As George Peppard would say (probably way before your time but he was Hannibal from the 80’s TV show The A Team) “Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together?” Excellent stuff, well done. I’m now a subscriber & I have seen all 5 of the UK’s owls, & am constantly out in the wilderness watching one species or another. Keep on keeping on! Best, Nick
Wow thank you so much Nick! I follow your instagram so have seen your wonderful owl pictures (as well as all the others!), we’re still on the hunt for the elusive LEO as it’s the one we’ve never seen 😅 So pleased you enjoyed the video and thank you so much for subscribing! 🦉 😀
This is a lovely experience you have shared. I'm in the same local area. On Friday, I sat on the path there for an hour, watching the golden light fade as my legs went numb! Barny finally showed up and flew along the path towards me but it was too dark for the camera. Very frustrating but still exciting to watch. Another flew over my head in my torch light on the walk back. Next season I think..
So glad you enjoyed the video Paul! Sounds like you had a lovely encounter! It definitely gets more difficult now with the light setting earlier, wonderful to see them though 😀 fingers crossed you get some on camera soon! 🤞 🦉
How fantastic for you both! I’m overjoyed you both could experience this, made my day. Your videos are so well done, please keep making more. Your friend from the States!
What a magical experience, thank you so much for sharing it with us, the audience. I think barn Owls are my favourite of the British owls. It is great to see you are still going after your goal for this year.. it must be difficult finding these allusive animals. I don’t know anything about film making at my age but yours are getting better and better. Thank you
Wow Mark we are very jealous 😅 the LEO is the one owl neither of us have even seen let alone photographed or filmed! Hoping we can still find one by the end of the year 😀
@@AWilderLife This is the first time I have managed to get the long eared 🦉. Shorties we have a few in our area we can get regularly. Barn owls that is a hole other story, not very many up here . Keep up the good work . Great video
Great video, super footage of the Barn Owls, we only have two native species in Ireland, Barn Owl and Long Eared Owl, both of which i've seen and photographed, then we have our seasonal visitor, the Short Eared Owl, that I've also been lucky to photograph
Thank you so much Derek! We are desperate to see the Long Eared Owl it’s the one neither of us have ever seen! SEOs are a lovely winter visitor here too, hoping to see more later this year 😀
What a lovely film. The video work is amazing. We are super lucky to have barn owls and tawny owls in the trees in our garden. We provided them a home/box and it’s taken nearly two years but this year we were rewarded with 5 barn owlets in the box. We have cameras inside and out but can’t ever capture the dusk flying our kit isn’t good enough. They are mesmerising to watch. If you are ever in Oxfordshire and want to film let me know! 😊 great work and super glad to have found your channel.
Wow Grant you have some fantastic garden lodgers! Thank you so much for your kind words and we’ll be sure to reach out if we’re in Oxfordshire that’s very kind of you! 😀 so glad you enjoyed the video!
Wow awesome footage! Glad yall were able to see this so close 🤍 my favorite is the saw whet and flammulated but i havent seen either one 😅. Plenty of great horned, barred, and screech owls here where i live
Thank you Ivan! We would LOVE to see a Saw Whet Owl one day they are super cute! Hopefully one day we can visit the US and find some of the amazing owls there! 🦉
