Most of king cobras aren't aggressive towards humans because they are quite intelligent and feed exclusively on other snakes. That said, it is still extremely risky without having anti venom on hand.
This guy came down to earth with predispositions to understand this snake. Very few people on earth can afford to handle such a close, royal cobra full of venom. And gaining the trust of such a fearful animal is a gift

Of course it s possible. It s not against the laws of physics. All animals can choose not to bite. The issue isnt posibility... it s danger. There s no margin for error. It is UNBELIEVABLY hard to gain the trust of a venomous snake. They are just always so high-strung and primed for violence. This is not something you can do with any venomous snake. Many snakes are WAY too reactive to movement to even begin developing a relationship with. This guy is unbelievably skilled, and is also lucky to have snakes that can be calm enough to learn. EDIT: The issue with maintaining the trust is if they get defensive or scared for any reason, it can reset all of the progress you have made. It can set you back MONTHS of socialization effort. Socialization for venomous snakes generally means having them trust you enough not to try to kill you every chance they get. THIS VIDEO is so beyond incredible. King Cobras are very intelligent snakes, while they are very dangerous, they get used to the presence of their owners and don't see them as a threat. The King Cobra's intelligence and confidence is what separates it from other snakes, and they seem to know that they are the King! All hail Ophiophagus hannah, King of the snakes!
What incredible animals. I love the garter, gopher, and king snakes we have around here but these cobras are really special!
Love how Katie shows you trust. You have made it know that they are not to be trusted because they are reptiles. Trust fir humans is earned.
Dang Chris, Oracle is soooo beautiful!!! King cobras have the most beautiful scale structure on their heads, and Katie has really beautiful eyes!!! P.S your narration in this video is THE BEST!!!❤
HABLAN DEMASIADO ATURDEN
Aww cute
Chris sweeet, how are you? I really look upto you and envy you. I love these animals and have so much respect for them and you. I also love your narration and voice is soothing. You shout definitely do more videos. Its also awesome your passion for these animals and the way you respect and handle them. Between you and davidsfeed i learn so much. I hope one day to talk to you like i did briefly with davidsfeed. Thanks for taking the time to read this and do a video for all of us.
Chandler's Malaysian King is pretty relaxed too, can't help but wonder if that species is more relaxed or can actually form a bond or at least a trusting relationship with humans..
Beautiful snake and great video to boot!
Keep it up!
I think all localities should be able to get this relaxed, would love to try with all 😅
This was actually amazing to watch! It's almost unreal! Being in the presence of a king cobra and not having the hood pop would be all I needed to smile. Absolutely astounding
You my friend are one of the blessed few, able to interact with these guys like that. Very cool; stay safe. ❤
Awesome video Chris I always thought you had the coolest stuff in your collection so much variety .. I mean an ant colony haven’t seen many lol .. but the kings that you have are just so precious and healthy due to your awesome care for these animals .. thanks for the video!
Awwwwwwwwww! Cute king cobra you know what I have one too but it’s a boy and he always come to my bed when I was sleeping aww!
Your cobras are amazing and so well mannered to you! I've always enjoyed the cuteness of these venomous snakes but I will never touch one myself lol.
This dude needs way way more subscribers. Well made, well done, funny, knowledgeable. You should have a million plus subs bro. Good luck. Im cheering for you
Had a rescued diamondback that I calmed down and she became a sweetheart. Thanks for the video brother
Jesus, your cobras are so calm. They’re so cute tho 🙂
“The butler” 😂 lol so cool & brave of you!!
“Aka the butler” part got me 😂 Also I wonder if Kings or snakes experience any type of ASMR lol. It kind of seems like Katie got goosebumps when you put her at 4:31 and she popped her hood out lol
Its dubbed over its him itching her on the back of the hood
Stew Matter Yes I know that. I accidentally said “put” instead of “pet”
I...don’t really think snakes are into ASMR 😅 if that’s the case then it would be a great tool to use against my cranky snakey puffadder.
they can't hear
Beautiful boy. How patient and understanding.
That was the slowest most gentle bite I've EVER seen King make😮... awesome
