    We tackled assembling the bike as a family project. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxzg0clhbtRf2gGxPkVETFKJJKGqdsorQu The package is heavy, but I have 2 teen boys that were able to move it. The written instructions were great- we didn't need to watch the videos, but it was good knowing that the option was there if we needed it. After we were able to get it set up, the boys each rode 3 miles and I rode 8 and the bike stayed quiet. The display is easy to reset, and you can put it on whichever setting you are using (time, distance, calories, etc). I will say that my butt is a little sore from the seat, but that could be because I haven't rode in a while. While it is comfortable for me, it was not comfortable with the seat position for my friend (could not move the seat back far enough and he slightly looked like a kid riding a tricycle that he had outgrown). He also said that the seat hurt his manly parts. We are going to look for a different seat that will be compatible with this bike for him.I did purchase the Wahoo Cadence sensor and strapped it to the crank of one of the pedals. This will sync with my Apple Watch, iPhone and will import data in to my Health app. Wahoo does have other sensors available other than cadence. I can also keep either my phone or my iPad on the display and they both feel pretty secure.

    Elle, Sorry for the delayed response!!!
    Not Necessarily, The primary difference between Trainer skewers and Road skewers are Weight. They should both keep your wheel safely on the bike. BUT that being said, it's always a good idea to check skewers, Tires, brakes, and cables, before EACH ride. it's easy and faster than you think!

    quick and full of info, but The proof of the pudding is in the (riding). before ending the guy should have mounted that bike and pedaled, as if he was in a TT up in the stirrups.

    How do you get the trainer skewer off the bike trainer to put it on to ur rear wheel I just brought a bike mate indoor bike trainer and I can't get the trainer skewer off the trainer to put it on my bike

    Before we just dive right into the bike mount, why doesn’t anybody on TH-cam show how to install the resistance unit? That’s step one and I’m stuck trying to figure it out.

    • @HVTraining
      @HVTraining  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Great question.
      I no longer own this trainer and it’s hard to describe other than “once the bike is secured by the skewer, twist the yellow handle at the back of the resistance unit 90 degrees until it makes contact with the tire, twist it back 90 degrees and push it into the locked position. You should see a SLIGHT deformation of the tire (looking like it would if you were to sit on the bike).
      Hope this helps!

    Thanks for sharing. My instructions says for me to remove my axel by my back break and use the skewer/axel provided, but I’m unsure of doing that. Lastly, do I need a rest for my front tire? I have a mountain bike using on carpet.

    Question--Do you need to change out the skewer part w/ the original skewer before road riding? I have a commuter bike that I'd need to get out the door quickly with.

    Great Video - Thank you, My wife purchase a trainer and she is trying to spinning with it. Whenever she stands whilst riding the pedals slip/jerk. Do you have any suggestions for this?

    • @HVTraining
      @HVTraining  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      1. Check tire pressure
      2. If it still happens, you may need to tighten the back flywheel to be a little closer

    Thank you for the video. I am wondering if your indoor trainer has a resistance gauge do you also switch gears when ridding indoors or just use the resistance gauge? If you keep your bike in one gear and only use the gauge does it matter which gear you are in?

    • @HVTraining
      @HVTraining  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You definitely want to use your gears, especially if you have a lower-level trainer. There are lower level indoor trainers, such as the Cyclops Magneto Pro as filmed here, that do not have any adjustment from the handlebars. My advice is almost always to spend a little more on one that does have the handlebar mounted adjuster, so that you can adjust the resistance based on your needs.
      That way you have both the gears and the resistance of the trainer to help you get your workout spot-on.
      Great question.

      I was literally about to ask this! I have a mountainbike arriving this Monday and wanted an indoor trainer for those adverse weather days. Can these machines increase resistance to mimic up and down hill cycling?

    So if my bike dont have a clamping screwer, i cant use a trainer?

    • @HVTraining
      @HVTraining  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +ElitFerret No, you should still be able to use it! You'll just use the bolts, instead of the quick release skewer to mount the bike. Just make sure it sits in the mounts of the trainer in a secure, stable manner!

    I would like to know how you set up your bike for Virtual Racing? Do you add something like this to a smart device etc...?

    • @HVTraining
      @HVTraining  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question!
      In short, you'll need a powermeter, or a smart trainer. If you're using a powermeter, you'll have to purchase a "dongle" which plugs into the USB port on your computer, so it can convey the information to the racing platform.
      Hope this helps, and Have fun!

    The training skewer that came with my trainer doesn't have a little knob at 6 O'clock. So bike hops of the roller???? Is this normal??? I was seriously injured!!

    • @HVTraining
      @HVTraining  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow. Adolf, I am so sorry to hear this! Did you check the manufacturer website or user manual on how to properly mount your bike for that trainer?
      Sounds like something wasn't secured.
      Hope you're ok!

  • @roomodorizersmore8103
    @roomodorizersmore8103 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm lost. There's a long bolt already between wheels. Do you remove that because I notice the axle goes between bolt but I can not attach bolt to end.

    • @HVTraining
      @HVTraining  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The axel which comes with the wheel, as you're talking about, may or may not be designed to take the pressure from the trainer mount. Many trainers come with a special through-axel for this reason.
      I think this answers your question?

    • @HVTraining

      If it's broken off completely and cannot be reattached properly, Try contacting either your local bike shop, or the manufacturer.

    • @HVTraining
      @HVTraining  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Aurelius Puerto Nearly every Trainer will take a standard road bike (700cc wheels), and will also adjust down to 650cc wheel (for Small and Extra Small bikes).
      When it comes to Mountain Bikes, it seems that most, but not all Trainers will take 26 inch Mountain Bike wheels, but you should check the specifications.
