Cloud is occasionally taken over by sephiroth through the original and current story line. The mako poisoning ptsd and insanity all play a role. Seph controls the other experiments cloud has some measure of free will left.
@@spiraljumper74 I disagree cloud is often spoken to directly by seph it can all be his insanity but it’s many times through the original and remake implied that he’s taken over such as when he hands over the black materia
@@plugliferecords8618 Sephiroth can manipulate the Jenova cells in the Sephiroth clones, manifesting through them due to Jenova’s protean nature, and to a lesser extent in Cloud he can use them to physically exert control or produce hallucinations. Cloud’s whole cadre of false personas, including this little episode of using Sephiroth’s fighting style and mannerisms, are the result of his Jenova cells reading memories from people like Sephiroth, Aerith and Tifa, and creating personality constructs and muscle memory from them. He is controlling him at some points, but the Jenova cells are the mechanism for that control.
You know, if I was a Shinra Security force and saw a dude with a big ass sword able to dodge bullets just by tilting his head, I'd be like, "F it, I'm out." and run away as fast as my cowardly legs would carry me.
I love how you can instantly tell that Sephiroth got his hands on Cloud's mind when Cloud holds up his sword over his shoulder with purple particles floating around the blade, the same way Sephiroth fought in his boss fight in the last game
So, just to make sure: up until now, before he went berserk, what have Cloud and Co. been doing to their enemies by using blades, bullets, scorching flames and so forth? I'm pretty sure a Focused Thrust in your guts or a Maximum Fury on your face are quite not that pleasant.
It's a difference of Gameplay vs Story. But, usually he's shown only applying as much force as he needs to finish the job. Killing or incapacitating guards in a single hit and leaving it at that. Here, he's getting way to into it, and making it hurt.
They're inconsistent because Cloud is flawed. He's insecure despite being insanely strong even as a kid, he feels constant guilt of failure even though he's never really been the cause of anyone's pain. I like that Cloud's power is impacted by his attitude and ego. It makes him a far more human hero; we all are stronger when our confidence and abilities are aligned.
I’m playing through it again I’m seeing alot that I haven’t seen in my other playthroughs. I had just noticed he does the Sepiroth sword pose before he crashes out n kills everybody. I was like oh shit boy lol
I mean... he is ? The only thing he does left handed here is impale that shinra grunt after slicing him upwards. Also, Cloud is ambidextrous to a point, he dual wields flawlessly in advent children, for example.
@@00vondough00 they should have kept that part. not only does it add to Cloud's guilt, it depicts Aerith as far more forgiving, understanding and unconditionally loving to be able to see past it
That moment you realize Cloud was fighting like Sepiroth. 🤯
THIS, those were 100% Sephiroth's moves man, I LOST IT

Cloud is unhinged like the whole game and everyone just keeps ignoring the fact he's 1 hallucination away from killing everyone lol

Him dodging bullets by literally _tilting his head_ has got to be one of the most terrifying things ever for whoever stands in front of him.

Cloud your Sephiroth is showing xD
Lol exactly
What an epic and horrifying moment, shows how powerful Cloud is when he has the merciless killorific mindset of sephiroth controlling him
Such a twisted take on "to be like your hero"
Facts lol
Might be Sephiroth's influence, but this is still Cloud's doing. This is what a mako infused superhuman can do.

See, I know this is supposed to be a bad thing Cloud is doing, which it is. But, man does he look so cool doing it😂
Yes! This is what i want! Make Cloud’s power levels consistent!

Why would you join them not Avalanche instead to begin with😂

He also uses his left hand when doing the Sephiroth impale. Sephiroth is left-handed.
I saw this part today, it was so cool 😭
What is the name of the track that starts playing at 0:25 please?
It's the same track from FF7 Remake called "Arbiter of Fate - Advent"
Tifa... You're a bit too late... And you should've said "Cloud, that's too much!"

Sephiroth is left-handed.
The key here is; Sephiroth is left-handed

Rebirth had too many Sephiroth appearances. And Cloud lost his mind one too many damn times.
They have to show how brutal Cloud has become to compensate the removed beating of Aerith at the temple.
