Aye, sit fer a spell, then, laddies n' lasses, and pull up a keg o' ale, fer I've a legend te share with ye. If ye be a common visitor to these waters, ye may a' heard the sounds o' music and song drift over the waves from afar. Some say it be the seas themselves singin', others say it be one's own mind driven mad by seasickness. But they all be wrong. When ye hear those songs, ye be hearing the sound many a kingsman know te be the harbinger o' their death and the pillagin' o' their valuables... ...ye be hearing the crew of the Swan Song...man o' war, rumored to once be the ship a' the governor a' Panama 'fore they stole it and threw the poor Spaniard te a watery grave in shark-infested waters. Aye, they sing as would a merry band strollin' along the coast a' Tortuga. But make no mistake. These scoundrels are among the most vicious pirates ever to sail the Carribean. Their gunner, just te name one, be a dog of a man named Richard Edward Bichler...but you may know him better as Richard the Eb. He'll play a fine tune fer yer enjoyment, sure. But beware when his ragged voice carries with it the word "fire!" For when it does, expect a broadside so fierce, you'd a' thought it ordered by Satan himself. Aye, and then there be Anna Pantsu. A wily woman, she. Seductive as she is clever. It's said that she were once a nobleman's daughter from Finland or Denmark or some such place. I hear she hangs her hat with the Canadians some summers. Anyhow, she be the sailin' master, and blow me down, be she a good one. Never underestimate her strategic mind. Many a sailor has met their end fer such a mistake. Next be their dreaded quartermaster: Colm McGuinness. That filthy mongrel of an Irishman may put on a lovely smile, but be warned. Ye stare intae the face of death itself when he shoots a glare at ye. If his stone cold voice don't stop yer heart, his whip will be sure to remove the fresh straight from the bone -- as many a defiant sailor found out the hard way. Then there be Caleb Hyles. Sure as ye know 'im, he be the First Mate a' the ship. I hear tell he lost an eye to a Frenchman's rifle during a mighty battle. The Frenchman ended up losin' both a' his before being marooned on a lowly island in the middle a' the sea. His voice be second only to that a' the captain, so when he speaks, best ye listen. Speakin' a' the captain... Ye know the name from Cuba to Madagascar. And his legend be as great as his bloodlust. That be right; I speak a' none other than "Black" Jonathan Young himself. Nobody knows where he came from. Nobody knows what devil spawned a man with as black a heart. But it be clear; ye find yerself in his sights, and ye have something he wants...well...all's I can wish ye is...good luck. These five brigands an' their crew a' singin' cutthroats are dreaded fer a reason. Alone, they be dangerous. Together, they be as God's own wrath, spilling down on ye all at once. On the other hand, if nothin' else, take comfort in this: if they do kill ye...know they'll give yer death a lovely serenade...

@@jonathanymusic omg I just caught that. Fantastically done, it adds great depth there.
I'm so glad we got a full version of this and I freaked out when I heard colms voice. Y'all did so good!
This is the best Collab ever. Arguably the best musicians on TH-cam. Jonathan's voice and skill with his instruments along with Colm McGuinness's ability to sing in 3 octaves was the most noticeable part. This is now top of my favourites.
Jonathan also is a master of making everyone's voices sound even better. Like seriously he has some insane skill on the editing floor thats underappreciated.
I am in physical and emotional agony over the fact that annapantsu doesn't sing more metal songs.
You guys, and specifically you Jonathan, really make me want to learn guitar and vocals again. Your music really hits the soul in a way I haven’t felt before
I love this little thing that during the guitar solo Richaad is actually highlighted showing that it is him that playing during it. I love it.
Colm went deeper than Davy Jones Locker, AMAZING!
if i had the low notes like this my neck would explode
This is my secret wish that I never dared speak aloud I'm so excited that I get to listen this anytime I want to hear a sea shanty taken to the extreme with such great vocals from that truly great bass tone and I always love to hear annapantsu sing I love it and I can't wait to see if their will be anymore in the future I truly hope so
I can't stop listening to this song... I am so excited for it to be released on Spodify.
This makes me want to be on the crows nest holding on for dear life, sword in hand, pointing skyward as we voyage for untold riches while a hurricane of the century rages in the seven seas.
Such an amazing cover of one of my favorite shanties. And I'm so happy to hear that you had fun doing this cover!
Everyone talks about how Caleb has a range of voices, but are we not gonna talk about how Colm becomes his own voice three different times?
I would give anything to see this crew play themselves as a D&D party!
This is fantastic!
Y'all blew this out of the water! Anna has the perfect metal voice 👌 wasn't expecting such excellence
Anna sounds so incredible up there oh my god I can't stop replaying her part ;-; goosebumps all over my arms every single time
My best friend and I literally fell in love with the great variety of voices featured in this cover, where from Anna's powerful voice to Colm's dark and engaging bass and Rich's great vocal skills. Oh, obviously without taking anything away from Jon and Caleb. Great and synergistic. It will now be the seventh time I've listened to it again this morning.
What can I say? yo ho ho, that the sea holds the most wonderful adventures for you!
It's been two weeks since this came out and i'm still listening to it a few times a day... I NEED THIS ALBUM PLEASE NOW THANK YOU
1:53 This is my first time hearing Colm so I was NOT expecting how deep his voice could go
The "Weigh hey roll and go" gives me goosebumps
Kudos to annas power belting.lol could tell calebs vocals from a mile away.
This song made the weekend better. Must say I played it multiple times. Everyone has their own unique sound that all seem to work together perfectly.
Yeah ! I was recently looking for new pirate song and... there's it come ! Thanks ! The song and the cast is awesome (as always). I'm gonna go to Colm channel, never heard of him before... I'm curious now !
This be the grandest crew in all the TH-cam seas.

You guys are utterly amazing and I just hope that I can sing as well as you guys, this comment may be a silent message in the sea but I’ll make sure I’ll make it in the big leagues
I love how my favorite musicians all did a song together, this was dynamite you guys!
Anna: best highs, colm: best lows, jon: best all, caleb: most armonic, richard: perfect solo
A-MA-ZING
DUDE ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! that last note you held was insane. you placed it like a proper finish, but your tonal quality was somewhere between a growl and a subharmonic! you can hear the low fry causing an octave drop but your chest voice is still heavily present and resonate. you are something else my guy
Very nice writing
hands down best shanty ive heard thus far. please more of this, like yesterday...... please.......im beggin ya'..... dont leave grandma hangin
Anna is gorgeous as always 🥰
I love this so much. So so much. You all sound so amazing and I can just vibe and enjoy myself. It's a rare gift to give me, so thank you all so much!
