I just tried a small one, 4ponds vs 3 rabbit hutch, now I have so many spare eggs that i left some to rot! Usually i got my eggs from hounds and spiders' monster meat, this one is much faster and easier! Thanks!! Btw i died once lol 😂

Not what the items are or how they work, but how to actually use them well, what do people actually do to preserve their long-term world? How do you get rid of the resurrecting in the dark problem, the monkeys stealing your life giving amulet problem, the beard hair being very hard to collect for a long while problem, the short timer to get to a resurrecting option problem... What exactly do good back-up plans in case of death actually look like? I keep losing 100+ days world to this issue

As for the monkeys, it's not the splumonkeys that give me headaches, it's the pirate monkeys, whether in raids or on the Moon Quay Island, as there is not enough room to kite, they drop cursed trinkets that stun you and thus allow them to get on you and stunlock you, and they're seriously tanky and good at kiting. I've picked Wendy in my latest world just so I can have Abigail destroy the little shits x)
I dont like putting lots of bunny house around BQ because it feels like im wasting a lot of resources even though BQ drops are really good (in the end i didnt feel like using the jellybeans because feeling its too precious to be used lol). This bunny vs frog farm seems promising and giving lots in return, will try it, thanks! :)

I like being wurt for fun on solo worlds and its nice when you have around 20-30 warrior merms (depending if you want to fight or not) and they solo every seasonal boss for me and bee queen and dragon fly I just watch as they chase them down its pretty funny tbh and then when i finish the fight and they throw up after I kill a fish
So anyways I usually deconstruct bq crowns and jelly beans are my healing that I use if i get smacked below 200 hp bc im too lazy to use my healing salves even though you can easily amass hundreds if you put four tier three nests by your warrior house so everyday at noon merms and spiders have a war... anyways use bunny houses to farm bq if youre trying to late game because its a very resource efficient way of killing her due to not needing to do any more prep after actually setting up the farm yk yk👍👍

I agree with setting up lots of bunny houses to fight BQ for long term world, the set up is only 1x, and we can use bunny puff / carrots from fallen bunnymen to build more bunny houses 😄👍 and for this bunny frog farm 😆😂😁👍
This frog pond biome it's an optional biome that may spawn on your world or not, so you have some options to spawn this biome: - There's a mod called Force Biomes, with this you can perfectly control what biomes you want to guarantee in your world, what biomes randomly spawn and biomes that you don't want to spawn; - If you already generated the world, use the console command: c_spawn("pond"). This will spawn the ponds so you can mimic the biome on some place in the world. Also, put the mouse on a pond and write c_select():Remove() to remove the pond if you do something wrong.

For a good way to get gunpowder : - Charcoal : we can get lots of it from burning trees in forest (where there are lots of spider nest and some pig houses, but make sure we already hammer the pig houses before burning the trees 😄) - Rotten egg : we can trade frog legs to egg and let them rot (but keep the eggs in chest because pig / hound / pengulls will eat the eggs left on the floor), or we can mutate a bird with essence made from lunar island that will immediately give us rotten egg when we feed it with egg / any meat, but this is more on late game content, will explain more of it if you are interested 😄) - Nitre : we can mine Boulders and get 1-2 nitre, but the fastest way is using Wilson to trade frog legs to egg (with birdcage), then trade egg to gold with pig king, then transmute 2 golds to 1 nitre Skool 😄😊 Btw using gunpowder on boss fight is a bit tricky, remember dont place the gunpowder too near the boss because burning damage when we set the gunpowder can make the boss awaken from Pan flute's sleep , lemme know if you have any question kayy 😄

I did not think about the burning damage waking them up, thats smart! I also had no idea about a bird cage that could give rotten eggs. ahh I love Wendy and Abigail! they are my favorite DST characters 🤗 for birdcage that can give immediate rotten egg , here are the steps Skool : 1. Before starting the game, turn on Hallowed Nights Event from World Setting (a.k.a Halloween) 2. There will be a new Mad-scientist machine we can craft (on Science tab) 3. Craft it, then go to Lunar island, chop 1 tree to get 1 lune tree blossom and caught 1 butterfly 4. back to Mad-scientist machine, now we can craft "Steeped lunar essence" that when use on Bird , will morph them into "moon-bird" that will drop rotten egg when feed it meat 😀 Welcome as always Skool 😁
wow this is a year old, but def still viable just made it on my mega world and it worked perfectly since I have weird buggy ponds that are on top of each other
Man that is a very good strategy, IF you can actually get bunny hutches built in the first place. The developers made it near impossible to make the bunny hutches now, as the bunny fur is a super rare drop now compared to before... I like to go kill a ton of spiders, and make a ton of werepigs that I kill for meat, so I get both meat and monster meat, as well as pigskin in large supplies. If I manage to find a lone pond to live nearby, I can also get easy frog legs every day, and that means I can combine 1 meat, 1 monster meat, and 2 frog legs for an easy and most efficient meaty stew possible. Alternatively, you can turn meat or left over monster meat into eggs, and then put 2 eggs, 1 frog legs, and 1 meat/monster meat for the most efficient bacon and eggs possible.
Hi Lone Wolf, actually we can make at least 8 rabbit hutch from destroying the rabbit hutch in the cave, and yes the bunny fur drop rate is nerfed to 25% now, but still it's possible to keep getting bunny fur to build more rabbit hutches in the future. Usually I got more than 20+ bunny fur after running this farm for 1 season 😄 Farming spider to generate lots of meat from werepig is good too, especially if we use Wendy or maxwell or winona'a catapult 😄👍 thanks for sharing Wolf! @@Wattata888 I find it really easy to kill tons of spiders at once using old age Wanda, especially with the alarming clock. 😂 And thanks, nobody's ever complimented my nickname/username before. And yeah I guess I didn't mention how you can go into the caves and find bunny villages to hammer down. As hammering gives you half the resources to make a house, you can easily convert 2 of the cave hutches into 1 of your own perfectly placed hutches. But thanks for letting me know that you don't have much trouble getting more rabbit hutches using your method, it's definitely something to consider. Oh and also with my strategy, if you manage to get honey, you can also make REALLY easy honey ham with 2 frog legs, and a meat/monster meat, or a meat, monster meat, honey, and a filler.

Since this design shares so many similarities with the bunnyman/spider farm, it could probably be adapted to farm spiders simultaneously just by throwing a couple extra rabbit hutches in as a safeguard.
Good idea Hoagie, however the spiders might eat meat / monster meat / frog legs that left on the floor, and if the spider den happen to become spider queen, the bunnymen might lose. And the bunnymen might spread a bit too far from the bait area that keep them out in the day to fight the frogs.. but good idea my friend , i will think of a way to reduce the loss while able to farm spiders efficiently 😄👍
I thought about the details more and this is what I came up with, maybe you can make use of this. From what I understand, with the current bunnymen/spider farm setups as long as there are at least 7 bunnymen that can be dedicated to the spider farm/spider queen, they can manage existing spiders effectively that monster meat isn't all eaten, and they can kill the spider queen. This assumes she's attacked when she spawns, but because this frog farm keeps the bunnymen out at all times this dilemma is solved as long as enough bunnymen are alive. And regarding keeping enough bunnymen to handle the spiders, that ties in with the other advantage of combining these farms, which is that spiders and frogs work on different cycles of the day. Because of this, the chances of the bunnymen getting overwhelmed by a hoard and/or losing out on some frog legs to spiders is minimal, and limited to the brief transition period from day to dusk where the bunnymen are finishing off the last frogs as the spiders come out for the evening. But since there's likely only going to be a few frogs alive at best at that specific moment in time, there's barely going to be any overlap between frogs and spiders if enough bunnymen are present to be handling existing spawns. Essentially by combining these two farms, in theory it should remove the downtime bunnies have during the evening, just straight up increasing productivity.

Hello Voca (or Voca Do? 😄) Wilson can make new shadow armor (called Dreadstone Helm / Dreadstone Armor), from Pure Horror and Dreadstone. Currently these 2 items are dropped from new boss : Nightmare Werepig. So Wilson cannot make the Dreadstone Armor / Helm from nightmare fuel yet, hopefully in the future he can! 😄😊 Cool nickname btw! 😄👍

Yes Ellie, I couldnt believe it too when I know Wilson can transmute gold to nitre, nowadays I can kill beequeen and FW easily using Wilson 😂😁 I think the purpose is to help newbies survive the game easier, so they can make endothermic fire from gold to nitre (in case they run out of nitre), and in similar situation when they lack of certain material (like, need twig for torch, then they transmute log to twig) For us experienced players, this means itz time to kickass some bosses! 😆😁

Yes we should build a base nearby this farm as it solve our hambat / meat / gold problem, and even help us to gather bunny puff to make more Rabbit Hutch for future use (in case we want to build 20-30 Rabbit Hutch to fight bee queen). And the good thing is, frog ponds set piece usually located near Florid postern / game entrance, and there will be a wormhole and sinkhole nearby the frog ponds for travelling around easier 😄😊

Hi Tep 😄 for now the way to farm nitrate / nitre is to destroy petrified trees (some trees will randomly turn to "stone" starting from day 44th onwards), these petrified trees will drop nitre when mined, but we can just bring a Bearger to chase us around the petrified trees, faster mining them hehe 😄😁 The other way is using Wilson to Transmute 2 Gold nuggets into 1 Nitre, using the Frog and Bunnyman Farm will help gather frog legs fast, then change it to egg with the Birdcage, then trade the egg for gold nugget with Pig King 😄

one more thing is that 4 frog legs can make meatballs (the best hunger crockpot dish) because of the food/meat value of 0.5

Btw using gunpowder on boss fight is a bit tricky, remember dont place the gunpowder too near the boss because burning damage when we set the gunpowder can make the boss awaken from Pan flute's sleep , lemme know if you have any question kayy 😄

I did not think about the burning damage waking them up, thats smart! I also had no idea about a bird cage that could give rotten eggs. 1. Before starting the game, turn on Hallowed Nights Event from World Setting (a.k.a Halloween)
2. There will be a new Mad-scientist machine we can craft (on Science tab)
3. Craft it, then go to Lunar island, chop 1 tree to get 1 lune tree blossom and caught 1 butterfly
4. back to Mad-scientist machine, now we can craft "Steeped lunar essence" that when use on Bird , will morph them into "moon-bird" that will drop rotten egg when feed it meat 😀

Man that is a very good strategy, IF you can actually get bunny hutches built in the first place. The developers made it near impossible to make the bunny hutches now, as the bunny fur is a super rare drop now compared to before...
I like to go kill a ton of spiders, and make a ton of werepigs that I kill for meat, so I get both meat and monster meat, as well as pigskin in large supplies. If I manage to find a lone pond to live nearby, I can also get easy frog legs every day, and that means I can combine 1 meat, 1 monster meat, and 2 frog legs for an easy and most efficient meaty stew possible. Alternatively, you can turn meat or left over monster meat into eggs, and then put 2 eggs, 1 frog legs, and 1 meat/monster meat for the most efficient bacon and eggs possible.
Hi Lone Wolf, actually we can make at least 8 rabbit hutch from destroying the rabbit hutch in the cave, and yes the bunny fur drop rate is nerfed to 25% now, but still it's possible to keep getting bunny fur to build more rabbit hutches in the future. Usually I got more than 20+ bunny fur after running this farm for 1 season 😄

And yeah I guess I didn't mention how you can go into the caves and find bunny villages to hammer down. As hammering gives you half the resources to make a house, you can easily convert 2 of the cave hutches into 1 of your own perfectly placed hutches. But thanks for letting me know that you don't have much trouble getting more rabbit hutches using your method, it's definitely something to consider.
Oh and also with my strategy, if you manage to get honey, you can also make REALLY easy honey ham with 2 frog legs, and a meat/monster meat, or a meat, monster meat, honey, and a filler.

Since this design shares so many similarities with the bunnyman/spider farm, it could probably be adapted to farm spiders simultaneously just by throwing a couple extra rabbit hutches in as a safeguard.
Good idea Hoagie, however the spiders might eat meat / monster meat / frog legs that left on the floor, and if the spider den happen to become spider queen, the bunnymen might lose. And the bunnymen might spread a bit too far from the bait area that keep them out in the day to fight the frogs.. but good idea my friend , i will think of a way to reduce the loss while able to farm spiders efficiently 😄👍
I thought about the details more and this is what I came up with, maybe you can make use of this. From what I understand, with the current bunnymen/spider farm setups as long as there are at least 7 bunnymen that can be dedicated to the spider farm/spider queen, they can manage existing spiders effectively that monster meat isn't all eaten, and they can kill the spider queen. This assumes she's attacked when she spawns, but because this frog farm keeps the bunnymen out at all times this dilemma is solved as long as enough bunnymen are alive. And regarding keeping enough bunnymen to handle the spiders, that ties in with the other advantage of combining these farms, which is that spiders and frogs work on different cycles of the day. Because of this, the chances of the bunnymen getting overwhelmed by a hoard and/or losing out on some frog legs to spiders is minimal, and limited to the brief transition period from day to dusk where the bunnymen are finishing off the last frogs as the spiders come out for the evening. But since there's likely only going to be a few frogs alive at best at that specific moment in time, there's barely going to be any overlap between frogs and spiders if enough bunnymen are present to be handling existing spawns. Essentially by combining these two farms, in theory it should remove the downtime bunnies have during the evening, just straight up increasing productivity.

Currently these 2 items are dropped from new boss : Nightmare Werepig. So Wilson cannot make the Dreadstone Armor / Helm from nightmare fuel yet, hopefully in the future he can! 😄😊

I think the purpose is to help newbies survive the game easier, so they can make endothermic fire from gold to nitre (in case they run out of nitre), and in similar situation when they lack of certain material (like, need twig for torch, then they transmute log to twig)
For us experienced players, this means itz time to kickass some bosses! 😆😁

Yes we should build a base nearby this farm as it solve our hambat / meat / gold problem, and even help us to gather bunny puff to make more Rabbit Hutch for future use (in case we want to build 20-30 Rabbit Hutch to fight bee queen).
And the good thing is, frog ponds set piece usually located near Florid postern / game entrance, and there will be a wormhole and sinkhole nearby the frog ponds for travelling around easier 😄😊

How to farm nitrate
Hi Tep 😄 for now the way to farm nitrate / nitre is to destroy petrified trees (some trees will randomly turn to "stone" starting from day 44th onwards), these petrified trees will drop nitre when mined, but we can just bring a Bearger to chase us around the petrified trees, faster mining them hehe 😄😁
The other way is using Wilson to Transmute 2 Gold nuggets into 1 Nitre, using the Frog and Bunnyman Farm will help gather frog legs fast, then change it to egg with the Birdcage, then trade the egg for gold nugget with Pig King 😄
