hey if it works it works I used this method to decent success I mean I used a number of things to make it a lot easier, but still I did it though I am the kind of person who maxes out their crafting skills before they fight the first dragon in the game which is actually pretty easy if you know what your doing

Just about gathered all the materials. Almost 600 dwarves ingots, just a few more iron ingots to go and I'll give this a shot.
Finally a leveling guide that rewards actually playing the game not just exploiting bugs.

You can also buy Iron ores from all the smiths in Skyrim, Transmute, wait 1hr, Transmute, rinse repeat, and then craft gold rings. Transmute converts iron ores to silver ores to gold ores, this way you won't have to take all the Dwemer smeltable items.

Be careful for what Dwemer scrap you loot, not all of if can be smelted into Dwarven metal ingots. You don't want to fill up your pockets or your companion''s with unusable stuff, unless you want to sell it. Only take things that begin with an *adjective*, like "bent", "large", "small", or "solid", and don't bother with any levers. Leave the rest.

Already know all of this, but the fact that you start from preparations like Ancient Knowlenge effect, Aetherial crown with Lover stone and sleeping is awesome! I never saw this in other guides and learned all this from UESP wiki :)
What I can add is that it is quite possible to buy a house in Whiterun to level 14, when you can take the quest "Unfathomable Depths", and it's fully worth it. Also you can marry (Ysolda in Whiterun, for example, to complete her quest you can steal mammoth tusk from The Bannered Mare) to get +15% XP bonus from sleeping in the house with your wife/husbund. And if you install Unofficial Skyrim Legendary/Special Edition Patch, you'll gain 15% more XP in smithing from originally bugged Ancient Knowlenge effect to total 20+15+15+15=65% more XP in smithing. Also as an alternative you can make ebony bows from 80lvl smithing, they cost way more than upgraded dwarven bows and give more XP as a result. As already mentioned in comments you can use these bows to upgrade Enchantment, best enchanment (most expensive) for leveling is Banish, and you can easily get it from Fletcher in Solitude from 22lvl. It seems that all :)
Sorry for my english and that wall of text ;)

    • @Biblioholic1993
      @Biblioholic1993 3 ปีที่แล้ว

"Easy." "Banish." I've spent almost an hour and a half hitting the guy. Pro tip, the thieves catches in riften are more helpful than just one merchant. I'd also check the smith every round, if you're waiting, not quicksave scumming.

You need to be level 14 for from-deepest-fathoms to give you the lexicon for that name of quest. In the meantime, you can easily hunt, buy and loot that leather, and mine iron for daggers and shields. Crazy to go into dwarven ruins with less than steel gear. Preferrably orcish or dwarven, but definitely not iron or scavenged armor. At level 22 with the perk, you can upgrade steel into exquisite. That holds for a while in the lower levels.
    Iron mines:
Embershard mine, just uphill of the guardian stones. 2nd biggest I think. There is also 2 more iron veins outside of the back entrance, go left. It looks like one vein, but the top right corner is another vein entirely.
Halted Stream Camp almost directly north of Whiterun, all the way around.
Fort Fellhammer, south southeast of dawnstar
Iron-Breaker mine, in the south of Dawnstar itself. Smallest of these.
There are other locations *with* iron veins, like the "mine" south of winterhold, but they are tiny pitiful things. You'd do better looking for a guide to overworld iron veins. A small run to do is this: below the guardian stones is a vein. Across the river from there are some wolves, go uphill to Annise's Cabin. To the south, and to the east too I think? there are veins bordering the little ledge it's on. Then go west across the mountainside to a tree on a small ledge. Over that and theres a rocky outcrop. 1 or 2 veins there. Bam. Minimum of 12 ore.
Theres also plenty out around whiterun's hill and out passed the farms, some silver, quicksilver too. Major slack attack covers it in one of his Pure Orc Legendary build videos. Find the playlist, click around.
    Corrundum mine for steel smithing:
Pinewatch is just south of Lakeview Manor. A lonely cabin, with a dwemer button in the basement leading to a huge corrundum mine. It has a lot of bandits, and is a thieves guild special mission target I believe, so keep a hold of the silver mould in the treasury room or if you dont intend to do thieves guild quests, don't pick it up. The corrundum also comes in handy for outfitting hearthfire homes.
Oricalcum mines if you don't want to do all of this all at once, and want some more of a leg up on the Forgemaster:
Bilegulch mine is directly west of the mountain chain between whiterun and falkreath holds. On the world border mountains there. A bandit camp, about 5 regular bandits with only the chief inside.
Orc stronghold south of markarth, there is a path to turn down across the river from the road into it. If you started as an orc, or if you did any of the quests that grant you the orc friend tag, that stronghold has an oricalchum mine, I think larger than bilegulch.
For the final outfitting of ebony or daedric, you'll want an ebony mine perhaps. Though admittably, upgraded dwarven bows will buy you plenty of ebony. Still, pure profit won't hurt.
Obviously with Solstheim and the dragonborn expansion, there is Raven Rock mine, in which you have to defeat a shock based dragonpriest before the ebony veins stop glitching out. But thats still only the second biggest ebony mine.
Because orc friend comes in handy again. Because, Gloombelly Mine is in an orc stronghold east of windhelm gates. If you are using torches and not night eyes or an alteration light spell, be aware there is oil traps in there. But counting steal-tagged ore around on barrels and in buckets and the blacksmith table having an ingot, there's almost 40 ore in there.
Then again, you do the dwarven bow route, you will definitely

One thing omitted: when you're at the Mzulft storehouse& you grab the Glowing Crystal Shard, take the time to grab the Dwemer metal pieces in the room; you can get a fair amount of invite from them. Also, once done there, before continuing, to to Reachwind Eyrie (sp?) for more Dwemer metal.
IMPORTANT: Not all pieces can be smelter into ingots! Ignore anything whose name begins with the word "Dwemer", such as "Dwemer Cog".
Then, before doing any more dungeon crawling, smelt the pieces into Dwarven Metal Ingots & store them in a safe location.

My metod is completely different which allows you to level up smiting on level 1. Firstly go to iron mine which is north to Whiterun, there you will find a spell book tat allows you to transmute iron to gold, collect all iron in a mine and transmute it to gold. Secondly go to mine loaded west to silver hand headquarters (you do a mission here when avenging Kodlak) and repeat the same thing. Finaly go to gold mine in the Reach (you can also do a quest for Pavlo which I highly recommend), and collect all gold, now smelter everything from gold ore to gold ingots, which you will use to create gold rings. This method not only gives you smiting, but also gives you alteration leveling up, along with good amount of gold,(you can also level up enchanting in this method).

    - if you are married rent an inn room or send the spouse away during the leveling process( just tell him/her to move somewhere else away from your materials), this is because the lover stone does not stack with lover's confort sleeping bonus
    - Sleeping bonus is forfeit once you become a Werewolf, if you want to keep werewolf status forget sleeping, BUT if you have Dawnguard or Skyrim Special Edition, you can cure yourself, do the leveling and then ask Aela to turn you into a werewolf again
    - To cure Lycantrophy there are two ways, one is the Companions Quest line (the very end once you cured Kodlak and the Twins), or follow Dawnguard's qustline to become a Vampire Lord

I remember using the resto pot glitch to do this, when I did it i felt sad, I literally cheated something that when playing normally takes hours to get, so now I don't use the glitch anymore, but your method.

Sell all that bows and giving for free makes the speech higher and legendary difficulty will make this more challenging. Nice vid.

These are great quests to prepare for levelling up Smithing, but I'd probably get a few levels under my belt before doing them, especially on Legendary Difficulty. I really enjoy the Aetherium quest although it's long. It's obviously great for levelling every skill, since you can have both the Lover Stone and a Guardian Stone of your choice active. The Ancient Knowledge passive ability is so bugged - both effects are not what the description says. However, both bugs are better than the description, anyway.

I guess it's an exploit but i call it a feature. When your follower is full up, drop something and ask them to "do something" then make them pick up the thing. Preferrably after it's a stack so it's faster, but they dont stop "doing something" until you exit out of ordering them. They can do that without carry weight constraints and taking things Out of their inventory is no problem. Clear three dwarven ruins in a row. That'll do ya. But again, your opinion on glitch or feature.
For safe free storage otherwise. If you mine at embershard mine or halted stream camp, pick up a woodsman axe. Chop wood. Give to the Bannered Mare inkeep. The guest room dresser and end table are now safe storage and bed is always free and always well rested, because you're disposition with the inn is "friend." No stolen markers, if it says they are it's lying. Pick it up. It will not have the stolen tag.
You can just dash-n-dip place the lexicon in the Deepest Fathoms quest. No need to fight the centurion, especially if you play on legendary.
This is the way to start legendary-ing your smithing. It's silly to say this is the easy way because you might as well get at least steel armor and weapons and get to level 22 smithing to make it exquisite before you go to the *dwarven ruins* and fight Centurions without an ounce of smithing done. You really want to buy or find steel armor? Or take that hammer and steam damage unarmored? Yikes. Go hit up embershard. Then Pinewatch north of Lakeview Manor plot has tons of corrundum in their bandit home basement. Clearing the place also gets you potion loot to sell, to buy iron for later too.
There's also the fact that if you deliberately don't clear every enemy AND ore in a place, it respawns in 10 days not 30.
Major slack attack knows how to do it better ;) for your first bit of smithing the ancient knowledge and aethereal crown is totally unnecessary! And dangerous to do that without even a BIT of smithing. Maybe after smithing level 60 when it gets slower and you're wearing orcish (bilegulch mine is in the northwest of falkreath hold, the orcish stronghold on the road south out of markarth stables also has an oricalchum mine.) You can look up where the Last Scabbard of Akrash is out of Riften passed the black briar lodge, two minutes on a horse and all orcs are cool with you after you give the book to the smith in Markarth.
You really want to become orcfriend anyways, because once you get smithing to 100 then sure you could fight for raven rock mine, the 2nd biggest ebony mine that tends to love glitching out on you on the switch... or you could get on to Gloombelly Mine in the stronghold east of Windhelm, and only fight three patches of exploding oil for your torches. Get the candlelight spell, it's 300g max, so sell two dwarven bows you made. No contest! Full arms and armor up!
Then whichever mine you went to, go to the other one once you have 6 to 8 daedric hearts, depending on if you are a one or two hander and if you want a bow. If yes to the bow, extra is always good to get arrows, but I tend to go dragonbone for those seeing as daedric hearts cost so much and are a pain to track down and all, while you naturally acquire plenty of dragonbone normally playing.
For armor i tend to pick daedric over dragonbone. Either way you beat the armor cap, and the speech intimidation bonus is fun to use.
Once your smithing is just sitting at 100, if you buy up ebony ingots and make bows to improve, its decent profit if you have amulet of zenithar and blessing of charity for the beggar's dollar. VERY profitable if you get some good fortify smithing gear, and or potions. (You'll start bartering to sell them, merchants dont carry that much cash. But there is your speech levels! Get the merchant perk quick!)
    Skyrim can be fun.
