My memory of McDonald’s was my grandfather who didn’t speak English would take me and the only thing he could order was “Fishy”. For the longest time I thought all McDonalds sold was Fish sandwiches. Lol
"Giant plate of biscuits and gravy for like 3 bucks" got my attention. I will even eat the crappy stuff in hotel free breakfast buffets. God how I love biscuits and gravy.

Biscuits and gravy have a special place in my heart and taste buds sooooo just in case anyone cares……
The gas station QuickTrip aka “QT” has a ‘kitchen’ in most locations, and they have pretty freaking great (and definitely affordable) biscuits and gravy. Plus if you order through the app they’ll bring it to your car curbside or even at one of the fuel pumps.
ALSO, if you’re blessed enough to live near a Whataburger, they too have biscuits and gravy that are scrumptious considering their price point.

Surprisingly, tacos are REALLY big in the Nordics. They have taco Friday here in Norway, its become like a cultural thing now lol

Hope it's not as bad as the stuff they got in France, I've seen a review of a couple of French restaurants that sell "tacos" and it's worse than taco bell.

This is a really cool idea. It does seem like they are picking the laziest international items to feature though. The ones that are basically just regular burgers with a different sauce or whatever. How about the shrimp burger from Japan, the McAloo from India, or some of the chicken items from the Middle East?
That would take actual effort.

@@RexZShadow This would take a cost benefit analysis in terms of supply chain & shipping costs to bring a miniscule amount (compared to what regular American McDonald's serve per day) of food to be able to provide any international item.

If more items are added then the menu will be less streamlined and it will take longer to process orders, so it’s not as efficient. Also, the workers will have even more stressful jobs and it’s a tough enough job as it is
for the price of McDonald's these days(Well here anywhere), they need to start making food to a higher standard.
I’m loving this Mike!!!! Everytime you land in Chicago or have a connecting flight there you should try to do more of these global menu items at this McDonald’s. This is so interesting

I live in Japan and have never seen Matcha Oreo Mcflurry at Mickie D's also in Japan, we have Shaka Shaka fries with the spice packet. I think McD's makes up the international menu.

They have them during the christmas season. Only for 2 years now but they're nothing special honestly 😂

I agree Mike. The bacon on a Big Mac should be standard as well as bringing back the actual "big mac" size. I also love sweet potato fries and I woul love to try that blueberry cream pie as well.
did they shrink the Big Mac or did the portion size increase every where else? Maybe that was considered big back in the 70s
The crispy chicken in The Netherlands has a different chicken patty. This just seems like the regular mc chicken patty 😌 and the sweet potato fries were only on the menu for like 6 months a few years back lmao
The Homestyle Crispy Chicken, it's supposed to be a whole chicken breast, not the ground up reformed chicken patty.
I just reacted the same about the chicken patty hahah, and also the sauce looks different.. He should try it over here! 🤗

Funny you mention the starlight soda because my mom’s kind of addicted to it. Well the Coke Zero version. Also the bottle version is only sold on it’s own at convenience stores and places like Walmart because the can version is mini can only.
Mike…you sir are the only person on this planet I would pay to watch eat. I normally think it’s disgusting to watch people shovel food in their mouth but you are the best. The absolute best!, one of my best friends managed Mickey dees and graduated from Hamburger University with honors.
Just had the Burger king Double Pastrami burger, probably the best fast food burger I ever had. Paired with Chili cheese fries, onion rings, chili cheese nuggets and Camembert donuts. Really nice.

Here is a tip for always getting fresh fries at fast food places. Order them with no salt. When fast food places do fries, they will put salt on them immediately. So if you order them without salt they have to cook a fresh batch for you. Best for the slow times only. If they are busy than you are guaranteed to get them fresh.
You are not going to get juicy burgers from McDonalds. At least from an American McDonalds. They use a clamshell grill. That dries out the patty. Unlike Wendy's which uses what is called a wet grill. That leaves some of the juices from the burger on the grill to keep them juicy.
If you get shaker fries be sure to order unsalted fries as the seasoning powder is already salty enough
Mike important question...how does Hong Kong Mcspicy fare against Singapore's Mcspicy?
I found the spicy chicken in hongkong and Singapore very simlar, same spice juicy thigh, and yum spice.
Unfortunately the chicken spicy mc spicey in NZ is still thigh, juicy with extra crunch and bit more spicy, but the flavour is not the same, I prefer from hongkong and Singapore

Just a tip on the fries and this is for anyone , ask them to cook fresh fries for you. They have to , I worked as a manager for years when I was younger. Anytime a customer asked for fresh fries or a fresh topping of any sort we had to make it
Never knew the homestyle chicken was a Netherlands special. The mustard mayo is surprising when you not expect it. Stroopwafel mcflurry should have been there or the mckroket.

Biscuits & Gravy are my Kryptonite! If you're not from the Midwest or South, it's hard to explain the beauty in its simplicity.
Mikey never has enough gravy. Biscuits have to be swimming in gravy.
From southern Missouri. Biscuits and Gravy was a staple at almost every single breakfast I had. Even more so if I visited my Grandparents.
Need lots of crumbled sausage in that gravy as well for it to be top notch. Yum! Always thought biscuits and gravy was strictly southern though.

You should check out Connie's Pizza while you are in Chicago! The pizza is great and their Caesar salad is incredible! I would recommend calling in and making a reservation if you do!
I live 10 minutes away and never visited, I might actually make a trip after seeing this video! Also the Korean bbq places in wicker park are pretty good too! Chinatown is fantastic but next time you visit def wicker!

It is about a 10 minute walk from my apartment. Can you believe I have never been in there? But after seeing you enjoying those pies, I will be walking over there. Thanks for the recommendation.

My local mcdonalds offers Bacon bigmacs aswell as mcchickens with bigmac sauce instead of mayo and you cant forget the white chocolate chip with sprinkles mixed in on the regular menu From Mississippi USA

When I studied aborad in Croatia the school bought us "Mexican". I almost cried how bland it was. It ended up being about three minute walk from my apartment. I won't lie I ate there everyday and brought my hot sauces cuz tacos are better than no tacos. I even learned to tolerate a corona with lemon
