- Assassin's Creed Shadows is an upcoming open-world action RPG developed by Ubisoft. Players will be able to embody two distinct characters, a Japanese shinobi, Naoe, and a real-life historical samurai, Yasuke. Hear from Game Director Charles Benoit and Associate Narrative Director Brooke Davies as they breakdown both characters and how they contrast with each other to offer a fresh gameplay and narrative perspective from both shinobi and samurai. @superpowerdragon It's same with movies and tv shows. To emasculate the asian males
But Yasuke wasn't a Samurai? He served Nobunaga, yes. But he was not someone who was allowed to carry weapons or fight on his behalf.
His primary duty was to carry weapons, Oda trusted him with his life because his sword bearer could easily take Nobunaga's place. Yasuke was given land and a stipend but he was likely never given the samurai title
He did carry weapons
